It’s not carnivore particularly that’s healing you it’s being on a keto diet. And if you want to be even more healthy and gain more benefits you can eat a plant based keto diet.
My doctor diagnosed me with high blood pressure a few years ago. I'm extremely healthy, I eat very clean, and work out almost every day. This is very interesting, I am a disabled combat veteran currently seeking medical attention through the VA Administration. One of the things I am currently being treated for is high blood pressure which is normally running between 170-190 and all they keep doing is increasing my dosage of lisinopril. Constant headaches, severe ringing in my ears and most days my lips and face tingle and I can feel my heart beating throughout my face. Evidently they are not treating me as they should.
I was in the same boat. They threw everything at me and my levels, which were similar to yours never came down. I found out about one they hardly use anymore called telmisartin and my levels dropped considerably. I'm gonna give this TMG a shot n see where that goes.
Track your diet in Cronometer and monitor your micro and macronutrients. Basically only eat an amount of carbs your body can handle while remaining insulin sensitive and make sure you get adequate electrolytes.
fellow vet here, VA doc changed my meds from Lisinopril to an ARB and a calcium channel blocker and my BP is finally under control... have your Doc explore that option.
So true. Hypertension is often misconstrued as a disease, when it’s actually a symptom of an underlying condition, most of which are correctable. Unfortunately, the battery of tests one would have to go through in order to rule out and hopefully determine the etiology of the hypertension are many and costly. It’s just easier for the patient to take the prescribed meds and then procrastinate on getting all the tests completed. Many people lack the insurance or the resources to realize the follow up evaluation. As such, only a fraction of those who are diagnosed with hypertension can actually complete the follow up diagnostics.
Hypertension was defined in the u.s. and Europe as 140/90 for years. 5 or so years ago, the u.s. reduced the figure to 130/80, while Europe found the reduction unsupported and its still at 140/90. This does not mean it's "optimal".
He does come off that way I agree, but I also think it's possible he isn't actually capable of articulating it in any more detail because he doesn't have the depth of knowledge. @martindavis4287 it's a mechanism that allows turning off(+methyl) or on (-methyl) certain portions of DNA, thereby controlling which genes are on or off in that region. DNA methylation is a biological process by which methyl groups are added to the DNA molecule. Methylation can change the activity of a DNA segment without changing the sequence. When located in a gene promoter, DNA methylation typically acts to repress gene transcription. In mammals, DNA methylation is essential for normal development and is associated with a number of key processes including genomic imprinting, X-chromosome inactivation, repression of transposable elements, aging, and carcinogenesis.

I'm a 38 year old man who is 320lbs. My weight has fluctuated up and down from 280 to nearly 400 for several years due to food addiction/mental health issues (although I'm NOT someone who uses any of that as an excuse for my weight, it's my fault 100%). I understand my weight is unhealthy, and I'm doing my best to never give up on my war against food addiction. That being said, I've never once needed any long term or maintenance medications. My blood pressure has only ever been 'elevated' when I was at my heaviest and I was very nervous about my health. I did end up having to get gallbladder surgery recently to remove a gallstone, which happened to everyone in my family, although they haven't officially linked gallbladder issues to heredity. And if you've ever had a surgery, they tend to take a lot of very precise measurements, and they all told me I was in perfect health aside from the number on the scale. That's been my biggest health issue so far *knocks on wood*. What I'm trying to say is that it has always baffled me how it seems almost everyone my age and weight are on 10 different medications to stay alive, and I've never needed any one of them. Not even a daily asprin. I also have never used or needed a breathing machine for sleep apnea. And I'm someone who has spent years eating McDonald's and Wendy's everyday. And a LOT of it. The one thing I will say, is that a lot of my weight is muscle, but it's mixed in with a TON of that baby, flabby type fat. The other thing I'll say is that I've always been somewhat active, though my whole life is at home, working remote. I'm mobile. I walk somewhere or climb stairs almost every day. I occasionally go to the gym to maintain the muscle I have. I don't actually look anywhere near as heavy as I actually am. And I'm not afraid to get up and go do something that needs to get done. So the stuff in this video is very interesting to me.

I cured my Psoriasis completely after suffering with it for years. I quit drinking first off and changed my diet to a much healthier one. I think I might of actually figured out the cause of mine. Mtfr gene mutation that causes me to not be able to digest folic acid. People need folate or methyl folate not synthetic folic acid. Cut out all enriched and fortified grains and beer and see if that does it. Everyone is different but I think it comes down to food allergies or not being able to convert certain nutrients or synthetic vitamins. They turn into free radicals and cause all types of auto immune conditions and whole body dysfunction. You gotta start with the basics and work out from there. Good healthy whole foods, exercise and sunlight. Good luck! Thanks Gary!

Look at removing Gluten from your diet
Track your diet in Cronometer and monitor your micro and macronutrients. Basically only eat an amount of carbs your body can handle while remaining insulin sensitive and make sure you get adequate electrolytes.
fellow vet here, VA doc changed my meds from Lisinopril to an ARB and a calcium channel blocker and my BP is finally under control... have your Doc explore that option.
Go carnivore, get on a good electrolyte powder, magnesium supplement, vitamin D3 K2 supplement. Your welcome.
Joe pondering if TMG could be a derivative of DMT. “Give me a second, let me write that down, trimethyl….” 😂

I've never heard this from a cardiologist. add a link to them saying this. Would be good to know.
Hypertension was defined in the u.s. and Europe as 140/90 for years. 5 or so years ago, the u.s. reduced the figure to 130/80, while Europe found the reduction unsupported and its still at 140/90. This does not mean it's "optimal".

As a scientist, the DNA METHYLATION explanation was complete BS.
Word? I was locked into the explanation!!! Do you have a better explanation?

I understand my weight is unhealthy, and I'm doing my best to never give up on my war against food addiction.
That being said, I've never once needed any long term or maintenance medications. My blood pressure has only ever been 'elevated' when I was at my heaviest and I was very nervous about my health.

You are going to die very soon if you dont drop your weight, the only thing you have going for you is your strong body genes and your age, as soon as that dwindles your life will change completly for the worst if you dont do something right now.

I know you said you don’t make excuses but try just admitting you’re a fatass who eats too much without even saying stuff like “food addiction” (we all have that to some degree - food tastes really good now)
The truth sets you free and helps give you the motivation to change
Also you might have leg muscle but that’s it - the rest of you is just enormous blubber wrapped around a normal skeleton
Bile Salts since your gallbladder was removed. Dr Berg has videos on it.
Joe after the interview: Jamie, put in an order of TMG to last my entire life. Pretty please. Thank you.
Gary is a very good communicator of science, coupled with a great voice.
I love how Rogan whips out his pen and paper to write the name of the supplement, as though this podcast won't be immortalised on video AND audio
Imagine if Dana died in exactly 10 years and some months just like the Dr initially told him
