An impala would never EVER come back to save its baby from the jaws of death, they'll simply run away and leave their baby to either die or miraculously escape. An impala's body is built for speed, not fighting. A healthy, full-grown impala will never risk its own life even to save its baby. An elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, Zebra, or water buffalo would, but an impala, gazelle, or any other skinny, sleek-framed animal in the order "Artiodactyla" would not. The bigger ones that I mentioned before might try to save their baby IF they think it's worth it.
Actually the leopard is behaving like politicians "I love the people of my territory, they are my brothers, I really want to serve them and tackle their problems"😇😇 After election, they serve themselves the common people's Blood...😈😈
At first the leopard was trying to bait for the mother or father for more food. Baby was probably just a snack. But towards the end, yes he was playing with his food before he was gonna eat it, as he couldn't bait for more meat from mother/father. Sadistic? Yes but that's nature for you.
+doddsydodds the crazy thing is that if all the impalas ran straight toward the leopard at full speed then the leopard would probably run away and the baby would be saved
All cats have quick reflexes but I think the leopard is about as close to zero reaction time as a nonfiction creature can get. Even a baby gazelle is probably faster than you think but every time the little one here tries to move the leopard is there in an instant to block the escape.
Every time the leopard bit the impala I was like "Oh, he totally killed it this time" and nope. Not even the time it freakin' fell off the tree. Impala babies are hella resistant.
not really. The mother Impala is watching helplessly from a distance. Leopard has no need to expend any more energy to take down a larger animal when it has an easy meal already waiting.
@@Rizzbulla predators as large as the big cats expend incredible amounts of energy as well as placing themselves at risk when taking on larger prey. There is also the need to balance daily caloric needs with exposing themselves to the risk of sustaining an injury that will no longer permit them to survive. They instinctively understand and are driven by those needs. Especially true with the Leopard since it lives and hunts alone unlike the other large terrestrial predators in Africa that will hunt and live in groups, packs, or prides. This isnt my discovery or my channeling the Leopards inner most thoughts. Its kind of well known due to hundreds of years of study and observation
***** All Nature is evolving, not only "our" nature! But if animals get too smart, relationships between humans and them will change forever in all levels! And they will probably win!
I think this is for practicing raising babies other large cats after killing the adults have done similar things in fact there's been a house cat that raised a baby squirrel.
@John Moore That's kind of what happens with language. People speak it differently, and pronounce things differently, come up with slang etc. It's really not that serious.
Ypp leopard is very Sharp minded he waited for little Impala's mom to come, rescue her child & then he will get more food to eat, baby impala is very less in quantity,he want more when he did not found anyone to came rescue the baby impala,he finally ate him now what he can do
No one on this net can imagine waiting to be eaten, you can't out run him, you can't beat him, you stand there looking eye to eye at something that is about to eat you as your mother and father look on and unable to do anything about it. the look of hopelessness, of desperation, despair and ultimately acceptance that you are a meal for someone and about to die. Mother Nature is cold blooded and no one is exempt from her claws. we have a lot to be thankful of.
It was the sounds of the camera clicking and the scent of humans that made the leopard hesitate... The leopard was like, "if I commit this murder on camera then I'm surely doing a life sentence."
Leopards are carnivores, they hunt to survive, idiot. Also why the fuck would u ever think of getting close to a leopard and even worse try to save its food. The leopard would kill you immediately and have you for dinner instead
But I am sure my cat did love mice. Once I set both into the bath tube (because my cat always did hurt the mouse when catching it again) and my cat was so happy, in distance it turned on her back, just of joy. Then my cat friendly and carefully came closer to the mouse, but the mouse did attack my cat, when their headscame closer! What a pitty. I liked the mice very much, but also my cat.
Sure I feel bad for the baby but everything has to eat, maybe this is a young cat just learning or it could be another reason. Regardless ALL cats play with their food!
My cat does exactly the same thing, when he thinks the mouse has no escape he takes a break and just seats by the mouse and sometimes he forgets he was hunting and mouse gets away.

can you imagine sitting down eating dinner outside and an animal comes by and tries to eat your kid...and it being a normal occurrence...so glad to be a human
It is not normal even for them but animals get over it way faster than humans since they don`t know any different. It is us humans who have developed a society, order and such which has evolved over the years. Our problem as humans is only that there is always one group that wants to take control over another group or dissolve them completely instead of living in harmony or get the fuck out of each others way. Like the world wouldn`t be big enough for everybody. Animals don`t evolve. They only adapt to different conditions. Imagine an Impala being able to build a shelter with doors and all that to be protected from predators :D if that would be possible I bet nowadays we would be able to have regular conversations with animals.... which could be quite interesting :) PS: In some countries it is still normal and fully legal to arrange weddings for children under age where those children do not have the option of choice. One day you are happy among friends and family and the other day you may be miles away from all that probably never comming back. Just like that.

No, that's not at all what this was.

I think he was trying to lure in a bigger adult impala
At first the leopard was trying to bait for the mother or father for more food. Baby was probably just a snack. But towards the end, yes he was playing with his food before he was gonna eat it, as he couldn't bait for more meat from mother/father. Sadistic? Yes but that's nature for you.
The thing that makes this sad is the fact the baby Impala knew it couldn't run so had to just stand there.
doddsydodds It was waiting for its mom to rescue it
+doddsydodds it tried to run several times, each time the leopard caught it and hurt it with its claws.
It's nature don't be a bitch about it
+doddsydodds the crazy thing is that if all the impalas ran straight toward the leopard at full speed then the leopard would probably run away and the baby would be saved
+chinchy111 and the Leopard would go hungry and starve to death. How is that fair ?
She’s trying to bait the mom , larger food
That's what I'm thinking as well

@DICK LONG dude its the way of life and predators go for adults too
@DICK LONG yeah true. But in this case i think an adult would outrun the leopard so you cant blame it i guess

Yeah, my newborn sister didn’t survive the same treatment.

The leopard is using the baby as bait, that’s brilliant! And scary...
not really. The mother Impala is watching helplessly from a distance. Leopard has no need to expend any more energy to take down a larger animal when it has an easy meal already waiting.
@@gozorak
Good to know you know the ends and outs of a big cats brain. Even know what they're thinking. Like conserving energy.

Clever Leopard. Holds the baby hostage making him cry, to hunt adults!!! Animals are getting smarter!
+Peter Coimbra or they have always done this and we have never been able to film it.

Just eat
He's trying to take it back but he forgot to get his receipt
No one on this net can imagine waiting to be eaten, you can't out run him, you can't beat him, you stand there looking eye to eye at something that is about to eat you as your mother and father look on and unable to do anything about it. the look of hopelessness, of desperation, despair and ultimately acceptance that you are a meal for someone and about to die. Plot twist-
It looks like my cat playing with a mouse before he eats it.
I know right 😂👌🏽
But I am sure my cat did love mice.

My cat does exactly the same thing, when he thinks the mouse has no escape he takes a break and just seats by the mouse and sometimes he forgets he was hunting and mouse gets away.

Humans do even worse
+AddoSpero not the main point dipshit
+AddoSpero true...
bstlybengali
It is not normal even for them but animals get over it way faster than humans since they don`t know any different. It is us humans who have developed a society, order and such which has evolved over the years. Our problem as humans is only that there is always one group that wants to take control over another group or dissolve them completely instead of living in harmony or get the fuck out of each others way. Like the world wouldn`t be big enough for everybody.
Animals don`t evolve. They only adapt to different conditions. Imagine an Impala being able to build a shelter with doors and all that to be protected from predators :D if that would be possible I bet nowadays we would be able to have regular conversations with animals.... which could be quite interesting :)
PS: In some countries it is still normal and fully legal to arrange weddings for children under age where those children do not have the option of choice. One day you are happy among friends and family and the other day you may be miles away from all that probably never comming back. Just like that.
