Popped up on Twitter and I am thankful you did. I spent a year modifying a blue and white k40 death trap. Loved the project. Unfortunately it was irreparably damaged in a move and I have been debating for 2 years whether or not to start over. This popping up on Twitter and watching the video has made me want to jump back in but at a better starting point. I look forward to watching more of your videos.

I got Atomstack X 20 directly from Atomstack, within first 500 customers. Got it for over a year, love it never had any issue and i was waiting something that will be stronger then xtool D1 40w, , and here we go. Atomstak did it again. I am going to get this one as well.
Great vid. I was working on an auto focus for my Z1, but I'd have to add a board or completely replace the main on it to implement. Work got in the way so it's just a knob, leadscrew, & linear rods now.
Thanks bud! After how many years do we finally see an auto focus Z on a gantry laser as standard equipment? Also having air assist built into the controller? This should have other premium manufactures thinking twice when releasing a new product.
@@TripodsGarage dude the Snapmaker has had autofocus and sinking capabilities for the past 4 years. Not only that but the autofocus is entirely optical and as a digital camera integrated in the module. Ikier is just catching up in terms of features. If IKIER has something innovative, that would be the power of the laser but that's it.
I moved and had some other lasers with power cords so does any one know if it uses 12 volt input voltage to run it ??? Please help so i can start it up again please
18:40 Fun Fact: Dogs do in fact have taste buds, and their sense of smell which is extremely important to the overall sense of "taste" is many many times more powerful than humans, so they do taste things and if anything they can have a taste for it far more intensely than we do even before it touches their tongue ^_^

Hi John, I'm about to buy my first laser. Would you go with this or the X Tool 40 watt? I think they make a 36 watt that you can swith from high power back to 24 watts. What do you feel would be better? Thanks for all your great videos.
I knew someone was going to ask me this eventually 😉! xTool vs Ikier! Well the xTool bundle is $1,747.98 for the 40w with the 10w. The Ikier is $1,499 for the 36w laser and air assist. The can always decrease the power to fit your needs. To me, the Ikier even though you have a 4w lower wattage just seems to be a better machine. I really enjoyed reviewing both the xTool and Ikier, both are quality products. However, the Ikier just has better features, and is more advanced. I really like the auto focus, and LightBurn controlled air assist on the Ikier. The only thing I do not know is if Ikier will be coming out with a 1064nm module for the K1. I have links and discount codes in all of my videos, if you are in the market.

The 1064nm laser module will allow you to engrave metals. I posted a link to the xTool 1064nm below. The laser in this video is a 455nm laser that is good for wood, rock coasters, glass (with a interface layer), paper, leather, and other organics, and can mark stainless steel. Do you lose any of the x-axis since you have to offset to use the autofocus? I have a K1 ordered and it looks like you would, but asking to be sure.

looks very, very beautiful but i don't think is more accurate and powerful than sculpfun s30 max 20w. maybe you can make a comparison video?
