    - Please do "Norupo". It's my favorite.
    - The woman is Maria Franz. She's from Norway. The two men are Kai Uwe Faust from Germany and Christopher Juul from Denmark.
    - The Charismatic Voice has a great interview with Maria. Search for 'Tea Time with Maria Franz'.
    - 'Viking' was a profession. To go viking meant to go out to explore and/or raid. The word just came to be applied to the entire people. The Viking Age was from very late 8th century until the 1066 Norman Conquest of Britain.
    - Heilung draws from many sources with their music and look, some as far back as the Bronze Age (3300 BCE - 1200 BCE).

I had a very neglectful mother and every single time i listen to this song and she starts singing the lullaby i start crying like a baby.
I really can't help it but it feels like therapy so every once in a while i sit myself down to listen and cry alone in my bed.
I wasn't able to cry for a long time in my life growing up as a man and this just feels so blissful to me.

I also cry. I feel the music in a very deep way. It is as if the music is giving me emotions that I should have received, but did not. I feel these emotions now, as an adult, and it is overwhelming. I cry, but not because of the past. I cry because I am finally experiencing these emotions for the first time. I listen to music at home alone, but I feel as if I am becoming one with the universe.

The feeling you are referring to is the primal animistic core we all share and is deeply imbedded in us. We can never get rid of it because it is our default setting as well as any other animal living in this world. We are all born animists which showes by how we view the world before you grow up and everyone tries to tell you how the world "really" is.
Animism is not a religion but an intertwined worldview and spirituality.
    Greetings from central europe.

Her name is Maria Franz. The only words that we know the real meaning to in this song is the line Anoana tuwatuwa, which means Earth Warrior. This song, or ritual, is about bringing something natural back to the Earth in order to save us all. The lyrics of this have been left open for interpretation. It is also played at between 480 and 580HZ. These tones are known to heal your invisible wounds. This group and others like them are the reason that I am no longer broken. I would also recommend Wardruna and anything that Aurora touches...

Viking means pirate. The culture was Norse, the Scandinavian branch of the Germanic peoples who migrated into the European mainland in the Iron Age and fought the Romans, hundreds of years before the Norse pirates (Vikings) started raiding in the 8th century.

Heilung is an experimental folk music band made up of members from Denmark, Norway, and Germany. Their music is based on texts and runic inscriptions from Germanic peoples of the Iron Age, and Viking Age. Heilung describe their music as "amplified history from early medieval northern Europe". Their music is usually about Germanic deities, The Jǫtnar, and valkyries. "Heilung" is a German noun meaning "healing" in English. The references to the early ages of European Civilization are also made by using texts from historical artefacts or historical poems. The languages used are varied, with German, English, Gothic, Old High German, Icelandic, Latin, Old English, Proto-Norse, Proto-Germanic, and Viking age Old Norse being used.......so the Vikings are just a PART of the whole Germanian/Scandinavian Culture.....

You should look in to their tour schedule for this year, because I believe they'll be touring the U.S. this fall.
I would be so envious of you if you did go see them live, but happy for you at the same time. I think Heilung speaks to our primal parts, no matter our ethnic bacground, because music in those primal times were similar all over the world: the drums emulating our heartbeats, the nonverbal singing expressing the essence of people, animals and nature, the words spoken to invoke the goodwill of the gods. It was the same all over the world at some point in time. That's why their music is so impactfull.

The lyrics for this piece are mainly taken from bracteates: golden, circular coins or amulets found in Northern Europe that date from the 4th to 7th centuries CE. They are often fitted with a decorated rim and loop, which indicates that they were meant to be worn and perhaps provide protection, fulfil wishes or for divination.
The bracteates feature a very significant iconography influenced by Roman coinage. They were predominantly made from Roman gold, which was given to the North Germanic peoples as peace money.
In Anoana, the listener has the chance to delve into a collection of likely encoded spells from the Migration Period and get a touch of magic from the Dark Ages. The intention of the piece is to playfully reconnect to an incantational language of a period where the North was richer in gold than any other region. Our forefathers presumably enjoyed a time of great prosperity and it may make us rethink how dark these ages really were.

This band is more diverse than you think, the main singer is norwegian but all in all they are danish, norwegian and german. Only one is norwegian. Therefore i owuld call the band, gewrmanic rather than norwegian, also because they like to sing songs imagined from the european bronze age.
The vikings were basically pirates if that helps understanding!
The singing style she does at (09:00 is called "kulning" (atleast in swedish it is called that). It´s an old fashioned herding call used in scandinavia to call cows. Look into Jonna Jinton a modern swedish girl who does this and demonstrates that it actually works aswell. RUclips: Kulning - Ancient Swedish herdingcall by Jonna Jinton.
At 8:39 in the video symbolises the coins from which they took these lyrcis, these coins were found in scandinavia but are so old that they cant be properly translated. This is Heilungs interpreation of these coins, of a godess called Anoana that the bronze age scnadinavian peopel worshipped.

Also, my father cried when i first played him Jonnas kulning, because it reminded him of his grandmother herding the cows! My dad would have loved Heilung if he had still been alive!

This music caught me off guard at first. I couldn't get it out of my head, and now I just listen and enjoy.
Edit: @12:11 it was the 80's early 90's maybe. But my uncle used to put a cows pelvic bone, on his head like a mask, and scare the ever loving shit out of me... did I share too much 🤣🤣

Nah. I played with the forelegs of a dispatched deer my dad was breaking down in the yard during a deer season when I was about 4 or 5. Not so weird. 🤣

Vikings were people inhabiting Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Norway. "Att dra i viking" were also to go raiding/trading.

Очень нравится эта песня, хотя слов и не понимаю, но музыка и текст топ. Просто хожу по инету и смотрю на реакцию людей на эту песню, прожемая попутно лайки. Привет из цитадели зла и обители тьмы России. =)))

The whole video told a story. You have to pay attention. Legend of a recipe to make a superhuman or an ambassador, a bridge between human and nature. Those born under an eclipse with a pregnancy prepped especially for this reason has produced many, many born with blueish skin. India reflected this as well as other cultures.

viking means to travel in viking, meaning exploring basically, travelling to foreignlands to make ones name. its a status if anything, like youtuber is today, if u like.
it didnt mean warrior either, it covered peaceful intentions as well, commerce and exploration, as well as piracy and conquest. discovering america is to go viking.
most ppl pressume its about the warriorside of it. most vikings did it out of nessessity, either alone or in groups. most of them to trade or find oppertunities where they had none at home, like taking service in istanbul (miklagard) as varangians

Viking was a job. If you went raiding and pillaging then you were viking. But when your weren't doing that you were typically a farmer. Least that's how it was always described to me

I believe the comment would have been The Vikings were not the name of the People , the term VIking is the name of an occupation. A bit like the word Pirate . Vikings were people who were employed to sail across uncharted waters and try to discover new lands to settle and Farm. In return these people were told they could pillage and plunder any settlements they found along the way and the gold and other treasures they found they could keep as payment. The music and culture of the people was Norse Pagan.
