Dude, everything you said about how it feels in the hand; personal and what not-exactly how it felt when I handled my X MACRO for the first time, and still do!! It’s my favorite carry gun
The category you are looking for is “do it all gun” many people can only have one gun and need it to play multiple roles; carry, home defense, duty, etc… this gun fits nicely into the “do it all” role.
@@tonyrogo227 really dude. The macro is really $250 more and comes with day night sights, plate for an optic, it’s comped, full grip AND a higher capacity.
@@tonyrogo227 it has a shorter barrel, more capacity, comp, optics ready, and it’s a bit thinner. I wouldn’t call that a rip off. Sure the Glock 19 is a great do it all gun but this can be too it some ways it better. Glock really is starting to fall behind some of the new industry standards.
I had a P365XL. The P365 X Macro does have a larger grip in the circumference which was immediately noticeable when I felt it for the first time. I had my gun shop guy break out the XL to confirm and compare side by side. I bought the Macro and it just works better for me.
I've got the XL too, but I personally love it. After 10-15 years of carry a g23/19, it is just crazy how easy it is to carry and conceal. I wear relatively small T-shirts, and sometime relatively tight long sleeve shirts as well, so I always felt like I was printing, or worse, that the gun was exposed(especially in the grocery store or something when I had to reach up to grab something.) My only beef with the XL is that not only can I not switch out the rear sight to my preferred irons, but if I choose to mount a red dot on it(which I've been considering), I lose my rear sight altogether(with the exception of those tiny, super shallow cutouts they put on some reflex sights like the Sig.) This gun does seem cool though. Kind of like what the glock 48 should/could have been. However, is there a non-compensated version? I've personally never liked really short barrels on carry guns, which is part of the reason I went with the XL(3.7in) vs. the original p365(3.1in.)
@@Mockturtlesoup1 I just picked up the new XL Tacpac. This model has the optic cut in front of the rear sight, so the rear sight is not removed to mount an optic. I believe it’s a standard Shield RMRc cut. The weird thing is, the slide has only an X on it, and not the XL of previous versions. Still has the 3.7” barrel, non-compensated slide.
Bought my first pistol 4 months ago - Taurus TX22 cuz Im 71 and wanted to start slow and easy. Two weeks ago I graduated to a 9mm and bought the Sig P365 XMacro and having so much fun shooting it! I can shoot this pistol all day long. Not sure if I will ever get to the CC level - but if not I’m going to enjoy this pistol for a long time to come
Find a GOOD trading facility and take a pistol class. You’ll have a ton of fun and build your skills and confidence. It’s pricey, But money way better spent than another gun.
I like high capacity pistols!!! With a civilian there is no back up you got what you got. And carrin a second mag is a big pain. Been caring for over 40/50 years and have never had a need to pull it, I have had to defend myself on the street but 50 years of tournament fighting and black belt training has allowed me to leave my gun holstered.
You can use the 17rd mag in the P365 X if you want to run a smaller frame. I bought the Macro because it fit very well in my hand. I have large hands and there aren't many small frames I like.
I bought one a few days before this video dropped. The P365x macro is now one of my favorite carry guns due to its compact size and 17 round capacity not to mention it shoots as smooth as the full size P320. I highly recommend this weapon to anyone looking to add to their edc rotation
I think the reason not everyone is talking about it is because it’s 800 bucks, they priced them self out of the normal $500-$600 range guns. I’ll still get it but the average gun owner might skip it and get a something like a 509 tactical for the price because at least it seems like you’re getting more for your buck.
Pretty much is the hold up for me. I have a Performance Center 9mm EZ and would love to have an 17+1 concealed, but for $800 I'll just buy more ammo for my PC instead.
And Sig magazines are $50 before shipping and tax! What a joke. Get a Glock 26 which is smaller with the 10-round flush magazines for ultra concealment, but has the ability to “grow” larger with higher capacity Glock mags. 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 24 and 33 rounders. Use an X-grip spacer if needed. And Glock mags are found literally EVERYWHERE and are half the price of Sig magazines.
Iv always either carried a 1911 or 2011 or glock but after handling the macro it's my new edc, idk how to describe it except it fit my hands perfectly, I can't put it any other way, better than the 365xl did as well. Never really thought I'd like a compact but this one proved me wrong and shooting is just a absolute enjoyment.
“Personal”… exactly why I REALLY like my 365xl… it’s just so easy to carry a gun that feels like it belongs on you at all times. I have an extended mag, but actually prefer the 12 rounders. Very interested in this gun, too. 17 rounds is rad.
@@That-Will-Do-It I'm believe this is the reason why the macro isn't getting the traction it is. It's like the xl with a different grip module kinda. Along with that comp which I dont care for cuz I use a threaded barrel. I do wish the xl had a better trigger tho.
@@ctrip34 … yeah… I keep hearing folks that don’t like the trigger. Idk… it is perfectly adequate for non-competition, EDC… imho. I fell in love with it when I bought it for my wife… she’s a lefty, and she wanted a more ambidextrous pistol. That is the only issue I’ve had with it… but that issue led to it becoming MY edc.
@@christiancarter9939 I got the tac pac so came with a 12 round mag and two 15 round mags and sig holster. The xl fits my hands perfectly. I actually like the 12 round flush mag more for carrying.
Just bought a P365 X-Macro and the gun fits my hand perfectly, the range let me fire off 50 rounds and this thing is so accurate, this is pleasure to use
This is perfect size for ccw, comfortable and get all the rounds, also because it's smooth soft flat and fast makes it a fun shooter at the range. The comp windows help keep the pressure down on the muzzle so it doesn't flip up as much and stays on target better, flatter.
What I've noticed with the X Macro is that it still feels "snappy", but it returns to zero very quickly. This allows for rapid strings of fire. I took my p365xl and my p320 out, and they definitely feel slower to return to zero. I have to physically pull the gun back down with the p320 and the p365XL. With the XMacro, it's doing half the work for you.
Great review. I picked one up about 6 months ago. Changed the trigger and added a green dot. Absolutely love it. Perfect off duty weapon. New subscriber here!
I've been carrying the original p365 with 12 round magazine for 3 years. With the 12 rd magazine I get a perfect full grip and my backup is 15 rd magazine although the 17 rds is great for those who want it I like the carrying weight of the 12 for comfort purposes it works for me
Took the words out of my mouth. I love my p365 with the 12 round mag. I carry it every single day and I have no desire to buy anything else. It’s pretty much perfect for me. 12 rounds for something that just disappears in my waistband? Can’t beat it.
Same here. I am a shorter person so the original is a perfect ccw for me. And the fact that it holds that many rounds for something so tiny and is so accurate is pretty amazing.
I bought the original 365 compact and have just recently purchased the new macro. Switching it to be my carry gun ASAP. Great weapon. Sig has perfected the original with this weapon.
So I’m a first time gun buyer as of last Sunday I bought this as my first handgun, based on Sig’s repetition, it felt great in my hand no issues with pinky finger slipping off, and 17 rounds🤯 like Damnnnn told the guy I’ll take it. Busy with work haven’t had time for the range, Just watched this video now and it confirms I made the right choice 🤙🏽🔥🔥🔥 keep it up Colion
I have the XL and the Macro as well as the original 365. The ability to switch the grip modules around for what I need on a particular day is awesome. Love them all. You are correct. SIG is just showing off now. Great video sir and keep fighting for our 2A rights
They launched this 2 weeks after I got my XL. I was pissed! Everyone at my shop shot the Macro and hated it....because it's better than all our current carry guns 😂 Personally I do notice the comp working I wouldn't say its the same as a custom tuned race gun comp, but I feel it helps balance the recoil.
I have an SAS with the ported barrel and it feels the same as an original 365. I like this one, but I carry an XL Zero with an HB comp on it. If it's not drastically different, I don't see a need to get ANOTHER 365 just for two more rounds.
It shoot amazing but I must say the XL barrel is more accurate i run it with a icarus and I was more accurate at a distance with my XL but at 10 yard and in I could rapid fire it quick with the comp and very accurate close but I think the comp and whatever it does to the round on its way out makes it a little squirly for a distance shot I prefer the XL barrel and slide to the comp style stuff
I have a couple XLs. But when I went to see this new 365 I noticed the difference between a real screw on to the barrel compensator so I waited a little bit My son bought this macro. And I had just finished building a 365 with a threaded barrel a compensator on the XL module there was a substantial difference utilizing my compensator. My compensator hold diameter is almost the size of the caliber allowing most of the pressure to be released at the time of the passage of the projectile through the serrations on the top. Comparing it to my son's which the hole is much larger than the caliber. On his gun The compensator did not work
I carry a 365 sas every day because of it's round capacity pocket size and dependability Sig makes some of the best concealed carry guns and now with this new 365 X Macro I will be working overtime to obtain one Colin Noir your video reviews are truly the best
No it doesn't. Comps and brakes need back pressure to work, the Macro just has a standard length P365 barrel, with the longer slide length with a few cuts on top. The excess gas behind the bullet as it exits the crown are taking the path of least resistance AROUND the tail of the bullet and the open space where the barrel ends, a marginal amount is venting up, NOT enough to make any significant difference. You THINK it's helping, because the longer grip gives you more mechanical leverage, that's it. Personally this pistol would interest me more with either the standard P365 slide/ barrel and the new grip module, or the proper barrel length to fit the slide they put on it, minus those stupid ports.
@@d3ltaohniner261 sorry. you’re incorrect. I have both set ups and I have Wilson combat XL grips on both. The slide cuts absolutely cut down muzzle flip. I sold the Macro grip for $100 bucks because it’s too big to conceal easily and I happen to love the WC XL grips.
There are a lot of videos on YT comparing the XL and X Macro slides on the same grip for the sake of science, and the consensus seems to be that the comp does make a difference. Is it enough of a difference? That's for you to decide, but to say there's no difference is inaccurate.
@@drewdrewski4188 yep. I had been looking at the XL Spectre comp slide for a while in the Sig store and was about to buy it when this dropped. Fortunately I waited. It’s a much better value doing it as I did. That slide alone is $500. I got an entire gun for $300 more.
Can see getting this gun, modified my P365 to a P365x with the Wilson Combat Grip Module. Then converted my 12 round mags to 14 round mags with Magguts. What I have now is a P365x+ Wilson combat Sig 14+1 CCW. Love it, fits my Big mitts well. This new one looks very cool, maybe cool enough to trade up!
As an older gal who picked up her first gun in 2020, it's been an interesting learning curve!I stupidity listened to bad advice & started with a Shield EZ 9mm (I despised it;) immediately went to a Glock 43X (for the 15 round Shield Arms magazines) which is NOT fun for me to shoot, and then I met my darling P365XL that I lovingly carry every day. I can't buy this awesome new gun in my state due to the ridiculous 10 round magazine rule my hideous Governor slapped on us ! I can only be envious , but grateful that I bought 6 extra 15 round magazines while I still could! (Before the unfortunate boating accident where I lost all my 30 round AR-15 magazines too!)😉
The gun community really gives credence to the B.O.A.T. acronym "Bust out another thousand" with all the lost firearms in boating accidents...theres atleast a degree of truth in all stereotypes, with of course exceptions to every rule, but firearm and boat lovers seam to go hand in hand...and its really costing us alot of money.
@@jordanlee4477 It's the grip safety! They sell this gun to people with potential hand strength issues.. It's super easy to cock, & the magazine is easy to load. But then you have to grip it just right, very tightly, and it can be hard to actually fire the gun! And it digs into my hand in a very painful way, that actually hurts for days after I shoot it! It was my first gun, bought on a recommendation from my instructor. This was when we were in the scamdemic, & guns were hard to find. I hated it immediately, but then it was too late! I definitely suggest a long range trial with a grip safety before anyone actually buys one (especially if you do have hand strength issues). Hope that helps! 💙
Excellent video! I went through an evolution with the P365 series before settling on what I now consider to be the perfect EDC firearm. Starting with an early model OG P365-that thing jammed often and failed to return to battery one too many times. So I sold it back to the gun store and picked up the XL. While I did like it much better than its little brother, I could not get a naturally comfortable grip-had to finagle it too much, which made grabbing it not very automatic. That, in addition to the pathetic RomeoZero that was very difficult to zero, I sold it back to the gun store and picked up the XMacro Comp. After changing out the back strap, it is absolutely perfect! Even better, now mated with a Holosun HE507K-GR X2, oh my goodness!! But I also still adore my Sig P320 XCompact! And my Sig M400 Elite 5.56!! Yeah, I’m a Sig boy!!
I always loved Sig pistols. They are the Porche of pistols. They shoot smooth and they feel smooth. I wish I could shoot that new pistol. I shot the old 226 full frame, full size pistol. And that was nice in my hands. I could only imagine how sweet this new pistol feels.
My uncle just got his pistol license in nyc and is looking at what gun to get and I told him the p365 is the best and I’m excited to see this new version.
I’m a HUGE Sig fan. Worked sales and range management for years. I’m also a woman. But I really really didn’t like the 365 (my hubby has one as his EDC) or the XL. My EDC is weird (HK P2000 357sig) and I have the Glock 48 and 43X I do carry. I’m going to check this one out though!
I appreciate the constant reminders that you have no idea what you’re talking about Collins. Makes your videos more relatable. Thank you for not being a know it all.
I use my p320 as a Carty weapon and I LOVE it. Been a massive sig fan since I bought it. Nice to see this review thank you sir for doing this review. That does seem like a lot of rounds in a pretty small package.
The macro is a fuller grip. The 17 round mag has spacers to adapt it to other 365 models. Other sig or after market mag baseplates will not fit on the macro 17 rd mag. And the macro rail is longer so it may not fit some holsters. Talon does make grips for the macro but only in 2 grip textures.
I was on the fence about this gun, this video helped pushed me over. I have a 365XL and I feel the same way about it as how you stated. Good vid. Thanks for the breakdown.

Would suggest picking up a macro grip module and throwing your xl slide on it. That's what I did and absolutely love it. I swap the grip modules depending on what I'm wearing.
I skipped the P365 up until the XMacro and have been running a standard G43 first and then a Hellcat OSP. I have about 100 rounds through my XMACRO now. The only weak point to me is the stock trigger. Dropped the M-Carbo trigger and spring kit in (less the striker spring) and it makes a a big difference. Selling my Hellcat OSP with Apex trigger. Still a great gun, but the P365 modularity offers way more flexibility as I can drop the FCU and XMACRO slide in a Wilson Combat P365 grip module (10 round grip size) or XL frame module (12 rounds) for more concealability and carry the 17 round mags as spares if I choose. Worth the extra $$ for that flexibility in my mind.
Dude the world is your freaking oyster with the 365. You can make three different guns out of it or just change out parts like pulling a shirt from your closet and picking out your favorite shoes. I want to try the Wilson Combat grip module. Glock is falling behind when it comes to features and innovation.
I love my 365XL, favorite carry gun, nothing else comes close. The base 365 was miserable to hold (not as bad as the G27 I had to carry for awhile), and while I like my 320... 365XL just feels perfect lol.
I literally just bought this gun before watching any review videos and I'm so glad he did one because I trust his take and/or opinion on guns, probably more than anyone else on RUclips, although, at the same time, I'm not very keen on firearm critics or whatnot either but I'm for sure relieved that he had nothing but positive things to say about it for the most part
Pick mine up today. I have carried Sig duty weapons for most of my career, (P226/P2340/P226 TacOps). I have carried a P239 offduty literally for decades, but SIg hasnt made a ccw/offduty that has impressed me in forever. This video changed that.
@@Hialeah1925 No! It was perfect out of the box. Originally made for the Navy SEALs with the ⚓ anchor on the slide. The SEALs are renown for picking some of the best gear and firearms.
I had this gun for two years and I still love it. Have many back up/ ccw guns and it’s my favorite. I notice the difference in the follow up shots and I think it’s the integrated comp.
I did a size comparison with an Arex Delta and they're almost identical. The only difference is the Delta has a 4 inch barrel. It replaced my Walther PPQ sc as my edc when I combined it with an Outbags Calamity hybrid holster. It carries like a subcompact and shoots like a service pistol and they're a lot cheaper if you can find one.
Just bought this as my first gun i get it august 10th. Thank you for this video. Its nice to see the gun salesmen and you have the same reactions to the gun.
I handled one at my local shop recently. The grip was very comfortable for my medium size hands. “Personal” was a good way to describe it. I’m not as impressed with the capacity as I am with the grip. The only 365 I’ve fired thus far was the X, and I was impressed with it. In terms of striker guns, these Sigs have everyone else beat out of the box.
as you type on a device made in China. holosun has been making the diodes/diopters for all the brands for years before they started making actual optics.
I have the p365x and love it . They just came out with the 17 round mags with three different base plate so now you can have the 17 rounds no matter which one you have
Upgraded my daily carry to a P365x RomeoZero with a TLR7 about a year ago. That thing is ridiculously accurate and disappears in my waste band. Runs 12 rd flushfit and 15rd extended mags. Getchu one!
Just found one at a pawn shop with the XL grip module swapped in and a streamlight for like $600 Which is perfect because the XL grip size is my preference. Saved me the money of having to buy another grip or gun
My carry is a 365 with 15rd mag, while my home defense is a P226 with 20rd mags. I have a few others (S&W 40Cal and Glock17) but nothing feels better or shoots better for me than my 2 go-to Sigs.
The 17 round mags are shorter than the 15s. I have both. The 15 will work in the xmacro if you cut the baseplate down. They stick out like 1/4 inch in the front.
Today i checked out the Macro , at our local gunshow! It was the best feel I've had since the Browning Hi- Power. My hands are like this gentleman in this video, again..i was very impressed! Next month I'll trade in my Glock 43 , and afew hundred dollars extra for the trade.
I love the way the p365x felt, but I didn't care for the XL. Haven't tried the XMacro. Didn't like the original p365. I like the x grip. Then I picked up the Springfield, and landed on a Hellcat OSP for my summer carry. Maybe a tad snappier than the p365, but I shoot it better,(more accurate) and it has the perfect capacity for me with the 13rd mag. I have the 15rd mags too, but carry the 13. The X Macro looks absolutely awesome, and I love the 17rd cap. I'm not seeing the additional 400 bucks in value vs my hellcat osp however. Just my opinion. Ymmv. I hope the competition keeps these companies pushing each other! Thanks Mr Noir! GOD BLESS AMERICA! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I had a custom XL... So I just went out and bought the grip and Mags... Put all my XL into it and basically made a Tacops. I like having the 3.7 barrel with the improvement in grip and capacity.
I was really on the fence between this and the 365X. I already have a 320XC, although it's a wider grip, it's not much larger than the Xmacro and is near the same capacity. I will say the 365X fits much better for summer clothing. I ended up getting the 365X with a Holosun for the same price as the X Macro.
I was gonna say, the comp design doesn’t do much, so you might as well go 365X and save some length of slide, and only lose a few rounds. If I owned zero pistols, maybe I consider this. But I doubt I would land on it. This is if you have money to burn.
I have Three, The 365, 365 XL, 365 X Macro and I can’t wait for Wilson Combat to Release the Grip Module for the Macro because the Factory Grip is Ok but the Wilson Grip Module is Perfect for my big hands. My EDC for the past 18 years has been the P239. I use a shoulder rig. The 365X is about the same dimensions and the same weight but has 17 rounds instead of my current 8. Over 5000 rounds without a jam or misfire on my 239. Love Sigs. Paid $750 18 years ago so $750 for the 365X seems pretty attractive to me. Probably will keep the 239 for now.
You never know when they will light on fire and you can't get another one for a while. I want one. I have the original and I am thinking about trading up into it.
I have the 320 X Carry. Love it. For me that flat faces trigger, the sights, the grip....... amazing. Sig might be showimg off at this point, but man are the customers reaping the benefits.
I traded my P365XL a couple of weeks ago for the XMacro. I tried to like the XL, but even with my cadet small hands, the grip never fit-a bit too narrow. Not only does the XMacro sport more rounds, but it just feels perfect in my hands. And mated to a Holosun HE507K-GR-X2 green dot, it’s even more perfect. Kudos, Sig!! Oh, as far as concealed carry, fitted to a Tulster Oath IWB holster, it’s super concealed on my 5’6” 145-lb frame, and with a shirt tucked in.
The best-performing police depts hit 25-30% of their shots. There is also a CCU case study that estimates the accuracy of self defense shooting at 23%. Btw, when you take this into consideration, it really shows how stupid and dangerous those 10 round mag limits are.
Seems like the P365 series has come full circle. From a micro compact gun with a surprising capacity, to this gun which seems like a P320 Carry with a lower bore axis but a shorter sight radius.

@@HippieSkippy100 Yeah I’ll call cap on that. Iron sights on a 25 yard zero on a Pistol Caliber Carbine chambered in 9mm will shoot REALLY high at 75 yards (literally like 10-12 inches higher). Also most Iron sights don’t even give you a clear sight picture for you to see where your bullets go after you take a shot while you are aiming like optics do red dot or otherwise.
Just bought the gun today with my buddy, (he's getting married on Saturday) he bought a P238. I tried to convince him to get something a little bigger but he loves it so oh well haha. For my first conceal carry, I couldn't be happier.
This is cool, but with all the comparisons to the G19, I’m curious when someone is going to design an aftermarket G19 mag in a similar way they did with the G43X. They could probably get 17-18 rounds in a better engineered mag.
I just bought this gun Friday. It feels great in my hand. I swapped out the backstrap to the extra one included in the case and it feels even better. This will be my new concealed carry without a doubt.
I wish I had known about this gun before, it would probably replace both my G19 and G43x - sitting in the weird space between them and somehow feeling better than both.
I feel the same. Iv owned glocks pretty much all my life ( 19, 17, 43, 20 ). I recently bought a p365x with romeo x red dot and that gun changed my life. I still love my glocks but I'm afraid iv become a Sig fan boy 😂

I fell in love with the Macro just by seeing it. And then I held one and loved it even more! Unfortunately I can’t get one with the 17rd magazine. But I STILL want one!!
Yeah optics ready is the next progression for everything. I know this sound sacrilegious but I don't want iron sights on my gun at all. Just a clean dot. Optics have come a long way.
I just purchased this pistol and must say I am very impressed with it. I have the P365, which is smaller but, 17 rounds and, it fits perfectly as a concealed carry pistol.
Nice review I think the p365x with the 12rds capacity magazine was done perfectly. Nice front sight optic ready 12rds out the box. I think the Macro just was made for guys with bigger hands and Sig wanted to add a little extras 😂
@@apeop73I love mines too I did take the Romeo Zero red dot sight off and installed a holosun 507 kx2 red dot and oh man made a big difference no regrets💪🏾
I love the fact that it holds 17+1 and it feels good in my hand and also appears to not have very much muzzle rise , this is what worries me is the compensator , could or might it pick up debris kinda like a shovel and could that cause problems, enough problems that it might cause the bullet to veer off course, I wouldn’t think that simple lent would cause problems, but I personally would rather have it with a plain 3 inch or 4 inch barrel and slide.
I’ve ran about 600 rnds though my macro with no issues. I think The comp helps. I’m going to take the barrel out of my xl and try it in the Mac for the hell of it. A lot of folks say they want the longer barrel for the velocity but, let’s get for real it’s a handgun for ccw not a sniper rifle🤔
The cool thing about the p365 platform is you could just get the grip module & mags for this once they're available, and keep whatever slide you want. That said I've done quite a bit of research for the concerns about the comp and found that: - Velocity loss is about 60-75 ft/sec vs the XL barrel - There is definitely a difference in terms of recoil/muzzle rise compared to the XL. - There's really no risk of debris since the barrel itself isn't ported, just the slide. I've seen multiple people test this and never seen debris. - There's extra gas but not enough to cause burns or anything when fired from close to the body. - No noticeable difference in concussion. - Slightly more flash in a low-light scenario but not too significant.
I made the mistake of holding one in a store. After that, I'm not liking my Ruger Max 9 anymore. The Sig feels much better in my hand. I don't see any problem with concealed carry..... and I WANT 17 rounds!
Just purchased this as my 1st firearm. Feels great in my hands, and I feel confident shooting it despite being totally new to the game.
Congratulations if you get tired of that recommend a Glock 43x I think it's a little more accurate

So does ur mom
True but so does the trusty g19 or 43x with s15’s. Don’t get me wrong, I like my Sigs but daily carry a 19, 23 or 32.
That would be the Glock 19 for $350 less then SIG is charging. Complete rip off
@@tonyrogo227 really dude.
With a rail and optics ready plate
Also had 365xl. Was too light & flippy. Never got to love it to sold it.
I've got the XL too, but I personally love it. After 10-15 years of carry a g23/19, it is just crazy how easy it is to carry and conceal. I wear relatively small T-shirts, and sometime relatively tight long sleeve shirts as well, so I always felt like I was printing, or worse, that the gun was exposed(especially in the grocery store or something when I had to reach up to grab something.)
My only beef with the XL is that not only can I not switch out the rear sight to my preferred irons, but if I choose to mount a red dot on it(which I've been considering), I lose my rear sight altogether(with the exception of those tiny, super shallow cutouts they put on some reflex sights like the Sig.)
This gun does seem cool though. Kind of like what the glock 48 should/could have been. However, is there a non-compensated version? I've personally never liked really short barrels on carry guns, which is part of the reason I went with the XL(3.7in) vs. the original p365(3.1in.)
@@Mockturtlesoup1
I just picked up the new XL Tacpac.
I wonder if I could just buy the grip module to switch it on my x model
Bought my first pistol 4 months ago - Taurus TX22 cuz Im 71 and wanted to start slow and easy. Two weeks ago I graduated to a 9mm and bought the Sig P365 XMacro and having so much fun shooting it! I can shoot this pistol all day long. Not sure if I will ever get to the CC level - but if not I’m going to enjoy this pistol for a long time to come
Great to hear : )
Find a GOOD trading facility and take a pistol class. You’ll have a ton of fun and build your skills and confidence. It’s pricey, But money way better spent than another gun.
I like high capacity pistols!!! With a civilian there is no back up you got what you got. And carrin a second mag is a big pain. Been caring for over 40/50 years and have never had a need to pull it, I have had to defend myself on the street but 50 years of tournament fighting and black belt training has allowed me to leave my gun holstered.
been caring for over 40/50 years? you been sharing too to go along with that caring? hahahahahahahahahaha! pen...
Bullshit alert
Shut up, Gary.
Yeah but civilians also tend not to get into scenarios they need to carry multiple mags for. Yet these dudes do it 😂
You can use the 17rd mag in the P365 X if you want to run a smaller frame. I bought the Macro because it fit very well in my hand. I have large hands and there aren't many small frames I like.
The 17rd macro mag fits the 365x ??
@@j.johnson6548don’t they have a 17 round mag for the regular p365 now?
I bought one a few days before this video dropped. The P365x macro is now one of my favorite carry guns due to its compact size and 17 round capacity not to mention it shoots as smooth as the full size P320. I highly recommend this weapon to anyone looking to add to their edc rotation

@@starplatinum8266 at that point Calguns is your best bet. It's pricey, but if you need it here by all means.
I just purchased this gun a few days ago and it’s honestly my favorite EDC nice size and love the magazine capacity
The P320 was around that price when they came out. Now they're down to that $500 range. Just give it some time and they'll come down in price.
Everyone has been talking about this gun.
Indeed.
I love my 365xl with the 15round mag. And I threw a red dot on it
@@That-Will-Do-It I'm believe this is the reason why the macro isn't getting the traction it is.
Me too. It was the perfect concealer.
Shame I lost it in that tragic boating accident!
Just bought a P365 X-Macro and the gun fits my hand perfectly, the range let me fire off 50 rounds and this thing is so accurate, this is pleasure to use
I'm just going to wait for the P365 5.7 that holds 1,776 rounds. It's coming.
Just bought the X-Macro with the 3.7” barrel and no compensator slide… it’s beautiful
Bought this exact gun a couple of months ago. The moment I picked it up, it felt fantastic. Most comfortable gun I own and carry.
I have the same setup. Just added the Macro to the set yesterday. Now, I'm not sure of what to do with my P320 compact. Bigger with 2 less rounds...
They launched this 2 weeks after I got my XL. I was pissed!
Everyone at my shop shot the Macro and hated it....because it's better than all our current carry guns 😂
Personally I do notice the comp working
I wouldn't say its the same as a custom tuned race gun comp, but I feel it helps balance the recoil.
I feel like its more of an aid then a solution if that makes sense.
On his gun The compensator did not work
@@RedDawnReadiness Im just going to buy the mags and grip module and drop my XL slide on it call it good. THATS the perfect Carry Gun.
I carry a 365 sas every day because of it's round capacity pocket size and dependability Sig makes some of the best concealed carry guns and now with this new 365 X Macro I will be working overtime to obtain one Colin Noir your video reviews are truly the best
The comp absolutely makes a significant difference with rapid shooting. If you shoot an XL and a Macro back to back it’s quite noticeable.
No
No it doesn't.
(Before the unfortunate boating accident where I lost all my 30 round AR-15 magazines too!)😉
Jersey girl? You can buy the pistol, the shop will just pin the mag. Try it out and just buy new mags if you want 17round.

Yes Sig went in on that one Love how they put the comp in the slide and 17 rounds
I appreciate the constant reminders that you have no idea what you’re talking about Collins. Makes your videos more relatable. Thank you for not being a know it all.
I just got this yesterday for my first firearm to carry! Felt natural in my hands.

I noticed a lot of people prefer the XL upper on the macro. Ditch the comp slide and longer barrel

I did a size comparison with an Arex Delta and they're almost identical. The only difference is the Delta has a 4 inch barrel. I handled one at my local shop recently. The grip was very comfortable for my medium size hands. “Personal” was a good way to describe it. I’m not as impressed with the capacity as I am with the grip. The only 365 I’ve fired thus far was the X, and I was impressed with it.
Ymmv.

@@jamesborek8125 my wife loves her 365 in 380. It's her EDC and I enjoy shooting it as well. Soft shooting, really accurate out of the box. Highly recommend.
I passed up buying the macro the other day and I’m regretting my decision!
You never know when they will light on fire and you can't get another one for a while. I want one. I have the original and I am thinking about trading up into it.
I held that same gun and for a compact it felt so good in my hand and I'm not s fan of compacts but that made me fell in love with it.
I love my p365xl, I definitely want this.
I have the 320 X Carry. Love it. For me that flat faces trigger, the sights, the grip....... amazing. Sig might be showimg off at this point, but man are the customers reaping the benefits.
Loved every second of this handgun when I rented it at my local indoor range, this’ll be my first firearm purchase😁👍
Going to range on Monday to try this very gun for my first firearm as well, as the wife gave me the green light about 6 months ago.
CAN'T go wrong with the Sig Sauer P365
just got mine, unbelievable. threw on a tlr 7-a and an eps carry and its become my dream edc.
i got one the other day....I love it. better than my Hellcat or Glock 43.
More rounds can matter in a gun fight. Most people are wildly inaccurate with a pistol with adrenaline flowing. 💯
Wrong
@@DinoNucci Ryan is correct.
@@bwofficial1776 wrong
That’s not necessarily a good thing
The best-performing police depts hit 25-30% of their shots. There is also a CCU case study that estimates the accuracy of self defense shooting at 23%.
Btw, when you take this into consideration, it really shows how stupid and dangerous those 10 round mag limits are.
Thanks!
Seems like the P365 series has come full circle. From a micro compact gun with a surprising capacity, to this gun which seems like a P320 Carry with a lower bore axis but a shorter sight radius.
This gun is basically and thinner p320 x compact but with more capacity and more concealable
@@Sparks00psn Not every gun you own needs a 300$ red dot. Learn the basics of shooting with irons and go from there. Tacticool keyboarders... jeez
@@Epsonblade apparently you’re not an older guy wearing glasses. I am. Red dots are a great thing. It takes to long for my eyes to focus on the front sight now. 10 years ago no problem but, now it’s a problem
@@Sparks00psn they should all come with one automatically zeroed to your specified yardage then. You put one on zeroed to 10yrds, then shoot 30yrds or longer and you'll miss every shot. Irons have an advantage any range.
@@HippieSkippy100 Yeah I’ll call cap on that. Iron sights on a 25 yard zero on a Pistol Caliber Carbine chambered in 9mm will shoot REALLY high at 75 yards (literally like 10-12 inches higher). That’s a lot of MOA to adjust and irons take more time to properly adjust as well.
I love the hype over this: "it holds the rounds of a bigger gun! It also looks bigger, carries bigger, and (get this), *IS BIGGER* "
Traded my g43x for this and i never looked back. i LOVE this gun. paired with my tier 1 conceal holster it is the perfect combination for EDC.
I was on the fence with this gun vs Hellcat®, the highest capacity micro 9mm. I might go with this. For my every day carry
Great Review...into my 3 days of 7 day waiting period in Maryland to retrieve...can't wait to take it to the range...replacing my daily carry SW9VE (trigger, spring kit, and polish upgrades) aka Clone Glock which is still flawless to this day...time to move out of 1997 into 2024
I fell in love with the Macro just by seeing it. And then I held one and loved it even more! Unfortunately I can’t get one with the 17rd magazine. But I STILL want one!!
Why can't you?
Magazine restricted state
@@allaboutroofing2 like f’ing New Jersey. 10 rounds. They assume that everyone is a sharpshooter under pressure in the dark.
My wife has a SIG P365 SAS. And we both love it. I carry a pt92, and a glock 22 for duty, but her and i argue who gets to carry the 365 concealed
I love this gun, it's absolutely replaced my 365 for CC, and with optics on it really is next level imo.
Love my P365X! Was able to snag a 15 round magazine at a local gunshow. It's perfect to carry.
@@apeop73I love mines too I did take the Romeo Zero red dot sight off and installed a holosun 507 kx2 red dot and oh man made a big difference no regrets💪🏾
I have the 365x with a mag guts kit in both mags, so I get 14+1. I love it.

That said I've done quite a bit of research for the concerns about the comp and found that:
- Velocity loss is about 60-75 ft/sec vs the XL barrel
- There is definitely a difference in terms of recoil/muzzle rise compared to the XL.
