  • The refreshed Accord Sport 2.0T is here and Honda wants to keep it at the top of the midsized sedan segment. On the outside you will see that there is a revised grill & headlights. On the inside you are still getting a ton of room and leather wrapped steering wheel. Under the hood is that detuned Honda Civic Type R 2.0L turbo inline-4 that produces 252HP & is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2021 Honda Accord 2.0T the better sport sedan than a Camry XSE?

Thats exactly how I felt about it. I used to say it was ugly and that the 17 model was the best one. I've seen this car so many times i went from saying it was ugly to saying man I really want this car. The more I saw it the more I liked it. I currently drive a 2018 chevy malibu LT. The fit and finish of the 21 Accord Sport is spectacular! The 2.0 engine and 10 speed automatic is absolutely the way to go over a straight V6 Camry. The Accord will perform much better overall than the Camry which is a bit vanilla IMO. To top it off, Honda is a real engineering company and each generation of the Accord and Civic keeps improving! I have a 2007 honda accord euro which I bought 2nd hand with 60K miles. There isn't a single rattle and no reliability problems at all, it really is a quality car. I have had for two years and couldn't be more happy with it. It loves highway driving and just loves to hum along effortlessly.

I love the Honda gives consumers the option for performance with the Accord. And now that Mazda has offered a turbo option in the CX-5, truly hope Honda offers this same powertrain in the upcoming CR-V redesign. The 1.5L Turbo/CVT combo is just not enough for an SUV.

Thanks Raiti, I got my 2021 Honda Sport 2.0t from Tampa Honda in still night blue (an optional color). Refresh for 2021 extended the front facia making it more aggressive. The LED headlights are now ILS top rated being much brighter than the previous year's Accord. Infotainment system (wireless Android Auto top trim level) is intuitive and more responsive than the Camry's XSE. Accord has a more luxurious, spacious and cleaner looking cabin too. I have a friend who has a 2012 CRV & Highlander. CRV not so cold Highlander = Freezing. I want the Honda so bad over the Camry because the seats are so much more comfortable, but the A/C is a huge concern in the desert heat. Maybe the new ones are better?

Sweet Honda sedan + great, competitive price too! I myself would much prefer the Honda 2.0 turbocharged four cylinder over the somewhat "long in the tooth" Toyota 3.5 V6. Honda is quicker too + with the turbocharger will loose less power in high altitudes. A "zonk" for both Honda & Toyota for not offering AWD with their top engine option! Since this like you said is a "detuned" version of the Civic Type R and turbocharged there will be much more "hop-up" & tuning parts for this engine. Nearly breaks a high 13 second quarter mile in a sporty family sedan = great!!
