Watched this phenomenal set many times over the years and I cannot recall ever seeing and hearing a more extraordinary ensemble of prodigious musical talent in any music genre over the last 50 years. I’ve always loved and appreciated this music and all the super talented musicians who made this genre happen in the 70s. I have never failed to be moved it’s totally from another world. when I was a teenager I followed a fast growing and ultra cool underground Jazz funk movement that was popular in England in the early 80s. This was just before the advent of the revolutionary Electro-funk genre. Chick Coreys RTF, and the Latin Jazz rock/fusion sub genre he helped pioneer and this band, was among a whole slew of American Jazz fusion artistes pioneering this sound. This band was the zenith of his musical achievements IMO. The pop, rock and dance charts were already rocking to early hip hop, synth pop and electro at this time. This epic musical brilliance was sadly overshadowed by much of that, Hell even Herbie Hancock got in on the electro boogie bus with his legendary Rockit album during this era. I’ve always felt sorry for the many youngsters who missed much of this classic jazz fusion sound that Chick Corea championed whilst the musical revolution happened and musical tastes changed. Thankfully YT has all this legendary music on tap 🙏🏽

Scott Henderson, he's the best guitarist most people have never heard of. it is 2022, and Scott has been your guitar teacher's teacher favourite guitarist for DECADES. And yes, he KILLS IT playing jazz, playing blues, pretty sure if a classic rock band hires him, he'll do justice and and even take the band further into the realm of performance awesomeness. Mo'fucka came from the same planet as Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Gambale, Guthrie Govan, Steve Vai, Pat Metheny... Maybe just a different country from the same exoplanet in a different galaxy.

The great master, my hero is gone and I am heart broken. I had hoped Chick would've lived forever or at least survived me, but alas, this was not to be.
Chick, you were absolutely one-of-a-kind. A great pianist/keyboardist, easily grouped with the greatest composers that ever walked the planet.
Farewell and Rest in Peace maestro. I can only pray that I may be worthy of meeting you and listening to you play again on the other side...

Chris isn't only good.... He is brilliant.... but nothing in my view compared with Dave Weckl. This isn't... hummmm LOYALTY for D.W. on my part. It is only that nobody on this planet compares with the musical genius, technique and beauty of Dave Weckl's drumming. Innovative, like no other, the versatility of the man in unequal !. Nobody reaches Dave Weckl's ankles --- Search You Tube "Chick Corea Elektric Band - Got a match? (Parte 2)" pay particular attention to the bit there 6:00 to 6:15 listen to the whole video if you like but see the genius of Weckl in those 15 seconds.
