- Here's a speedrun of Portal Reloaded! This is a new mod that came out April 19 of this year, and incorporates a THIRD portal in addition to the main two. This third portal allows for time travel to the same test chamber 20 years in the future, which leads to all sorts of interesting and incredibly difficult puzzles - twenty five of them, to be exact.

It's amazing how very little time this mod has been out and speedrunners already have the game down to just under 15 minutes
Whoooosh! Someone like me who often really needs to line up where she shoots her portals is deeply impressed by your speedy shooting. And your ability to somehow fly with the help of excursion funnels. XD

I’d like to say I beat portal reloaded myself but I literally watched a tutorial for every other chamber and even then I struggled lmao
It took me 10 hours, but I somehow did it without tutorial.
It took me hours over a few days but I did it without tutorials, the last level was very creative, but the level with turrets was the hardest

Its a known glitch, with a really funny name if I recall, but its current applications are limited

He does a technique called bunny hopping, which is VERY hard to do. On the railings he combines bunny hopping with another technique called wall strafing. You can look into those techniques if you want to understand how he does it and how they give the player speed.

On what version of the game you run? Finale looks completely different on my
speedruns are currently done on the release version of the game, which thankfully is available through the betas tab on steam.
We also currently use a beta version of SAR to support this version (its a weird version, long story short), but the release version of SAR should be coming out *relatively* soon, and the beta is public anyways

How to run the very first version of portal reloaded? I forgot to turn automatic updates off, so now I cant do some skips
I believe you can select "release version" under the betas section in the properties for the game in Steam, and then grab the latest SAR (required for this), and you should have the original maps again.
@@aciidz If I understand correctly, SAR is a programme to make demos of your run?
@@SireX2106 Yeah, I should have clarified that it's only necessary if you're gonna run this game, SAR is for automatic demo recording and accurate timing of the run, here's a guide that explains the speedrun setup for Reloaded: ruclips.net/video/I5O28ltq7yk/видео.html with the exception that you need SAR 1.12.3-pre1 at minimum which supports this "beta" of the game, which uses updated binaries but original maps. If anything I said was confusing or irrelevant or whatever, just ask in the Portal 2 SR discord, assuming you were interested in that in the first place.

You have to use a prerelease version of sar, the current latest release version doesn't work with the latest reloaded update

How do you do those floatings (chamber 24)?
crouch for 5 seconds or more without jumping into the funnel allows you to fly you also do it while standing up if u uncrouch and you are not on a ceiling but on a wall

@@CantEven How do you not fly up anymore at 13:27 and then you do a jump just before you grab the cube even tho you didn´t press space?
@@mixxo811 If you are flying upwards slowly enough (less speed than you get from jumping, but more than I have in the video), you can snap to a floor if you are holding the direction towards the floor. This is how I stop flying upwards, because I am above the floor and a certain amount of units above it, I am automatically snapped down to it (this is a very small number of units so it never creates any negative effects). I also jumped with mousewheel, not space
@@CantEven I know I´m asking a lot of questions but you always replied super fast and helpful. I´m very confused about how you can get so much speed at 15:10 when jumping through the blue portal to land on the surface behind the 3 lasers.

That jump in the last chamber is a whole tile smaller in your video than my game. Is there something wrong?
Speedruns are currently done on the release version of the game, rather than the most current version. In the current version, chamber 25 has been fixed so that the jump is no longer as easy (you need to do a cubejump in the latest version).
To get the release version, right click on Portal Reloaded in Steam, then click Properties, then Betas, then opt into "release - release version".

you could easily get wr on reloaded, since let's face it.. you are better than MSushi. You just need to use the "new" tactics.
