What? Do you hear yourself? The BMW is AWD and notably heavier than the Accord and yet it gets 25/34 mpg vs 22/32 for Accord. 330i is absolutely not tuned one bit for drag racing. The fact that Accord isn’t even AWD and a lot lighter and still gets 3 mpg less shows that the Accord clearly should be gapping heavier cars that get 3 mpg better.

The 2.0T of the accord is a pretty impressive engin, it looks like it performs better than what its power suggests (it's a detuned version of the engin of the civic Type R after all) BMW 330i X drive is way heavier, so beside the fast start due to the 4WD, it cannot do anything against the accord.

This is a stock accord, since when is an accord tuned for racing from the factory? Both cars are stock in this video. The real advantage it has comes from the 10 speed automatic gear box.
Wow, a whole 3mpg! Well have fun paying for premium gas the whole time while being slightly slower. Not to mention the premium maintenance costs that come included for free.

It amazes me how nice this generation accord is. Even the 1.5 isn’t bad!
I have the 1.5 sport. My brother drove it and couldn’t believe how good the acceleration is.
You need to put that BMW in manual for the roll race and keep the RPM'S around 3000. I just rented one for 2 weeks, noticed its very slow to down shift and spool up when you first floor it in automatic. Its very quick and responsive in manual mode when its already in the right gear at the right RPM though,
Bro didn’t even put it on sport + there’s a huge difference then turn the traction control all the way off then put it in manual, the Honda won’t be next to him lol.
for around a 15k difference the accord is a beast and it reliable.... wow what a car
For half of them 15k i got my bmw 335i and it will beat them new honda accords 😂
And they reliable too as long as you aint a dumbass and keep them well maintained, thats a big key word for people who don’t maintain their cars.
As bmw fan, credits to Honda! Very strong engineering! ❤️

It's still an accord
@@Kingjay19 Yes, you're right, Daffe. It is definitely an accord. A car that gives me no problems. A car that's actually made to last longer & have less issues over the long run. even without a speed test, the accord wins hands down: it's larger, more comfortable, costs less, and is so much more reliable.
On the other side it has worse quality, worse sound, is less efficient, has not a great image, and is less reliable... It's a cheap brand for a reason and BMW is a premium brand for a reason. Please don't confuse your opinion with facts.

@@ginyuforx9632 I owned both brands .. and I love both. BMW has higher tech no denial and better quality of material no doubt.. and awesome fit and finish that's why it's more expensive too.. also more fun to drive for sure ..

Come back at 12 today to find out LMFAO
The Type S beat the Accord, it even beat a tuned Accord as well.
Thanks for the video. This is typical Honda engine behavior,
My Accord Touring sucks from the stand still position, but if it's already moving and I accelerate, it's like a rocket, like RPM doesn't matter to a Honda.
I wouldn't even recommend launching it with a CVT.
I love how you refuse to tell everyone to smash the subscribe button, but I also want you to have more subscribers. Thanks for your vids
The Accord 2.0T is punching way above it's weight. I want one, as soon as the preowned market calms down, and I can find a 2.0T Sport w/ 6spd manual. I know it would be slower with the manual, but so much more fun and engaging.
the manual will keep its value for a long time, the 10 speed will be priced fairly in 2-3 years .Its also my next car once Im tired of my 2012 acura tl(if I ever get tired).
The 10 speed is part of what makes it that damn fast and quality. Sure the 6-speed will be more fun but you should give the 10 speed a shot. This is coming from a die-hard manual guy. We just leased one because we couldn't get one around us.
Don't do it. The manual in the accord is sloppy and not very good. And you lose a lot of the speed
The 10 speed automatic transmission does live up to this hype and have to say I'm personally impressed with my own.

Great job accord! 2.0T was a great bang for the buck eversince it came out. Here is an interesting thought... Would a RWD 330i fare slightly better? 35K just beat or stayed with a 50K car!!
I have the 2.0, think it is a great car… but yeah betting better Bmw results with just the rwd, but the bmw would still be heavier… so not sure..
@@herbertwoodbery5471 exactly. The RWD is still heavier than the Accord. I didn't know the Accord was this light though.
@@herbertwoodbery5471 would AWD hamper the top end speed? I would say RWD is not as quick as AWD in start of the race but it will build more speed at the latter end.
RWD would give better results for sure. Awd cars arent great in the top end, that's why rwd would be best. Then, this comment section wouldn't be filled with hate for the BMW.
@@koreanational Top end (top speed) wouldn't be hampered much irrespective of whether it's AWD or RWD. The time taken to reach there might be.
The xDrive takes off fast because of better grip (the RWD can spin it's rear wheels if the track isn't prepped well). But on the move (say a roll race for instance), the RWD is faster than the xDrive. Top speed for both cars will be similar.
had a 2016 accord, upgraded to 2020 Sport and now got the 2021 Sport 2.0T yeah baby!!!
You are right about the difference in quality between the two cars. The Honda is definitely the quality piece. Better price, performance, longevity and resale value.
This is simply not true. Better price, yes. Better performance, no. The 330i took him with traction control off and around a road course it wouldn't even be close. There is no way to know about the longevity because the cars have only just been released. Also an accord has a pretty rough depreciation curve. Car will be worth 10k in no time.
@@NinjasDTA Have you checked the price of a 1 or 2 year old bmw 3 series? That is depreciation my friend. Even worse for the 5 series. You need to look at the percentage of depreciation not just the $$$. Plus, overall, the Accord will cost less to maintain over the life of the car. NOBODY wants to pay for bmw repairs out of warranty.
@@robertwilliams2498 right now in my driveway i have a 10 year old bmw that has only lost $1500 of value in 5 years and a 20 year old acura integra that ive had for about 2 years. They have the same amount of miles and they both cost a lot to maintain because they both have constant issues. Surprisingly the parts aren't too far off as far as price. Its the labor costs that really set you back with European cars but i can wrench and i have 5+ shops within 10 miles that will work flat rate labor of about $100/hr for the bmw. The bmw is definitely made with better materials and build quality and is in my opinion more of a drivers car as the integra has wonky weight distribution and a lot of torque steer

Remember bro, almost 200 pound heavier and 2 gears less for the BMW which it's significant.
I have a tuned e90 328xi, raced one and it was quick, kept up with me no problem but once things got twisty it was no match. Accord is a great dragster, but not much else. If Honda released an Accord Type R version with the upgraded turbos and AWD. I would consider buying one myself.
BMW still won the drag though in sporty setting which is the real race. Rolls are not that important. Honda is fast but in a straight line only and front whee drive is a turn off big time
