The loading sequences in TAS runs are always the funniest part to me. How he coded the bot to break the mug and successfully rebound all 3 pieces AND the clipboard into the toilet bowl, then flip the radio 3 times and have it land on its base every time. Amazing.

@@chrisumb The showing off part is my favorite part of TAS runs, watching everything in slow motion to try and figure out wtf happened is my second favorite thing.

The last core incineration (12:51) was so clean, it genuinely looked like a powerful slam dunk, picked up in the air and straight to the ring.

I was going to say "this looks pretty normal for a TAS run," but then it picked up the first portal gun and instantly entered the elevator.
I have absolutely no idea what just happened but it was FUCKING AWESOME

That radio + camera trick at 9:42 was above god-tier, wow this tas is amazing
Our absolutely favourite bit of the video was setting up a beat in chamber 16 (7:52), and following it throughout. That was _so_ pleasing

I don't understand how he gains the speed on the final portal shot to the elevator, though. Like he just suddenly starts going zoom mode as if he's been falling, but he was just standing in the portal. And he goes upwards to the platform. ????
Okay a little further it looks like the platform raising gave him the boost of speed. Completely insane routing. Amazing.
@@reptarien and I'm 99% sure he used a reportal it's when you shoot a portal while you're already in one so the game pushes you out and he uses that for the speed
Today I Learned all the elevator rides in Portal 1 take 12 minutes and 48 seconds combined
the 280 hours in 2 weeks was all worth it; incredible tas especially escapes

I love the fluidity of the escape, and the slam dunk of the aggression sphere into the incinerator in the end. Amazing work. Now if only a human could train long enough to do this in real time!
It's weird seeing a TAS that's this close to playing the game _normally._
I think my favorite parts of this run are the chances for you to just show off random things a TAS can do while you're stuck waiting for a door to open or dialogue to finish

This was so smooth though, I loved it

Yeah but even with that RUclips compresses the video to 60fps, therefore getting rid of some details

7:25 hitting the orb with vital testing apertures is one of the coolest things i’ve ever seen
The thing that surprises me more than what it did, is that someone was able to understand what it was doing that speed
the music at the beginning caught me of guard i did not expect the new version to blast uncomfortably through my headphones, to inject itself into my skin and course through my veins, giving me an unsettlingly beautifully eerily soothing experience that i did not intend to feel while watching a 12 minute long portal speedrun. thanks
also the bot performing a talent show at the start was entertaining

3:16 i saw chamber 4 in the 13.30 TAS, i doubted it was the fastest strat and looked for a faster one. happy to see this strat and that my guess was correct
