      mali 45671 28 inches pan? You might need to double the recipe. And bake for about 40 - 45 minutes and Insert a toothpick or skewer into the center of your cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done! Have fun baking 👩‍🍳

      Yes, wrap the sponge in plastic to protect them from absorbing any weird fridge smells and to protect them from drying out. The sponge cakes are perfectly fine at room temperature for several days.

      Yes, I made this cake few time for friends. You can use the 6" tin with this recipe or if you use the 8" tin and you can double the recipe or just do one and half of the recipe. Like that you be able to make more layers. Enjoy! 😋

      143g lotus biscoff spread + for the filling and dripping. And about 1 and half packages of biscuits.

    Hi great recipe :) I’m using a 9 inch pan hence I’m going to double the recipe. Does that mean I just double each ingredient like use 6 eggs instead of 3 etc?? Sorry, I’m new to baking and so I’m not too sure.

      Hi there,
      Yes, that's right. Multiply the measurement by 2.
      Doubling a cake will make it take longer to bake, but it won't double the time. Tip: when doubling a recipe, cook/bake it for the time listed and start watching it after that to see gauge how much more time you'll need to add.

    Hey there. I don't have Lotus Biscoff biscuits and icing sugar, but I have everything else including the Lotus spread. Would I still be able to make this cake without the biscuits and icing sugar?

      You can use Caster Sugar instead of icing sugar and for the cookies you can replace them with your favourites cookies.

    I want to use the recipe for square pane 30 cm
    Should I double or triple it ?!!
    And if I want the final layer in green color can I add the color only on the same ingredients ?!!

      Hello! So for 30cm square pan I would double the recipe twice and bake them in different pans, So that would be four times the recipe.
      And definitely you can put any colour you want for the sponge with the same ingredients, That's not a problem.

      Yes, double the recipe each time. Bake for 45 - 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

      I wouldn't recommend it because of the fresh cream. What you could do is replaced it with buttercream instead.

    Why do u use icing sugar for the sponge instead of normal granulated sugar?

      I normally used caster sugar for baking but this is one of my friends recipe and I been using this recipe for a while and it works good, so I never thought to change it. You can use Caster Sugar instead of icing sugar if you need it.

    Why you ddnt add milk to the flour?

      A lot of cakes don't need any milk at all, A normal sponge only needs butter, flour, eggs and sugar. 😋
      Some recipes tell you to add a bit of milk to make the cake mixture less dry, but that's mainly to allow for the variations in egg size.

    I used a 7 inch pan like you said but my baking time was 65 minutes 😂 I added the additional time because the middle was still wet when poked with a toothpick
