Hi! Just wanted to add that elastic that is specifically marked as swim elastic is made to withstand the chemicals like chlorine in a pool. Chlorine will quickly break down normal elastic. Also, since elastic on swimwear should only be slightly stretched while sewing, and I personally do not like the look of a zig zag stitch, you can use the Gutermann Maraflex Thread for a normal stitch. This has a wonderful stretch to it but is used like any other thread and can be used with a straight stitch or zig zag. But I would use a 3mm stitch rather than a 2.5.

I recently got a beautiful black cover with piano fringe that would look so great over a swimsuit or the dress in the peacock print! Oh yeah! We old school gals really miss that aspect of fabric shipping. So your recommendations are greatly appreciated.
