Hyena is up there with crocodiles in terms of bite pressure. Leopards would barely make a dent. Hyena would absolutely taken out a chunk from the leopard like a cartoon.
The hyena is so incredibly clever. It never shows aggression towards the leopard allowing both of them to feed relatively in peace. When the leopard feels a bit threatened and starts growling the hyena ignores him and slightly adjusts the angle of it's body away from the leopard which calms him down. Also it knows his jaws are strong enough to feed on the tougher parts of the warthog so it continues feeding at the chest and upper throat area, allowing the leopard to stay near the belly contently. What an amazing moment.

With that comparison, it's obvious to see that the hyena is a democrat, stealing the leopard's hard earned kill, sharing very little of it and taking all of it at the end.
@robertomu.. A strong bite. But the hyena wouldnt have taken the warthog down twice with just a strong bite. They dont have the skill and speed and brains a leopard has to take this huge thing down. When the warthog got up again in a last bid to stay alive when going mad the hyena would have lost it as it would have run away, if the hyena did get on top of it the chances are it would have fell off. It wouldnt have got it under control the way the leopard did and fast. No chance. A hard bite isnt always whats needed, the leopards paws are harder and the way it used them was very impressive. To get on top and to then go under it to bite hard on its kneck then suffocate it, a hyena would have lost it and chased it, all the hyena did was watch from a distance then came in once it seen it on the ground. The hyena just killed an already dead animal by ripping open its stomache. Thats all, total scavenger that waited as the hog howled like hell, did that scare the lone hyena? Couse it looked that way to me. And it wasnt for fighting with a leopard that just did all that. It just shared to stay safe and the leopard must have been knackerd. So all ended well, the leopard did the hard work and the scavenger got a bite to eat. But there hated by every animal in the wild.

This is way more unusual for the leopard than the hyena. A hyena is used to sharing meals like this with its clan. So sharing while eating is normal for a hyena. However, it is not so normal for a leopard, especially if this is a male leopard. Female leopards share meet with their cubs but that's about it.
Best video I've seen all month! I love these animals! Hyenas seem to very tolerant!? A leopard knows not to take on a hyena cos of their impressive jaw power!! Spotted hyena are a formidable animal, i know male lions kill them but they are 3-4 times bigger. Hyena are food driven, lions kill poor cheetahs too, and occasionally leopards...I still love lions too
'Pards apparently don't share meals much so small wonder if it was out of its comfort zone. Presumably preferred getting some without trouble to trying to fight a hyena over the kill (and likely as not failing to get any). From the clips of hyena clans eating I've seen the other party probably just found the cat a remarkably mild-mannered and quiet companion...
@@broadbandislife that was a very down ranked male hyena with not much family alliance. The hyena prefer to share silent with one leopard, then to fight for the warthog with noise and alarm the rest of the clan. Comes the rest of the clan means you have to share with 10-20 higher ranked hyena the warthog. Low rank hyena eats last. With the silent sharing with just one leopard he have much more of the warthog. Or he can alarms the rest of the clan when he is fed up.
11:47-11:54- The leopard is actually asking the Hyena to pull from her side so that they can tear apart the warthog . Hunger brought them together. Great video and thank you for sharing
The whole time the leopard was eating he was watching the hyena the hyena is just relaxed and enjoying his meal as if he's not sharing it with a enemy😂😂😂😂😂
MO MO No, hyenas usually outweigh leopards, are larger and have more devastating bites. It could go either way, but if both really wanted to kill each other, the hyena has the edge
MO MO That means nothing whatsoever. Even leopard and lion encounters are quite rare, yet they no-doubt happen a lot. You just have to look at mannerisms of a hyena and a leopard when they come into contact, the leopard is always wary and the hyena doesn’t really care about the leopard’s presence. This is even after so much time has passed and no other hyenas show up. You’re a leopard fanboy

Camaniyack I don't blame him lol
Tag team effort and both too hungry to disregard inherent animosity’s. Great video.
If the one republicans and the democrats cooperated like these two👏🏿
Adalto Mesquita cass
abe presume They actually do :)
And the poor and middle class is the warthog
With that comparison, it's obvious to see that the hyena is a democrat, stealing the leopard's hard earned kill, sharing very little of it and taking all of it at the end.
Yeah but where would the taxpayers fit in? Oops, never mind.
Kazmadai GOT EM!!!!
The bone crushing sounds from the Hyena though 😲😷
I believe these two creatures knew each other prior to mutual input on the kill, and sharing it.
Thank you for this footage! I love how the hyena is like "dude, all you needed to do is ask" :D
RIP to anyone with headphones good grief!
Ricky Bachman fax XD
Wow amazing leopard was bit worried 😟 but hyena was cool relaxed and fearless
One of your best videos rob ranger. Didn't want it to end. Great footage. Great hd video.
You can easily tell the Hyena has a strong bite compared to the Leopard. Damn!
@@alanmctavish4802 Hyenas are smarter than any big cat and rival chimpanzees in intelligence so you couldn’t be more wrong and the Hyena killed this pig buddy, the Leopard was eating the Pigs chest alive, it got up and ran away and the Hyena was the one who killed it so you’re post is nothing short of delusional btw Hyena has been filmed running down and killing massive adult male wildebeest solo many times on RUclips, a Leopard had never been filmed killing adult wildebeest so stop the cap
I'm amazed at what I have just watched. I didn't think this was possible let alone be filmed.
Hyena:Woah Dave is that you
Leopard:Tom oh my god how are you
Hyena:Not Bad Just found this dead warthog wanna have lunch
Leopard:Funny thing I just killed that a little bit ago but wanted to get the other one. But of course let’s eat this together
Hyena:The last time is saw you was at
Both at the same time: TIMS BIRTHDAY PARTY
Hyena:He was such a cool warthog I wonder what happ....
Shaboink The great he ate him.
The Hyena was eating the pray like no one was there..!! So basically, it didn’t give a damn about the leopard..!! What a boss..!!!
Fantastic footage
Truly amazing unique to me, wish we could see more harmonious interactions between predators......
We haven't seen it in humans, who happen to be endored with a thinking mind.
There is another video of a sub adult male lion joining in on a feast with like 15 hyenas.
The only explanation I can muster is that they both are incredibly hungry
Pumba😭😭😭
R.i.p
Nice double split kill Cheetah.
Reptilian alien Cheetah?
مو معقول
herbert alfaro fck... You made my day😂😂
I'm glad you called out 'nice'. I've been fortunate enough to witness predation in a few different settings, but never have I, nor anyone with me, felt those moments were ripe for laughter. Awe, mostly.
This is way more unusual for the leopard than the hyena. A hyena is used to sharing meals like this with its clan. So sharing while eating is normal for a hyena. However, it is not so normal for a leopard, especially if this is a male leopard. Female leopards share meet with their cubs but that's about it.
Never seen this before. Amazing. Just amazing.
I was expecting a cold blooded war! And at the end... they shared the food? Animals are better than humans for real😂😂💯
More Graphic than , popular channels!🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿😂 subbed!!
Dam that thing literally cried. His friend wanted to help but couldn't ugh if my prey cried that much I'd be scared and run away brave leopard lol
Wow, such amazing footage! Thanks for sharing, never thought I'd see this.
Best video I've seen all month! I love these animals! Hyenas seem to very tolerant!? A leopard knows not to take on a hyena cos of their impressive jaw power!! Spotted hyena are a formidable animal, i know male lions kill them but they are 3-4 times bigger. Hyena are food driven, lions kill poor cheetahs too, and occasionally leopards...I still love lions too
Hyenas are so tolerant of other pradators! This is amazing footage!
truly rare...seems like the hyena was more responsible for keeping this truce working...leopard got testy a couple of times
Dylan Foreman The leopard is definitely being very careful and on his guard. The hyena doesn’t give a s**t!
because the hyena can kill the leopard easily. A leopard have no chance against a hyena in a fight. Nice dessert for the hyena after the warthog.
aomunich A bit inaccurate to say the leopard has no chance, but yeah the hyena has a greater chance of winning a fight
Thanks Rob the ranger. 1 of the coolest things I've ever saw. Wow!
On the other hand, Hyena's like he'd rather share with one leopard than 10 other hyenas ..cunning indeed..he doesn't call his pack..
UNREAL!!! I Have Never In My Life Seen Anything Like This!!!
Truly Incredible!!! GET MORE PLEASE !! GREAT!!!
Leopard Thinking " Hyena is eating my food, let it eat... It's going nowhere... Ultimately all is mine" 😇...!!!

Yea man I had to lower the volume, it was way to loud. And plus I felt a bit bad for the board's head cold cut!
5:40 that hyena looked back at the Leopard and was like "hey want some? There's enough for the both of us"
They were eating together....that is a rare to see in the wild!
It’s archly beautiful this fact...
