I am a convert from Protestantism, not yet confirmed, but I have been studying Catholicism for a couple years now. Watching y’all’s videos for a while now and you guys are a blessing for our generation. My wife has been diagnosed with cancer and going through surgery’s and chemo since May and I have been praying the rosary and Divine Mercy everyday but recently the last couple weeks I have been praying about the fruits of the Holy Spirit and this video was right on time. God Bless all of you and keep you guys in my prayers.
Prayers for you, your wife, and your family! Do you know when the word to encourage one another. It is a reference to the Holy Spirit, we are to be as one who comes along side of the other. I usually think of two men with one have is arm around the shoulders of his friend.
Cradle catholic here, 16 years of Catholic school and I feel like i am hearing this stuff for the first time. Either i paid absolutely no attention or was poorly catechized. Thank you for these episodes gentlemen! I am learning or - re-learning much!
It's much more important toknow the gospel of God than to know *roman catholicism!* Please learn what the gospel is all about. A true understanding of the gospel starts with this realization - that no amount of good works ( whether aided by "grace" or not ) can gain sufficient MERIT to achieve eternal life - because - once a person has sinned, that person is condemned to hell as a sinner - and the only way to enter God's kingdom is as a completely, totally, absolutely SINLESS being. So where and how can the sinner obtain this complete SINLESSNESS? That GIFT of life only comes when the SINLESSNESS is imputed unto the sinner - there is no way to MERIT it - no way whatsoever. Such sinlessness - much better known as RIGHTEOUSNESS, comes only from Christ and nowhere else. Christ's completely sinless life is required to satisfy God's demand of holiness. Only when we truly trust in the completed work of Jesus on the cross ( Jesus said: It is finished! ) that paid for our sins ( once and for all ) - and surrender any idea of earning sinlessness by any kind of work ( clearly it's impossible if one has already sinned!!! ) - and throws oneself on the mercy of God to save one thru grace - does one obtain that absolute, complete RIGHTEOUSNESS with which to enter God's presence. Nothing else will suffice - no amount of good works - no matter how "aided by grace".
Me too! Although I don’t always understand it, I “feel” something so special while interacting with people in my community, especially my precious students!

HOLY SPIRIT ACTIVATE!” …. and how I laughed so loud at how certain protestant sectors have misunderstood, misconstrued, and misinterpreted The Holy Spirit. I'm thinking about going back to Catholicism BUT I can't not handle the way Protestant are made fun of !! They believe in and love Jesus Christ too. Being Catholic doesn't exalt you above orher Christians from other Churches.!! What I see in some of your episodes and sometimes in the comments looks like pride to me. I'm truly seeking to return but some of the comments that are made and the fashion in which they are made break my heart.

Gifts of the Holy Spirt are gifted through Baptism we are also gifted Godparents. My Godfather was a strength of faith, he Fathered/Educated me in the gifts of the Holy Spirt along with my Father. He was my moral compass of Faith which normally lead me back to a gift of the Holy Spirt meeting the need of direction. Church on Sundays when younger I was next to him he made sure understanding was there (my brother sat with our parents). He was there for me always and whenever direction in Faith or anything was needed. My Godfather was always huge influence in the direction of my life in faith and bring all my needs to the Lord
As I age I find have been turning more towards the Holy Spirit asking for his support and guidance. More than ever I feel I need to find and use the gifts he gives to us.

How come RCIA classes can’t be like this? DVD’s and a book. So much more gained from you all. Cradle Catholic called back and confirmation is sacrament I need. RCIA needs changing desperately, especially with those who left the church, when Wednesday CCD classes were a social event between friends only. They still need desperate help-
It almost makes you wish there were longer sessions or more frequent classes in a week to dive into Catholicism and scripture. There is an entire world of our theology to deep dive into and context is so important. It’s so important and so captivating. We’d certainly be welcoming more ‘on fire’ Catholics into the faith than just pushing people through.. still, I have to hope that everyone registered is learning about their faith at home as well! So many awesome theologians on here + resources. I get that we don’t want to wait at the same time- to be received into the church, it’s just crazy. Our faith is ever mind blowing. Don’t stop growing or learning! Holiness attracts 🫶🏼
I've done a good bit studying from multiple sources on trying to understand the Holy Spirit. Although I understand the Basics of the Holy Spirit and fully believe in the Holy Trinity It seems the more I learn about him the less I understand him lol. I will always strive to more fully understand the Holy Spirit. But have come to the conclusion that it's one of those things we must accept on faith and trust in the Lord. And trust in the fact that When and if the Holy Spirit wants me to understand him at a deeper level he will reveal it to me. Until then I'll just go on faith.
Basically, I’m very happy that you’re talking about the Holy Spirit. I happen to be in church one day when I was 10 the priest was talking about Armageddon, and all the horrible things that would happen they brought up the subject of pregnant. Women would suffer. I said a prayer right there in church and gods house in front of the tabernacle asking God not to let me be here in that time, a voice came to me. I swear to God, the church was quiet. This voice came to me in my ear or in my head. I don’t know where, but I put it to the holy spirit I believe he was talking to me and he told me that I would be here in that time, I was 10. I wasn’t sure about what the Holy Spirit was but I truly believe that he came to me like a tongue of fire in a group in the Laurens house and told me I’d be here in those times at the time I didn’t know what he meant. I’ve asked priest even in confession. I’ve asked Surprise what does he want from me? What does he want me to do, of course I had no answer. They couldn’t read their the mind of the Holy Spirit when he was talking to me how would they know the one priest came out of the confessional asked me to wait, and all he wanted to do was see me I assume I was adult now, and he probably went to see if I was a crazy woman, I wonder what is in their mind they consider this a miracle because I did I’m still looking for an answer and I consider the man name Gordon who came on to one of the shows here and was talking about how God came to him all the confusion he suffered, trying to figure out what was going on because he didn’t have any real religious upbringing. He was a singer in a band, he really didn’t know the Lord and he was battling within himself what all of this meant trying to understand it was so profound, so honest, it brought me to tears. Because I know I experienced something myself when I was just a little girl and it scared me. This man had a he had a miracle. This was a real miracle. He struggled with it And I felt like he did confuse I didn’t really know that much about the religion I was in because I was very young. We really hadn’t gotten to any of that discussion, but I understand his confusion his questions he never had any education about the Catholic Church or about religion in general, and here he was visited And he knew somebody was in the room. He knew and felt him. I felt the same way in church. I knew there was a spirit and it was directed at me. I went through all of the religious upbringing receive the sacraments everything and I truly believe in Jesus and I love him dearly I believe in God, even though I don’t understand him from some of the things he does, but I most certainly believe in the Holy Spirit. He is the messenger. He is the one that guides us and tells us when we have our foot on the wrong path and I’m glad I heard the story from Gordon because he had no real education and he couldn’t understand anything, but the miracle of all of it is when he was walking on the beach trying to clear his mind And his son came home and Drew had drawn a picture during the day of his father have a cloud around him and the father understood this was a messenger from God saying you finally got the message. You finally understand and I’m here to tell you this happened it was amazing. It is a beautiful story, and all his confusion went on for quite some time And hearing the story I could see his confusion trying to understand why all of a sudden the Lord is speaking to him and helping him. I’m glad you’re talking about this this just reaffirmed everything. I heard the understanding I don’t really know what his warning was. I’m not real happy abou 9:54 t it that I’m here at this time when I begged him not to let me be here at this time, it’s pretty
Frightening. But I was in the Lords house when he came to me, sitting in the pew, listening to the priest, being terrified of what I was hearing, but not understanding any of this, but as I grew older, it came to me every once in a while, that the spirit had been talking to me, I knew it from the very beginning I wish it God’s house sitting in front of him. I had to put this voice first I thought it was God speaking to me then I thought it was Jesus maybe it was but in the end, I felt that it was the Holy Spirit Telling me this I consider myself very lucky because I heard that voice it was a miracle I have seen things in the sky. I know what they were when somebody said alien I knew it was an alien ship how I knew I don’t know and the government kept denying it, and now they’re saying it’s true. All the governments are saying it’s true, I saw one ship out in the space flying like he was doing wheelies all over the place he had to be going 1000 miles an hour because he went from one place to another in no time whatsoever somebody talks to you if you hear the voice if it’s talking about God, if it’s talking about things that you have a feeling or real then you’re right it’s him speaking to you he does it. Don’t deny yourself join in except it except that God speaking to you you’re not crazy he does visit people. He does help people when they’re lost and their minds are wondering about what’s going on trust God trust Jesus and it is true I will go to church and I’ll be praying for everybody sitting in the church because I know the things that are happening and going to happen and I pray for all these people to be safe and protected, sometimes I cry in church because I know all of these people may suffer that we all suffer and I don’t get that. I know it’s somebody’s will I know it’s God‘s will, but is it wrong if I try to convince him no don’t kill us all keep our beautiful planet. I know that you can do it. As if he doesn’t know that I understand but of course, he knows he’s the one that gives me this where else could it come from God himself!
I too am not where I want to be in my relationship with the Holy Spirit. I would like to explore the Charismatic movement in the Catholic Church, but honestly I find that , to me, the Charismatic stuff seems weird. The praying in tongues (not what the Apostles did in Pentecost) I find really strange when I see people so that. It just seems like they are making themselves babble and then say they are praying in tongues. Can you guys do an episode on the Charismatic movement in the Church and what it means (or how to) pray in tongues and the other things you see in the Charismatic movement?
Ask and ye shall receive. To know the Holy Spirit you must become filled with Spirit. Be of open mind and heart..don’t over think concepts. Intelligence and not intellect is needed here. Be ye as small children.

Why can't I find a catholic channel speaking about the gifts of the Spirit found in 1 Corinthians? Do Catholics belief God bestows these gifts for every believer to practice today, or not? 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
In short, no, we do not believe every person gets all the charismatic gifts listed in 1 Corinthians. Even the verse itself clearly states that not everyone gets this gifts. We talk about that at the 12:30 mark.

Frightening. But I was in the Lords house when he came to me, sitting in the pew, listening to the priest, being terrified of what I was hearing, but not understanding any of this, but as I grew older, it came to me every once in a while, that the spirit had been talking to me, I knew it from the very beginning I wish it God’s house sitting in front of him. I had to put this voice first I thought it was God speaking to me then I thought it was Jesus maybe it was but in the end, I felt that it was the Holy Spirit Telling me this I consider myself very lucky because I heard that voice it was a miracle I have seen things in the sky. I know what they were when somebody said alien I knew it was an alien ship how I knew I don’t know and the government kept denying it, and now they’re saying it’s true. All the governments are saying it’s true, I saw one ship out in the space flying like he was doing wheelies all over the place he had to be going 1000 miles an hour because he went from one place to another in no time whatsoever somebody talks to you if you hear the voice if it’s talking about God, if it’s talking about things that you have a feeling or real then you’re right it’s him speaking to you he does it. Don’t deny yourself join in except it except that God speaking to you you’re not crazy he does visit people. He does help people when they’re lost and their minds are wondering about what’s going on trust God trust Jesus and it is true I will go to church and I’ll be praying for everybody sitting in the church because I know the things that are happening and going to happen and I pray for all these people to be safe and protected, sometimes I cry in church because I know all of these people may suffer that we all suffer and I don’t get that. I know it’s somebody’s will I know it’s God‘s will, but is it wrong if I try to convince him no don’t kill us all keep our beautiful planet. I know that you can do it. As if he doesn’t know that I understand but of course, he knows he’s the one that gives me this where else could it come from God himself!

I too am not where I want to be in my relationship with the Holy Spirit. I would like to explore the Charismatic movement in the Catholic Church, but honestly I find that , to me, the Charismatic stuff seems weird. The praying in tongues (not what the Apostles did in Pentecost) I find really strange when I see people so that. It just seems like they are making themselves babble and then say they are praying in tongues.
Can you guys do an episode on the Charismatic movement in the Church and what it means (or how to) pray in tongues and the other things you see in the Charismatic movement?

Why can't I find a catholic channel speaking about the gifts of the Spirit found in 1 Corinthians? Do Catholics belief God bestows these gifts for every believer to practice today, or not?
1 Corinthians 12:8-11
8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
In short, no, we do not believe every person gets all the charismatic gifts listed in 1 Corinthians. Even the verse itself clearly states that not everyone gets this gifts. We talk about that at the 12:30 mark.

A true understanding of the gospel starts with this realization - that no amount of good works ( whether aided by "grace" or not ) can gain sufficient *MERIT* to achieve eternal life - because - once a person has sinned, that person is condemned to hell as a sinner - and the only way to enter God's kingdom is as a completely, totally, absolutely *SINLESS* being. So where and how can the sinner obtain this complete *SINLESSNESS?* That GIFT of life only comes when the *SINLESSNESS* is imputed unto the sinner - there is no way to *MERIT* it - no way whatsoever.
Such sinlessness - much better known as *RIGHTEOUSNESS,* comes only from Christ and nowhere else. Christ's completely sinless life is required to satisfy God's demand of holiness.
Only when we truly trust in the *completed* work of Jesus on the cross ( Jesus said: *It is finished!* ) that paid for our sins ( once and for all ) - and surrender any idea of earning sinlessness by any kind of work ( clearly it's impossible if one has already sinned!!! ) - and throws oneself on the mercy of God to save one thru grace - does one obtain that absolute, complete *RIGHTEOUSNESS* with which to enter God's presence. Nothing else will suffice - no amount of good works - no matter how "aided by grace".
And the devil is like the Grinch who tries to steal those gifts😢
