How to paint a 4WD in Raptor Bed Liner

- This was a fun project, Spraying this free 4WD in Upol Raptor Liner.
For the 4L kit of the Raptor was only $285.
Sandpaper and cleaners was under $20.
This is a cheap way to make your 4WD or what ever you want look awesome.

That is something my simple ass father would do. LOL

This looks all nice and dandy on video. Open the doors and you will see a half painted car (inner sides of doors, door sills etc. are still untouched). Edges of fenders are half covered in Raptor upon closer look. And so on. A proper full body respray is heck of a lot more dismantling work and preparation.
This is just a reminder for others who think that this level of work is a 100% respray.
Other than that, it is a neat job.
Painting the rims black would really take it to the next level.
My car is only 2wd could you please make another tutorial for 2wd cars?

I just done my 96 GMC k1500 in Chrysler Billet and it turned out amazing!!! Highly recommend using this!
That black looks great over the plastic bits, I may do the plastics on my Cherokee

This car is indestructible. anti scratch, anti hail, anti rust etc.

Dirty Details That's what I just wrote.
Just applied this same liner on my yukon bumpers and it turned out great!
Wax and grease remover only has to be used 1 time in the very beginning. After sanding wash thoroughly with water and dish soap then rinse. Final wipe down can be with 50/50 water/rubbing alcohol using lint free towel.
Man if you painted those wheels matching green that would be sick

Nice work - I customised my X5 and finished it with raptor (youtube X5 offroad beast - it's a little slide show), gets more attention at car shows than anything else there - will be doing more projects in the future.
Nice vid...Been doing this for years. I do expert micro texture on any vehicle and many different types of texture. I do this totally different. I lay raptor base first then the texture. I don’t use that raptor gun that comes in the box.I use a 4.6 tip devilbiss tekna gun And Devilbiss KB-555 2 Quart Pressure Cup. My mix ratios are mixed different. and gives that show car professional look. Cheers from upland Cali.

Seems to ne just like Schultz ( stone gaurd ) been using it for years. This way looks alot quicker though as with the Schultz you blow it on then the big waiting period before you can can blow your primer and base down. Anyways the Rav come up looking new again well done👍

Recommended 55psi,but I've seen people using up to 80psi

just my opinion but should have sprayed the spare tire cover with the black liner just looks weird with that random piece of chrome and maybe paint the rims black. but you did a great job most people slack on the prep work and you didn't and it shows

Good tip with pulling off masking immediately while paint is still wet. Would that work for regular acrylic paint too? I'm always worried about smudging paint while pulling off masking
same with all projects.
I sprayed boat decks with this stuff. Amazing. We taped in close, then detail taped. It also allows you to peel tape on the liner immediately which works really well. We had an insert for our paint shaker to make sure it mixed properly. This also allowed us to add light non skid.

Hello from New Mexico, USA. I am going to be doing this on my 1983 Jeep CJ7, Black and Red. One question. What psi did you use while spraying? I heard you can go from around 60 - 120 psi. Depending on the psi is how you change the texture of the spray. BTW, great job!!

About 8 liters for 2 hands of paint

I know this is late but... if you're painting your vehicle in raptor liner do your door jams really matter
After market spray nozzle correct? I know the supplied one Is garbage. And is your gun set to 45psi? About to spray my escalade and I don't want to ruin it😁. 2020 and this is still one of the best raptor sprays on RUclips! Too many tiger stripe specialists out there😂

Looks great!!!! But shouldn't you de-grease / wax after you wash it. To keep from embedding any wax and grease into the existing finish when sanding? That's just the way I was taught.
He degreased it after sanding too
I thought the beauty about rapror is that you don't need a primer other than on plastic parts or bare metal. Am I wrong?

Gday mate. How's the Raptor liner held up since first applied? I've heard as far as keeping it clean, it's just a matter of washing and using something like 303 Aerospace Protectant?
My question is probably going to sound stupid, but how hard is this to keep clean? (also did you end up doing the tire arches?). And how tough is the paint? Will it still be damaged from trees scraping down the side? Does it hold mud on it excessively? And finally, does it produce bonnet glare if a light source is on the roof?
I know these are probably all stupid questions, but if I am going to do this to my vehicle I would rather know the pros and cons first as that looks like hell to remove if it ends up having too many cons.
I'd like to get an answer to this as well, I bet its almost impossible to remove.... Thats whats holding me back.
Just spray down with water. I do it to my pickup's bed (spray on bed liner)
