If only the prices were still like this 😂
Foxbody... the poor mans fast car!!! Take 5k have a killer street car and a formidable track car!!
@YeeeHAW depends where you're at and who it's from. I just passed up buying a clean lx fox with a 302 punched to 331 for 4500 bucks. That was within the past month. They're out there, you just need to find an honest person selling one lmfao,, if those are real anymore?? If you own one or owned one you know what they're really worth,, and its not much.
This comment didn’t age well.
@@_Livid_ kinda like some of these old foxbodies.....
@@rexracer7192 Hey, selling rollers for 6k is a market I’ll sell in all day long to these fools. Haha. All I’m saying is, these aren’t “poor mans” cars anymore. Market is crazy.
@@_Livid_ a Foxbody can be a number of different cars, the mustang fox prices may be outta hand now, but you can still find cheap Foxbody cars. You can still find cougars, t birds for almost nothing, also the Fairmont "my favorite fox sleeper", and the zephyr, and even mustang2s are still cheap, there's still cheap options for the old fox platform lovers.
I just bought myself a 93 hatchback 4 cyl for $1,000 and a 90 hatchback gt (no engine) parts car for $300. This is my first build at 22 years old, this is going to get exciting
howd it go
we need an update
I just picked up a 1990 that has sat untouched since 2014. I just spent some time doing some paint correction now it's time to start Conquering the interior that I'll move on to the motor
A lot has changed in 3.5 years! Everything went up!
Just bought an '84 GT 350 4 speed, carbureted convertible. Not a speck of rust.
Gonna gut it. Cam it. Got the correct twin-snorkel headers. Took out the rear seat. Taking out all the power windows, too. Sound deader? History.
Gotta love living in CA, these cars are everywhere..
I’m looking at a super clean GT for 12K now. Big money but I can’t believe how clean this car is
I’d love to get that 92 notch 😍
The gray notch looks like 1 i use to own
paid $600 to save my 89 gt 5spd from the pnp finished up the engine swap just needed harness run had it running the day I picked it up. then i found a complete parts car 91 gt 5pd for $2500 with all the performance parts I was going to buy 10to1 306 balanced blue printed every bolt arp had tremec 3550 trans with 3.73 out back swapped it all to my 89 gt. then I spent $$ at lmr k-member coilovers then rear arms got every weld in reinforcement I could find I even seam welded everything so far I have right around $6k into this project still not were I want it yet
That 4 eyed Notch!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
It’s a good video thank you
I would day top things to look at are.
1.cowl
2.tq box
3.strutower
4.floors.
Door rust hatch rust fender rust who cares all replacement parts.
The cowl door support is always over looked and people go to pull the fender and find out its toast.
Than you In trouble.
Has your team done a big block fox swap (460)? If so do you have any tips? My main question is the wiring. Not sure what all is involved going from FE to carb. Any tips/videos would be great. Thanks!
I need those interior rear quarter panels out of that convertible GT desperately.. I can’t find them anywhere..
Make sure is a 40E Notch, unless 4 banger is your thing. I know many ppl got rip off cause of wrong vin.
Excellent condition foxbody mustangs go from 4,000 to 10,000 here in Georgia
Crazy a rusted-out basket case will run you nearly fifteen Grand here
What’s considered to many miles on a stock fox
What’s the most you would pay for a notch or foxbody and what’s a average price for one that’s in decent condition
I'm getting one
I know it's not in line with the topic. I have a 85 gt hatchback. Looking to do 5 lug conversion with rear disc. What would be my best option? Thanks
Watching this in 2024 hearing $600 for a roller makes me want to cry…rollers are $3-4000 now
Uh do you have a 91 coupe roller? I have a friend that wants one for a drag build and I'm not selling mine.
I got one like the black hatch with the sunroof probably worse condition. So I shouldn't consider building it, and find a new car?
Id give 2200 for the red coupe still on the hunt for one!
I know of 5 different fox body in my area. If I just had the cash. 1 notch 4 hatch.
Snatch em up!
I have questions I found a 91 mustang gt convertible the guy wants 1500 all it needs is a fuel pump and I new top and interior cleaned should think I buy it
I’d love to find an old little coupe automatic in running condition and no rust for $1,500. Up north here, just not seeing them.
There was a time when there was a guy with random assortment of parts car 69 Camaros, tri-five Chevys, Chevelles, or 1967 Mustangs.
👍👍👍👍👍... So true..
are you selling any of these?
I paid 2800 for my running 4 cylinder 86 notch. It's all about the condition. But one thing I would mention is if you want a project car start with a 4 banger. Those bodies are not destroyed.
Excellent point, and avoid rust!
@@FoxcastMedia strut towers lol
What about eBay for parts?
Im in nova scotia, ill be looking to buy a 88-92 fox in September, my budget is $20,000
I like the 4 eyed beauty you have there. I'm trying to find a 86 t-top, i had one when I was younger. It'll be a project for my son's and I. I find them either too far gone or they want a ton of money for them.
Agreed, that is one of my bucket list stangs right there
I have one
Hope u found 1 or at least r still looking. If u do, check out House of Dula channel. He's from the Dalles, Tx. area and has frequent updates on his 86' T top.
If you are looking to buy a fox mustang that was originally a v8 car from the factory, what are some things to look for to make sure you"re not buying a factory 4 cylinder car that someone v8 swapped?
Dave Covert VIN number will tell it all. 8th digit is the engine descriptor. Go here for more info, should be the same for all 87-93 Fox cars less the D engine code for the ‘93 Cobra

I’ve been into my build for 3 years now it’s a 88 gt vert and pretty much bought everything new so yeah money’s tight. The only thing I have left to finish is installing the convertible top. I’ve shopped around for installers and the price range has been so far off each other I’m wondering if I’m paying to much or too little for a crap job. Quotes have been from $500 to $1500 me providing the new top. 😒
djpito powerhousepro I got a new top installed everything for 400 over here in LA on my 91 LX
are all these vehicles yours? would you consider selling any
I'm in the market for a fox body and I am currently going back and forth with a guy who has a very clean 84 hatchback. Spent most of its life in a garage (since 1990). 135,000 miles, frame is tied, 6 point roll cage, no rust. 302 rebuilt with 5,000 miles on it. Weld racing rims (which I would end up replacing the rears in favor of a mini-tub). He wants $5,900 for it. I feel like that is a pretty good deal but the problem is that everything is stock and I want to do a 351W swap. So my plan is to install a whole new engine, transmission, and drive-train to withstand 700hp. Will I be wasting money since I'm going to redo the whole drive-train/engine or is it worth the $5900 just to get a very clean chassis/body/car in general?? any thoughts?
I bet he'll take an even five for it of you show him five k cash I'm sure it'll be yours.
Don't pass on a Fox just because rust!!! Save it!!!! I traded a 98 civic for a 90 GT Hatch, holes all in the floorboard and the hatch, but its all fix-able man. I got into the Fox world for the trade of a rusty civic. Dont Ever pass on a rust stricken Fox unless you cant weld, usually you can get the rusty car for pennies on the dollar.
Rare red steering wheel 🤗
How do man. This is Ted from Texas. Just watching a few more educational pieces of material to learn more about the old fox bodies. I had just purchased a 1984 GT350. T-tops, white with a red interior. Four barrel 5 speed. It's in working condition, but needs some love from the repair shop. Hope to put it on the road tomorrow. Hope to get it back from the repair shop one day next week.
How do you feel about dropping a crate engine in a fox? Or would you get a crown vic motor or getting another motor out of a fox?
@CalypsoNotch408 Piss off
I just got a 86 notchback. It’s a 4cyl automatic. My buddy has 351w he’ll sell me. Any pointers?
Upgrade the rear end, and perhaps the transmission. Bigger brakes would probably be a good idea
Hey! I'm 14 and I am really wanting to get my hands on a Foxbody for my first car, my dad's been a mechanic all his life, so I'm hoping to build it up also. Any suggestions on how to get one, what to do to it, etc.?
Look on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace
Good resource @ FOXCAST. Devin, try and get a stock motor.
Chech out "Late Model Restorations" it's a company I believe in Texas. All they sell is foxbody parts and there's many teaching videos on how to replace parts, swaps etc. etc.. U can learn a lot by these guys, I did.
I need a 302
Dime a dozen, are you looking??
Anyone in Texas hit me up iv got a clean 83,000 mile 5speed 2.3 runs drives great no rust at all just primed
Matthiew Taylor I’m interested, you still have it?
Rust in Peace
Got an extra one laying around I can ship up to PA? I NEED a straight body notch 5 speed pretty bad. Come on. It'll be your good deed for the day. Tax write off!! 😉
We are holding onto most of these for parts and future builds
@@FoxcastMedia haha. Gotcha buddy. I was just messing around.
is anyone else sad these cars can be reduced to this state? My fox is my prized possession.
My 93 blk/blk lx 5.0 5speed is worth a million bucks and i could care less what anyone says... 😂
I'm in the holy grail of cheap cars then lol I paid $150 for my running and driving 79 capri rs, got a no title 84 gr convertible minus motor and trans for free, paid $500 for my 86 gt convertible and drove it home not a thing wrong with it other than that window was busted out, and paid $75 for my 1980 cobra turbo 2.3 car and it was the roughest of the three and it was mainly drivers floor board, and door was rusty cuz drivers wiindor was broken out
I paid 2500 for mine 4cycl. 1990.
If you're a really good mechanic, I would hope this is common sense.
