@@E12345E Yes and he spends 2 seconds in each of the first two nether portals he makes, teleporting between them so he can get the wool and the glass block while waiting to get into the nether. Taking advantage of the fact that a nether portal only checks that you have been in A nether portal for the last 4 seconds, not whether you have been in THAT nether portal for the last 4 seconds. So the first nether portal he makes is only used to start that timer, he doesn’t even go through it lol.

13:06 note 7.5? normally, you can't open your inventory or use a crafting table or other object with a HUD while in the nether portal, but for some reason, the HUD from an object (not the inventory key) will show up for exactly 1 tick. luckily, inventories are no longer tied to the tickrate (since 1.14), so dylan can do all of this in that one tick.
note 7.5.5(?): because the 4 second portal entering animation resets when reloading a world, duping in a nether portal doesn't save any time.

But the time saved per eye is 1/20th of a second, unless they find a 4 or more eye portal, that would mean 1 less duplication (I think, maybe they need to multiply another thing)

It's almost as if this was the run to end them all. The completely perfect and unbeatable record. I can just picture people spending countless hours trying to get this perfect run, and now someone finally does. But the final ender pearl throw almost signifies the end of an era which is minecraft speedrunning which gives me this bittersweet feeling. It's done. the ultimate run, achieved. Here are the notes, you are welcome.
    Note 1 (5:30 to 6:50):
    a. The odds listed throughout this section are mostly ballpark estimates and shouldn't be taken as absolutely exact numbers. The ruined portal chest can also contain a fire charge instead of a flint and steel since it can serve the same purpose. The odds for the chest loot are on the order of 1 in 100 because of the Silk touch enchantment, which has odds of roughly 1 in 7 of appearing.
    b. About Blaze spawns: a blaze can spawn randomly anywhere in a Nether fortress, but it cannot spawn within 20 blocks of the player, so a spawner even closer than that is optimal. Although the spawner is 7 tiles away horizontally, it's about 10 tiles below as well, but it's still faster than a random spawn 20 tiles off.
    c. (also referenced at 17:50) About The End: the conditions in were actually sub-optimal. There's a wall in the way, so it takes a bit of additional maneuvering to reach the final portal to beat the game. While there will always be at least one pillar in the direct path towards the portal, it's not impossible that there could be an even more optimal seed with had a more direct path to the end that wouldn't require multiple enter pearl throws.

Note 2 (6:50): Due to the way world generation is done, the script could look at supergroups of 65,536 seeds called structure seeds. This reduced the total amount of possibilities from 2^64, or 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 down to 2^48, or 281,474,976,710,656. The only variable factors between different seeds within one structure seed is the biome distribution and the spawn location. Once the script found a good structure seed, it was only a matter of finding the right biome distribution and spawn location within that group.
Note 3 (9:35): At least, it's no longer that dumb. For many years, the duplication glitch worked with Alt+F4.
Note 4 (10:05): While he started with two pearls, he only duped them 4 times - the final dupe was only for obsidian and wood. Also, he throws a pearl when he has 16 (8 in inventory, 8 in chest), so he ends up with 30.
Note 5 (12:09): In earlier versions, villages had windows made of glass blocks, and in later versions, glass was added deep underground.
Note 6 (13:00): The direction blocks are sent in in the explosion is random, so despite having a tool to mitigate this randomness, Dylan had to spend many rerecords on this section until the wool behaved exactly the way he wanted.
Note 7 (13:12): He actually only needs one more crafting table, not two. Making a second one didn't cost any extra time because he needs to wait in the portal for 4 seconds anyway
Note 8 (13:49): Technically, the game sets your spawn point on the bed, and when respawning you, it will place you next to the bed if it's unobstructed.
Note 9 (15:49): In the context of the TAS, the section with the Blaze took multiple tries to get right, and the Ghast was forced to spawn. RNG manipulation doesn't work in Minecraft the way it works in a typical console TAS, so Minecraft TASers sometimes resort to other means to force perfect luck.

    • @nuzzlevee
      @nuzzlevee 10 месяцев назад +4

@@blajjkothat isn't how it is, its the chance to spawn near a woodland mansion with the specific rooms needed with a nether fortress with a blaze spawner within active distance of the portal. (Then obviously with the added end fortress position and end spawn too) The number is based on the amount of seeds the script had to generate this specific scenario on average, not the chance for a single of these things to happen. He never said that *one* of these things are that rare, its the fact that you're getting many rare things to happen in a singular world, which narrows down the chances a lot. So no, its not that a near spawn nether fortress is that rare, its that a fortress near spawn in a world where you spawn at a woodland mansion with the right rooms immediately accessible and ruined portal. Since the odds are all linked, the chances drop drastically per stipulation you add :) hope you have a nice day and that this cleared it up a bit for you!

@@nuzzlevee yeah i knew that but from what the probability is before and after he revealed the nether fortress spawn, we can see its 100 (too lazy to check but i think its 100) so basocally its a 1 in 100 chance to enter an unused nether portal and spawn near a fortress, which i dont really bevieve is true.
