  • The Camry receives some changes for 2021 and Toyota wants to keep it in front of the competition. On the outside you will find an updated front fascia, new headlights with distinct DRLs, wheels, and rear bumper. The interior of the Camry receives the biggest change which is a 9in infotainment system, and new integration of the screen into the dash. Under the hood you still have two engine options and both are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the updated 2021 Toyota Camry XSE a BETTER sedan than a new Accord?

The long term reliability of a non turbo is too often overlooked in vehicle reviews. The Camry is a car, that if well cared for, can last a very very long time. That's the reason for the great resale and great lease offers. There is still a lot of life left in a Camry with 100,000 miles. A lot. That's why it's on my short list for my next and maybe last vehicle.
I'm going to drive it 'til either the car or I turns to dust. Great work Joe. I follow a few of these review channels, but not one is as prolific as yours. You really do work hard at this and I for one appreciate all of your efforts.

Naturally aspirated engine, non bs cvt transmission, reliable pano sunroof and heated seats without premium price. Id take this over an unproven turbo and cvt honda accord anyday for just the reliability alone. 204 hp is plenty especially stacked with a 8spd transmission they have mastered on Lexus for years. . Back in the day v6 were under 200hp and the Only proven 204p+ 4cyl Naturally aspirated engine was the k24( acura tsx wagon ) . Sadly it was premium gas and honda steered away from it going to turbos. Go Back to the basics.
But yes best drive experience would agree ,mazda wins. But I am suprised how planted the new camrys feel on the payment. And the steering is revised with a sport tight feel without sport mode. Keep the tech and give me reliability mechanics all day. Awesome review bro!!

This Toyota really tickles me. Awesome design, gorgeous black rims, great interior and boot space. Peppy engine and slick gearbox.

Likewise, 2019 black XSE V6 w/ red interior. Has been problem free and an absolute joy to drive. Wouldn't trade the smooth V6 refinement for anything. A real head-turner as well

@@GospoMan25 agreed. Glad I chose this over the accord. It’ll last longer and the v6 smoothness and refinement just can’t be touched, no Matter how quicker the accord may be

@@naveenthemachine Absolutely. Not a fan of the turbo 4 in the accord and competitors. I read an acceleration comparison chart and the camry v6/accord 2.0 were neck and neck, 0-30 & up to 100mph, I'm assuming at sea level. I'm 70 feet above sea level and it flies, lol. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Toyota's port/direct injection on their engines is a plus for reliability compared to the accord & should have minimal carbon build up over time. I see you naveenthemachine! Cam owners gotta stick together! 🤣

2.5 is not a small engine (mid range) for a sedan ! Its plenty of power to move people around.

I agree. 206 hp is plenty. The last car I owned with a 2.5 liter 4 cyl. was an '83 Buick Century with a whopping 90 hp. Lol
