поразительно, как леопард, такой красивый, изящный, с относительно небольшим ртом захватывает и удерживает кабана. Впрочем , я всегда на стороне Лео, а не бородавочника
If they were that big then they wouldnt be as agile and athletic as they are, and they wouldnt of had the need to evolve into amazing tree climbers, evolition did everything in the animal kindgom for a reason.
lukebccb Just because I make a comment that I didn't like the cries of the warthog, it doesn't mean I can't handle it. I like a quick, clean kill, but I also understand it isn't always possible. Give me a break! I'm a hunter for heaven's sake!

Just watching how the Leopard drags and rolls that Warthog around reminds me of how powerful they really are. That hog is bigger and he (or she, that wasn't quite clear) just rolls it around and then drags it away. Beautiful :]

Man..one hell-of-a-fight between leopard and warthog. Both animals tried there best. This was not a very big leopard and he took down a fully grown warthog, which usually is taken down by two lions. After watching this video I feel that leopard should be regarded as the KING OF JUNGLE, instead of lion. At the same time, "Sorry warthog, you did put up a good fight, but just wasn't your day".
@jmc - gaming You're right. "Deserves" isn't a term that can be applied to nature. But it doesn't matter if someone keeps warthogs as pets and cares about them. I'm not saying I like watching people's pets harmed. But in the wild where it's natural predator/prey dynamics at play (without human intervention), finding these things entertaining isn't sadistic.
@jmc - gaming Did you really just say "it's not disrupting anything" to deprive a predator species of its natural diet that it has acquired naturally? LOL.
@jmc - gaming Good lord, the more you speak on this subject the more you're revealing how ignorant and self-centered you are about nature. Have a nice day.
The patience these rangers must have to answer questions like “the noise is mostly coming from the Leopard though right?” Jesus Chris. Absolute rocks for brains on Karen back there.
This is a good nature video showing the natural hunting techniques of the leopard on a warthog. It's pathetic so many people downvoted the video just because they "feel sad" for the warthog. Many people just can't handle the truth of nature and understand that predators need to hunt and eat their prey to survive. There are many more warthogs in the world than leopards.
Thank you! Finally someone who understand what nature is all about. I too am sick and tired of people complaining about this; when there is more problems to complain about, like poverty, diseases and war nowadays.
I understand the truth you fucking moron, i just don't get off on it. Their are billions of people in the world too, so can we watch and enjoy videos of them being eaten alive too? Sick fuck.
Life in the wild. Horrific but in the wild kill or be killed. Some times the leopard will die from injuries from wart hogs. Slow death from starving. Great film work. No shaking and moving all over
Great video Rob. Ignore the yanks kids with their idiot comments. Let me educate them : This is Africa, the rules here are of the wild. Hunter and hunted. Respect to that young Leopard for taking on such a big and dangerous prey. One of the most effective and intelligent cats in the bush with the highest kill rate of all. His stalking skills are legendary. What you soft little city boys don't understand here is the purity of nature. The warthog is a large, powerful male who could kill the Leopard if it could with its tusks. Leopards are sometimes fatally injured. The Leopard has to calculate the risk in a split second before he attacks. If he is injured he can't hunt so will die a terrible death of either starvation or being torn apart by hyena. The way he killed it was the most effective way, wear it down until exhausted. Going for the throat as usual would have endangered himself and due to the toughness of the warthogs skin and the danger of being ripped by those tusks would have increased the danger to the Leopard. Like I said, one of the most effective hunters amongst the big cats. FYI, a lion misses 7 times out of 10, a Leopard kills, 7 times out of 10. Leave nature to its rules and it's course, that is the rule of a Ranger or any of us in the bush. Yes at times we step in to save an elephant calf stuck in a bog but in this situation. Never interfere! f
Bacon, sausages, pork & ham! O what a lucky leopard I am! Those who cry "poor warthog' are also those who think their bacon comes from the supermarket...
u edit these videos by far the best I've ever seen. ty. it seems the leopards are so much more aware of the automobile's compared to lions. is it cause of their ability to climb, or just they are more aware of their surroundings compared to lions because leopards have more to be scared of hence they are more aware
That is the largest warthog pound for pound compared to its leopard predator I have ever seen being killed. That thing is huge compared to the leopard. I think it might even be heavier, larger than the leopard.
I'm wondering whether the Warthog was screaming because he saw people there. Maybe he assumed that they'd help if he screamed loud enough. If there were other Warthogs around, would they help each other? If yes, did the Warthog spend more energy screaming instead of fighting because of the presence of people who he assumed would help?
What a slow agonizing death. Over 20 minutes of being ripped open, bitten, clawed, and eaten alive by a leopard. Could you imagine going out that way? Screaming for help and nobody coming to your rescue. Was fun to watch though.
There are so many examples of misdirected emotion here. People claim they are angry that the camera men were standing by, when their real issue is with how callous and savage nature is. Animals are dying painful deaths all the time, does it really matter whether or not it happens out of sight? Most of these people probably come from big citys and never even went camping as kids, so when they see graphic scenes like this played out before them, they go into a state of denial and put the blame on humans, rather than the natural world (which can only be pure and righteous, like it is in their minds).
Really sucks that the kill was so damn slow. The Leopard was young and the Warthog was big. But nature chooses it's own path. Still sucks to hear its pain.
