Warthog such a drama queen. Such a prolonged death scene and wanted all the attention on her. Should have just wrapped up the scene quickly but nooo she wanted to keep it going.
It's understandable the leopard is careful to stay away from the tusks, but one would think at a certain moment in time when the hog was subdued enough, the leopard could go for the throat, and avoid all this noise that can only attract competition...

Is that your way of suggesting it deserved to die? I would say, it's just nature mate, opportunity strikes! Sure the warthogs kill whatever they come across, birds, frogs, lizards, eggs etc. but their diet is probs 75% vegetarian? Depends where they live, I guess... a full grown warthog is a tough animal for a leopard to kill! As shown by this time edited video (it took a LOT longer for the leopard to kill the warthog than filmed) a pig like this must be so delicious, I have seen many vids online of leopards trying/and killing warthogs...it is never a quick kill either, their neck is just too damn thick, it must be worth the prize though, a lot of effort needed!

The leopard was just barely able to kill this warthog. A lion, and certainly a male lion would have done the job much faster. But the squealing would have been the same with lions. They like their food fresh.
Male warthogs can weigh up to 300 pounds. Leopards around 120. powerful animal. One in India killed around 300 people. It was a healthy animal. I think it was Corbett that finally killed it.

Even hyenas kill way faster than this! Even a couple of spotted hyenas would have killed and eaten, down to the bones, a warthog this big, in less than 20 minutes... a clan of spotted hyenas can bring down an adult buffalo or zebra, wilderbeest etc. and eat it all much quicker than a leopard..I still like leopards though 😊
