I took delivery of my 2023 X1(U11) 3 weeks. The wait was only 6 months. I love it! By the way, seeing that you're in South Africa, I'm wondering if you can answer this for me. 😄 In the US, BMW now sells 3-series manufactured in South Africa. However, why do they have to ship those 3-series cars to Germany first, then ship them from Germany to the US? Seems to me that the most direct shipping route is from South Africa to the US? Thanks! :)

I am actually not even that sure, maybe they stop there to pick up more cars first but we only build the X3 here though we used to build the 3 series but not since 2018
Hi Miroslav Thanks for the comment, it Depends, remember this car is made for city use and ease of use. So makes a big difference, they still keep to the Joy and sheer driving pleasure, just according to market. or demand rather.
F48 with M Sport styling is far superior to any other X1 imo, its just a perfect balance with the correct size grills, and fantastic exterior styling
Hi Shaggy thanks for the comment. 100% the M Sport does actually always look nicer, I guess that is why the Msport is the most commonly sold spec.
I prefer the E84. Had one but I upgraded to an f31 instead of the F48. Can’t get a powerful 3.0 straight 6 in the F48 or U11.

Sounded like the steering in the previous model was sportier and therefore better.
