I want to give up but I’m walking with Jesus. So I will continue to trust in him even though I’m struggling, I will never lose hope. Jesus is the only light in this world. As a single mother things are difficult on me. My husband passed years ago I’m alone. I’m overwhelmed at times because both of my children are autistic. I’m struggling trying to support them and myself because like so many others. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back to the hospital but the mandate is still in place for hospitals that participate in Medicare and Medicaid. I’m waitressing and I’m so thankful to be working again, but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. I get harassed and called names for simply asking for prayers, but prayers are all we need. I want to give up, but God gives me strength to keep going. I have faith God will provide. WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Please pray for me and my children.

This episode is gold; it is so upsetting to hear how many ignorant people diminish our lady. The most ironic is that not even Lutero, the father of the protestant church, preached what the protestant churches preach today about mama Mary. As you said, only educated Protestants could understand this. congratulation. thank you so much. Father Rich we saw at the coronation of the Madre de la leche in St Agustine. Please tell the miracles happening there on another episode. God Bless you.

What a great show. I learned so much as I often do from listening. Our mother Mary inspires so many of us. I never understood the protestant comment that the mother of our Lord Jesus was just some woman and of no real consequence. That is not logical. God Bless.

      By David J. Stewart
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." -1st Timothy 2:5
The Mary which Roman Catholics worship is not the Mary of the Bible. Biblically, Mary was only human. God chose her to be a vessel to bring His beloved Son into the world. But Roman Catholics bow down to statues of Mary, exonerate and venerate her more then Christ Jesus.
In Exodus 20:4-5 God said, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them..." Mary would never be a part of this! She was not there when Christ created the universe. Christ was God long before she was ever born. Bowing to Mary is a sin!
Roman Catholic teaching states Mary was sinless. That is not true. In Luke 1:46-47, she too admitted that she needed a Savior. Like all Jewish mothers, Mary gave a sacrificial offering of two turtle doves (Luke 2:21-24). Romans 3:23 declares, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Catholics have created a monster, called The Blessed Virgin, or Queen of Heaven. The Catholic Mary is a fraud, a demonic myth. Catholics teach that Mary was born without a sin-nature (called the Immaculate Conception), lived a sinless life, remained aperpetual virgin, and was bodily assumed into Heaven. Not one of these false doctrines can be supported with the Bible. Yet, Catholics fully reject the Word of God to keep their own TRADITIONS instead (Mark 7:9).
Mary saw her son crucified, but He came to die and pay the price for all the sins of mankind, including her own. God's blood ran through Jesus' veins (John 3:16; Acts 20:28). If you are saying that Christ is without sin, then you are right. You can find this teaching in 2nd Corinthians 5:21 and 1st Peter 2:22. The Scriptures state there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) and one Mediator between God and men, and that is Jesus Christ (1st Timothy 2:5). Jesus is the ONLY one we can go to for salvation (Acts 4:10-12). In John 14:6, Jesus said He is the ONLY way to Heaven. There are absolutely NO two mediators.

I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean, the comment from Villaseñor.
But I wanted to say to @bridgetnyior5392:
I had an experience very similar to yours, except that the image I saw of Mary was a small statuette, not a picture. I had probably seen pictures of her before, I’m not sure, because I was only 7 years old at the time. What happened is that my best friend, a little girl that lived next door, went to Catholic school and was being prepared for her first Holy Communion. My parents had left the Catholic Church before I was born so I was being raised as a sort of Protestant, but more often than not we just never went to church. Therefore, when my little friend (I’ll call her Annie) was given a small statue of Mary by the nuns at her school, along with the rest of her class, she took it home to show me a part of her faith. One day we were playing outside and she brought it outside to show me. Annie repeated what the nuns had explained. Mary was the Mother of Jesus, so She was the Mother of God. Also, She was the Mother of all of us so we could always turn to her for help.
My little 7 year old soul was blown away. Mary was so beautiful! And She was my Mother, too! At that moment I knew I would always hold Her in my heart as something very special. As I grew, I knew that Mary was only accepted as a truly wonderful being by Catholics, and so with time I realized that I would convert to Catholicism as soon as I was old enough to take that step on my own. And I did. Annie had played a big role in my life but after we moved away a year later, I never saw her again.
I’ve gone into a lot more detail than you did in your story; I apologize for talking too much! But it’s hard for me to keep my story brief, even though it was of short duration, because it affected the rest of my life in the most profound way.
      Thanks for reading this!

      ------Is Mary Sinless catechism?
The encyclical Mystici corporis Christi from Pope Pius XII (1943) holds that Mary was also sinless personally, "free from all sin, original or personal". The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that by the grace of God "Mary remained free of every personal sin her whole life long."
Catholics mantain that Mary remained a virgin. But, 1 Cor 7:5 Do not deny yourselves to each other, unless you first agree to do so for a while in order to spend your time in prayer; but then resume normal marital relations. In this way you will be kept from giving in to Satan's temptation because of your lack of self-control.

---------When did Catholic Church start worshiping Mary?
The earliest recorded prayer to Mary is the sub tuum praesidium (3rd or 4th century) and the earliest depictions of her are from the Priscilla catacombs in Rome (early 3rd century).
And yet they say Catholics do not worship her.
------The history of Catholic Mariology traces theological developments and views regarding Mary from the early Church to the 21st century. Mariology is a mainly Catholic ecclesiological study within theology, which centers on the relation of Mary, the Mother of God, and the Church. Theologically, it not only deals with her life but with her veneration in life and prayer, in art, music, and architecture, from ancient Christianity to modern times.

First of all, you posted a whole paragraph, it’s a little weird.
Secondly, you don’t need to be OmniPotent to hear the prayers of even every person on earth, as earth has a finite number of people. Omniscience means something akin to, knowing everything possible. The devil seems to tempt everyone individually according to the Bible, and yet we don’t say the devil is omnipotent. So, if the devil has this ability, then why can’t God help His friends to do the same?
Third, you say Mary cannot be both the Mother of God and the Mother of Christ. That is heresy. Mary is the Mother of God, because Mary is the Mother of Christ, and Christ is God. The title “Mother of God” and the title “Theotokos” (God-Bearer), came into usage actually because of a Chrsitological heresy. You see, Christ is One Person, with Two Natures, Fully God, and Fully Man inside this One Person. This is called the Hypostatic Union. Saying Mary gave Birth to just the Human side of Jesus would be therefore splitting Jesus Christ into two Persons. Since you give Birth to a Person annd not a Nature. For example, when someone aborts a b-by they anbort a person, not a nature. And that is why the title of Mother of God came to be. Since Christ is One Person, and you give Birth to a Person, then you have to say Mary gave Birth to the Person, Christ, or the Person Who is Fully God and Fully Man. Hence, Mary is the Mother of God, since Christ is God. Saying Mary is the Mother of Christ, not God, is saying Christ is actually two persons.
      4. Catholics go by Apostolic Tradition and Scripture. We don’t believe in Scripture Alone. This wasn’t believed by any Christians until 1517 AD, and it’s a man-made doctrine. We also believe the Apostles teaches and preached and that these teachings were passed down orally through the Church. These are the Word of God, just like the Bible. The Bible, in fact is a collection of multiple Books put together by the Catholic Church, at the Council of Rome, so you wouldn’t even know what is Scripture and what isn’t without the Catholic Church. Technically, you can find all doctrine in the Bible, but implicitly and through reason and deduction, but everything isn’t explicitly stated. So some Catholic beliefs come mainly from Tradition.

      >>>>>Praying of the Rosary Is NOT Bible-Based Teaching
by Vince Olaer | Doctrines and Theology, Pastoral, Theology
Praying The Rosary Is Not Biblical, And Is A Form Of Idolatry
Just last Sunday, a local newspaper paper released an article teaching that the praying of the Holy Rosary is Bible-based. In the first two paragraphs, the writer admittedly says that there is no passage in the Bible teaching nor mentioned about the praying of Rosary.
However, in the following paragraphs, the writer justified the praying of the Rosary basing it on the repetition of historical events of some Bible characters (like Gideon as he mentioned) about Israel’s history.
I don’t know if the writer of this article did some research about the origin of rosary and how it was deeply encouraged for Roman Catholics.
Praying of Rosary was encouraged when Lucia Dos Santos and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto caimed to have an apparation from an angel teaching them to pray in the spring of 1916. They were asked to pray repeatedly by the angel who appeared to them. This is why the Catholics were convinced that they have to pray repeatedly.
The flaw however in the story was that, the angel gave two sets of completely different prayers. The angel appeared to the three children three times.
Then after a year, 1917, it was said that Our Lady of Rosary had an apparitions for 7 times. In her second apparition the Our Lady said:
“I wish you to come here the 13th of next month; that you say the Rosary every day, and that you learn to read. In succeding months I will tell you what else I want.” “I would like to ask you to bring us to Heaven“, said Lucy. “Yes, Giacinta and Francis will be among the few, but you must stay here for a long time. Jesus wants to help Himself of you to make Me known and loved. God wishes you to remain in the world for some time because He wants to use you to establish in the world a devotion to my Immaculate Heart. I promise salvation to those who embrace it, and their souls will be loved by God as flowers placed by myself to adorn His throne.” Lucy asked: “Will I stay here alone”?, “Don’t be discouraged , I will not abandon you ever. My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and through it will conduct you to God.”
Now here are the flaws of this apparition. First, the Our Lady is telling the children to teach the people to make her known and be loved. Note that the apparition was initiated not by Jesus, nor an angel, but the very person who wants to be made known. It is like, someone came to you and asked you using the name of your friend to introduce her to other people that you know.
The second flaw, Our Lady promises salvation to those who embrace this command. A completely heretical claim, and totally in contrast to what the Bible is saying. The Bible is very clear in saying that “…whosoever believes in Him (Jesus) will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).” Only God can give salvation. This is the Biblical truth that cannot be altered, deducted nor added.
Third flaw, Our Lady claims that her immaculate heart will be our refuge and through it will conduct you to God. This is another contradiction to what the Bible is saying. “Come to me all you labor and are heavily burdened and I will give you rest (Matt.11:28)”, “I am the way the truth and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6)”.
The truth is, there is only one mediator between God and man, it is only Jesus Christ (Hebrews chapters 6,7,8,9, and 10)
This is the statement coming from the third apparition:
“In october I will tell you who I am, that which I want, and I will do a miracle that all can see and believe. Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say often this prayer, especially during any sacrifice: “O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the sins commited against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.“
The flaw of the third apparition is the claiming of honor which belongs to Jesus Christ, and the idea of co-equality with Jesus. Though she did not claim co-equality, but the fact of showing that people committed sins against her proposes the idea of deity that people needs to be so sorry for not recognizing her. The Bible tells us that there are three persona where we committed sins, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And now, here comes the Mary, an addition to the Holy Trinity.
Now let’s look at this additional quotations from the third apparition. This is more like “Our Lady” centered command rather than “Jesus” centered command. Russia will be consecreted to Our Lady of Rosary than instead of Jesus. Notice the number of recitation of the Rosary. At the end of each decade (10), there is only one calling for Jesus help.
This is quoted from the last (6th) apparition
“I am the Lady of the Rosary, I desire here a chapel in my honor to be built, that people continue to recite the Rosary every day. Will the war finish. The war is going to end, and the soldiers will soon return to their homes.” Then Lucy asked: “may I ask you for cures and conversions, will you grant them?”. “Some yes, others no. It is necessary that they ask pardon for their sins, that they don’t offend God our Lord, and that he is already too much offended.” “Do you Want anything else from me?” Lucy asked. “I do not want anything more.“
The flaw of the 6th apparition is that the Lady of the Rosary is asking for a chapel in “HER” honor, and not Jesus’ nor the Father’s honor. We have to note that taking glory which supposed to be for God is a serious sin, this is idolatry.
The apparition is completely directing people in a wrong path. It is completely in contradiction with what the Bible is saying. The Bible warn us about these kinds of apparitions in Galatians 1:8 “But even though we (referring to Paul and his companions) or an angel from heaven, which should preach to you any gospel other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.” This is a strong warning that we should be careful in believing apparitions especially if it gives another teachings that what the Bible already have taught us.
Just some additional observations concerning the apparition of Our Lady of Rosary. Our Lady appeared “6” times. In Hebrew culture (the Israelite culture), 6 is the imperfect number. A number usually associated with evil things. Thus, the number of the Beast in the Book of Revelations tells us that it is 666.
Another observation is the dates of the apparition. The apparition dates are significantly on the 13th of every month of that year. Even until, Roman Catholics believe that 13th is always associated with evil things like Friday the 13t h bad luck and not placing 13th floor on buildings. Not to mention all the horror movies that happens on Friday the 13th.
Now let me ask you, do you really believe that these apparitions comes from God? These apparition and commands are completely in contrast to what the Bible teaches us. They are “Our Lady of Rosary” centered rather than “God” centered. The apparitions promotes glory and honor for “Our Lady of Rosary” rather than the glory of God. And finally, even culture related things are in contradiction to the apparitions. Not to mention its lack of Apostolicity and Biblical support.
The praying of Rosary is another heretical belief of the Roman Catholic church to which Catholics are willing fight for.

There is no biblical evidence that any created being in heaven can pray or intercede for humans on earth. This includes Mary, church fathers, apostles, saints, and angels. Despite the beliefs of Roman Catholics that place undue weight on tradition, the Bible offers no proof that people in heaven can pray for us on earth.
Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the only ones that can intercede for us. You have a tall hill to climb buddy if you're going to prove otherwise. Traditions and early church fathers don't trump the inspired, infallible word of God. It is the ulitmate authority by which all other authorities are subject.
I know you've considered at some point in your faith the question of "why don't I find Catholicism or it's teachings in Scripture?" That was the Holy Spirit speaking if it's happened and He was trying to open your eyes but you chose to believe men instead.

One thing I've noticed by me, as a Lutheran moving to Roman Catholicism, is the fact that a few Protestants like to diminish or marginalize apologists like Trent and others by calling them "pop apologists." This is definitely an eliist mindset. This is one of the things that clued me in to the falsity of Protestantism in general (that truth can only be discovered by elite scholars), Sola Scriptura being the initial domino that fell for me.

My belief is that Mary would have wanted to die like her son in pain no matter in what kind of death. She would have taken on another sword 😢. BUT, I believe that JESUS would never allow that to happen to her. He saw her earthly body was getting old and tired and took her straight to heaven before she physically died.
Of course if she did die she would go straight to heaven, but in my heart I believe he just scooped her up , weak but alive. ❤

As far as Saint Joseph being a widower and having Children from his 1st. Marriage.
If you read the book(s) The Mystical City of God by Ven. Mary of Agreda.
Which is basically a Biography of Mother Mary's life given to her by Mother Mary herself.
Saint Joseph and Mother Mary had no other Children period. And both where perpetual Virgens. God gave both of them a special grace of chastity so neither one if them would experience nor have feelings of lust.
It mentions that when Christ was born her Virgenty remained intact and she had little to no birthing pains.
Now this is private revelation but it is approved reading. And fascinating Mother Mary is so much more then we realize. And her life was truly focused on one thing and one thing only Christ along with being as Christ like in all things possible Charity, Love of Neigbor, Humbleness, Humility, Servitude, obedience, and the list goes on and on.
And I feel at least the fact that Ven. Mary of Agreda is one of the uncorrupted gives validation to what she wrote.
But reserch yourself make up your own mind.

    >>> The organisation of the church is such that Christ is the head, Col 1:18; each congregation is independent, 1 Pet 5:2; each area of work is done by leaders of that local congregation, Eph 4:11-12; elders (also known as pastor Eph 4:11, shepherds 1 Pet 5:2-4, rulers Heb 13:17, bishops or overseers Acts 20:28, 1 Tim 3:1f) and deacons Acts 6:1-6, should be appointed in each local church, Titus 1:5-9, Acts 4:11; also each church should have minister(s) 2 Tim 4:5 (also called preacher 1 Tim 2:7, Tim 1:11, Rom 10:14, evangelist 2 Tim 4:5, teacher 2Tim1:11).
So our Lord Jesus Christ never left the power of the church to only one. Finally, the headquarters of the church is not in Rome but in heaven 1 Pet 3:22, here Christ is, waiting to hand over the church to the Father.

One issue I would raise: you guys stressed the importance of Aristotelian logic (amen), but then when Trent was talking about Mary’s perpetual virginity, he said “it was fitting” for her to stay virgin and not have kids. I’m not convinced by that logic. You can argue that because of X, all kinds of things (A, B, C) are fitting; but why should I believe that those things are in fact true? They might be true. But I want more positive evidence that they are true. Especially (with something like Mary potentially having more children, Jesus’s brothers and sisters) where you have strong evidence going in the opposite direction.

Martin Luther prayed the Rosary BUT he used a shorter Hail Mary prayer - he omitted the phrase “Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death- amen “
Protestants who pray the Rosary use this shorter Hail Mary prayer too especially the traditional Anglicans , traditional Lutherans and traditional Episcopalians
Because all Protestants believe in their “theology” that Christians only pray to God and Christ directly - they don’t believe in Saints and Mary as intercessors of prayers
The Protestant Hail Mary prayer -
Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee , blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus . amen

Martin Luther --- "You see that these words are not concerned with prayer but purely with giving praise and honor.. .We can use the Hail Mary as a meditation in which we recite what grace God has given her. Second, we should add a wish that everyone may know and respect her...He? who has no faith is advised to refrain from saying the Hail Mary. (Personal Prayer Book, 1522)."
You can use the "Hail Mary", . Luther did.. Hmmm?
Martin Luther -- "Whoever possesses a good (firm) faith, says the Hail Mary without danger! Whoever is weak in faith can utter no Hail Mary without danger to his salvation. (Sermon, March 11, 1523). Our prayer should include the Mother of God.. .What the Hail Mary says is that all glory should be given to God, using these words: "Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee; blessed? art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus Christ. Amen!"
      Interesting, Hmmm.
The veneration of Mary is inscribed in the very depths of the human heart. (Sermon, September 1, 1522)."
"It is the consolation and the superabundant goodness of God, that man is able to exult in such a treasure. Mary is his true Mother ..? (Sermon, Christmas, 1522)"? Really?? Hmm...ok..
Yes... Martin Luther. So which is it, Pastor Lassman.. Did you change your mind about The Blessed Virgin Mary or is Martin Luther wrong?😍😍

    3) Is it sufficient to ask intercessory prayers only to our fellow Christians who are physically alive?

    • @manny75586
      @manny75586 Год назад

      1. No it is not compulsory
      2. No it doesn't weaken your salvation at all if you only pray to God
      3. There is nothing in dogma that says only asking intercession of the living affects your salvation. But that question has error in it. Because it assumes the saints are dead. But if they are dead, then the promise of everlasting LIFE is a false promise. So I'd refrain from making that argument as an atheist would make a similar argument.
(There are a litany of reasons to believe they can interact with the living in scripture. St Michael hears the laments and comes to battle Satan. St. Gabriel breaks the good news to Mary. Revelations also talks about the saints answering the prayers of the Church Militant...a big reason Luther wanted to justify removing the book from the Protestant Bible. So we have scriptual evidence that those who are on Earth can communicate with those in the Church Triumphant).
The Church encourages praying to Saints to enrich your spiritual journey. If simply saying 500 Jesus prayers enriches you, so be it. It doesn't endanger your standing with God or the Church.

She is the Virgin. She is the Only One. She is the Perfect One. The Complete
One. Conceived as such. Generated as such. Remained such. Crowned such.
Eternally such. She is the Virgin. She is the acme of intangibility, of purity, of
grace that is lost in the Abyss from which it emerged: in God: most perfect
    Intangibility, Purity, Grace.
That is the revenge of the God Trine and One. Against creatures desecrated He
raises this Star to perfection. Against pernicious curiosity He raises this Coy
Virgin, contented only with loving God. Against the science of evil, this sublime
Innocent Virgin. In Her there is not only no knowledge of dejected love: there is
not only non-acquaintance with the love that God had given to married people.
Much more. In Her there is the absence of incentives, the inheritance of Sin. In
Her there is only the icy and white-hot wisdom of divine love. A fire that
strengthens the flesh with ice, so that it may be a transparent mirror at the altar
where God married a Virgin and does not lower Himself because His perfection
embraces Her perfection, which, as it becomes a bride, is only inferior to His by

    Why are some angels saints?
    Answer:
The word saint comes from the Latin word sanctus, which means “holy.” We used the title “saint” before the names of those we know are in heaven.
The Bible reveals the names of only three angels: Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel. They are referred to with “saint” before their name because they are holy and are in heaven. We do not know the names of the other angels and do not attempt to name them, but they are all saints.

--Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
---Job 14:10-12 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?
11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
---Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

--John 3:13--And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
---Psalm 6:5--For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
---Ecclesiastes 9:5-For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
    >>
1 thessalonians 4:13-18 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

My question is that if Mary is the mother of God,...then is she also the mother of the Holy Spirit since it is part of the Trinity? Also, if Mary gave birth to Jesus then how can she remain a virgin as human? I enjoy the show and discussions, God bless.

    • @kyrptonite1825
      @kyrptonite1825 9 месяцев назад

No, Mary is the Mother of God, because Mary is the Mother of Jesus Christ, One Person, Who is fully God and Fully Man. Saying Mary is just the Mother of the human side would be essentially saying that Jesus is two persons, which is wrong. Or saying Jesus eventually became God, which is also wrong. Or saying that you give Birth to a nature and not a person, which is just wrong. Here’s an argument:
      1. Babies are persons
      2. You give birth to babies
      3. Therefore, you give birth to persons
Mary did not create God, She didn’t create God the Son. She Birthed Jesus Christ, Who is God. Now, each GodHead is Fully God, meaning that no GodHead is less God than the others. The GodHeads aren’t like all Parts of One Whole, but Each GodHead is FullyGod. So Mary did give Birth to God. However, Mary did not give Birth to the other Persons of the Trinity. The Father is not the Son, and the Holy Spirit is not the Son. Even though they are all the same God. I know this is confusing, but God is greater than the universe and this is hard for our small brains to comprehend.

    ‭Acts 17:10-12 NABRE‬
[10] The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas to Beroea during the night. Upon arrival they went to the synagogue of the Jews. [11] These Jews were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all willingness and examined the scriptures daily to determine whether these things were so. [12] Many of them became believers, as did not a few of the influential Greek women and men.
"To determine wether these things were so"
Catholics probably should believe that scripture is prime. Though they don't say it specifically it does seem they at least believe, like Jesus taught, that scripture cannot be broken. 39:07

There are literally millions of people recorded in scripture who died and there’s no trace of their body. Doesn’t mean that they were assumed to heaven. We have no verifiable relics of Joseph the husband of Mary, so why is there not a dogma of the assumption of Joseph, especially since there are popes and doctors of the church who believed he was?

Thus as a supplement we have our Lord Jesus Christ who according to 1 Timothy 2:5 is the only intercessor between man and God, and in Jesus’ own words in John 14:6 he is the only way that man may approach the Father in Heaven. Thus such ideas of Saintly Intercession are non-Biblical and must be taken with great caution.
----the following texts show no one else but God should be prayed to: Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord, this is my name; I shall not give my glory to another, and my praising to graven images. (I am the Lord, that is my name; I shall not give my glory to another, nor my praises to carved idols.)
---Exodus 34:14 Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God
--Matthew 4:10. Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'”

I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. But he *said to me, “Do not do that. I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of this book. Worship God.”

    ------Luke 4:7-8
Therefore if You worship before me, it shall all be Yours.” Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”

MR TRENT in John 19: 25 NOW THERE STOOD by the cross of Jesus, HIS MOTHER, AND HIS MOTHER'S SISTER, MARY OF CLOPAS and Mary Magdalene. It does not make sense that in one family 2 siblings were named Mary. It has to be Mother Mary's cousin who is the mother of Joseph, James, etc. I believe truly with no doubt on the Catholic teaching that those were the cousins of Jesus. Joseph understood Mary was the NEW TABERNACLE AND THUS will never attempt to touch Mother Mary.
St Joseph probably, just the mere thought of asking Mother Mary for sex, gave St Joseph chills and his body hair standing. The thought that Mother Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit gave St Joseph chills. Mother Mary was full of grace thus we know she had no sexual desires because her thoughts were only to follow God. Her total thought everyday was what will God do next in their lives and was always in awe that God the Father made her the Mother of Jesus Christ.
St Joseph on the other hand had complete fear of God in a good way so everyday his thought was to make a living for His GOD son, Jesus Christ and wife Mary and the thought of that made him simply happy and contented. Mother Mary and St Joseph's daily conversation probably had been, how did we end up as parents of our Lord Jesus Christ, both always in awe of the thought. Praying daily to God the Father was probably 1/3 of their daily life. Mother Mary cooking/ doing home works, St Joseph and our Lord Jesus Christ did carpentry and selling their crafts made their days very busy for Joseph's mind to wander on self indulgence.

Biblical Mary was Not any queen of heaven. Queen of heaven was a pagan goddess despised by God.
Jer 7:18 The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger.
Jer 44:17 But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and saw no trouble.
Jer 44:18 But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have been consumed by the sword and by famine."
Jer 44:19 The women also said, "And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make cakes for her, to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her without our husbands' permission?"
Jer 44:25 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying: 'You and your wives have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled with your hands, saying, "We will surely keep our vows that we have made, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her." You will surely keep your vows and perform your vows!'

Hello. Would it be possible to discuss the apparitions (Archangel Michael and the Blessed Virgin) of Garabandal, between 1961 and 1965? I was not aware of them until I saw a trailer of a movie (Garabandal, Only God Knows - Full Movie / English Subtitles). I've done more research since then and viewed some footage of the four visionaries in ecstatic states. What is the Church's position on this? I don't know what to feel or think about this but I am concerned if the messages (The Warning - The Miracle - The Chastisement) are true. Only one of the four visionaries (Conchita) knows the exact dates and she is now in her 70s. Should we be concerned? I do not know what to make of this and I am scared. This would be a good topic to discuss / debate. Thank you.
