FUN fact : When KZ was just starting , she lived in Martin' s house because she came from the Southern of the Phillipines. Martin took care of KZ and several other young talents by just giving them a safe place to stay . He literally acted as a Father to all of them in the absence of their real parents . When KZ finally got her own place , Martin helped her with moving , hanging portraits etc . KZ considered Martin as her father away from home . That's why KZ asked Martin to be her 's and TJ 's Godfather in their wedding . Good man that Martin Nievera .

His voice already changed but try to listen to his album on his prime years. He and Gary V are the epitome of being a male singer of 90's A lot of amateurs can immitate how they sing to the point judges won't appreciate that much if a contestant sounds like them because they are too many.
But most of them can only imitate very few selected pieces from Gary V and Martin. If someone can imitate Gary V's Spain cover he will definitely win in a contest.

I watched him in a concert once. He’s actually very funny and spontaneous. He interacts with the audience really well and oftentimes hilarious. Like in the middle of his song there was one audience who stood up and walked out (turned out he was going to the restroom), Martin went down from the stage and walked with him to the restroom singing.
You should listen to his songs when he was younger. His voice changed already. That's our concert king.

Philippines' concert king in the haus!
In the late 1980's we had a project to raise funds and help the less fortunate. Martin Nievera was invited to sing one of the original songs to be recorded in an album to sold for the project (we even had a live concert but witout Martin). Martin with his good heart agreed. He learned and recorded the song for an hour! We are all amazed how professional he is. As a fan it was so hard to control myself but I did. I got his autograph!
Martin Nievera grew up in the States (Hawaii and California), which explains his impeccable diction. 🇵🇭🇺🇸
