I’ve recently rebuilt my website, it’s still a work in progress however I’m always adding more content weekly. Also I’m selling some 3D printer .STL files for those who want to print some awesome details as well 😎 www.bouldercreekrailroad.com/
@@BoulderCreekRailroad We know it all takes time, any day with new content is a good day. I have a fun story for you. My in-laws, who live in Seattle, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last November. At their party one of their long time neighbors who is 80 found out I liked model making too and we started talking. He loves your channel and your videos got him into 3D printing parts for his stuff.
A tip for when using the plaster filler to fill the gap: mask off the gap. Add a strip of masking tape on either side of the gap, the tape won’t stick great to the wall, which is to your benefit. Fill the gap as usual and then remove the masking tape while the filler is still wet. The amount of detail you need to recarve should be minimal 🙂 Great build mate, enjoyed it immensely!
This is brilliant, Luke. I love how you left in some of the "juggled" fails. This is better than seeing them all succeed, as it brings more of a human touch to the video. We all know you produce take after take to get that final perfect "cut" scene. A few errors adds so much character to these tutorials. Again, another great success.
BEcause i had fun searching for him, the Waldo/Wally sightings: 00:38 under the glass below the square plaster wall with two windows 3:34 behind, what looks like, a couch to the left of the building as the camera pans left 9:06 inside the building as seen through the window above what would be the door 21:00 peeking behind the corner of the model's base 21:38 behind the 2 stacked palletes of bricks
Hi Luke. Wieder ein geniales Diorama. Finde das Maßhaltigkeit des Gebäudes ja extrem das man da so viel spachteln muss. Hast du wieder genial gebaut. Grüße Tino
If there was one video I would recommend for other hobbyists to watch, it would be this one! All of your work is great, but so much detail and techniques packed into this one. Love it.
I've never commented on any of your videos and there's no special reason for this comment. But I just wanted to let you know that I respect your massive talent. I'm sure it was a long trial and error road to get where you are now but it's a pleasure of watching you doing what you do and the way you explain it without an ego involved. Please keep them coming I enjoy watching them very much
Gotta get up early tomorrow... A new Luke Towan video, you say? So let it be written. So let it be done... (How does he always know when I don't have time, but I can't 'not' watch ?) Well done, as always! :)
I am an old retired codger who now sits and watches RUclips videos while listening to Audiobooks. I just mute your audio and watch. Your attention to detail is awesome and your fastidiousness (is that a word?) to getting everything right amazes me. The only critism I might have and it is probably me age is the constant flipping of bottless and cans. :/ I will eventually binge watch each episode as I listen to my books and openly be envious of your ability and my inability to do the things you do. While time is something I have aplenty, the tremors in my hands would not bode well with your hobby. Keep up the good work!
Hi Luke, This is my first ever comment on any RUclips channel. That is because my 6 year old Ibraheem was insistent that we should convey you, you are really doing a good job. Excited to see many more from you.
Love it, I would suggest to add one thing. A red balloon next to drain... If you has seen movie "IT" it's very know so well for red balloon and paper boat next to that kind drains :)
This model is reminiscent of the “World’s Littlest Skyscraper” in Wichita Falls, Texas, USA. I recently watched a RUclips video regarding its history… quite interesting. Fantastic work as usual, Luke. I love the brick and concrete weathering.
Every time I look at your works, I no longer have the courage to go home and look at my dioramas, you are unattainable in terms of skill ..😅 but always a wonderful source of inspiration, thanks Luke ❤
Thanks, Luke. I have no interest in making dioramas myself but I spent hours binge watching your videos during lockdown whilst cuddling with my sweet doggo, Oscar. He passed away last Friday and I just watched this video and remembered how it felt to be chilling out with him.
Heeey there he is! Very cool scene Luke, and I hear ya on never being quite done with these projects with there always being room for more and more. You took this one WAY far as is and is an absolute stunner. Well done on an awesome build man😎
Hey Neil, thanks for such an awesome comment 😃 it's always good to hear from other modelling experts, p.s. I loved your castle build... I'm amazed at how fast you learnt blender and z brush 😎 you're truly multi talented!
I love Randy’s buildings; they have so much character. Love starship filth too. What a great name. I use masking tape each side of any gaps to avoid spreading too far and filling in those crucial details.
That road makes me extremely jealous. The roads I've lived near for the past decade are full of potholes, both filled and unfilled. Amazing work as always!
You know I saw some grass mats being sold online and they did look really cool but they was pricy for jist a few pieces. Now that you showed me how I can make my own you're saving me money already. Thanks again Luke for yet another helpful tip

Waited for so long
Pl post often
U do really cool things
I know... Don't worry the next one won't take nearly as long!
@@BoulderCreekRailroad hey uh Luke, do you have any plans to give a tutorial on how to do ripple effects/tips for it for a video?
I was just thinking man it's been a while since the last Luke Towan video, your ears must have been burning lol.
lol... they are actually a little warm... must be the next video on the way 😄

I literally looked yesterday and nothing… then a few hours later this appears 😃
It’s always a nice day when I see one of these pop up! Best videos before sleep or when I’m working on something tedious in my workshop!
Hearing STARSHIP makes me think: A starship diorama made by you would be awesome!

You have officially earned the name Diorama KIng 🤴🏻 truly amazing work 🥇🏆 😊

The Bob Ross of model building and painting. RESPECT ✊🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hang on now....
Maybe Bob Ross is the Luke Towan of oil painting.

It's amazing how realistic you make these models
Thanks mate, when I look at the photo's I always think of extra details to add 😉
Painting and especially weathering shows who is a master builder.

Watching your videos has become my happy place... Please start doing this full time and just do a monthly thing on patreon...
I don't come here to watch Luke build truly amazing realistic dioramas, I only come here for the unbelievable paint can flipping. 😮
I found Wally twice! That's two better than my personal best!

a video about a building where the grass had me gobsmacked. That is some good looking grass.

New videos always show up at the perfect time.
One of the best builders going.
In a word....BRILLIANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad to see you back…
You are the GOAT. As a warhammer 40k fan i would love to see you do something dystopian. Cheers from USA
Always a good day when a Luke Towan video pops up in the feed ❤️
Hope you enjoyed it! 😊
So true!
Your dioramas always look so realistic. They always look like photographs of real places.
Hope all has been well. Glad to see you’re back. Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
The master strikes again. Awesome.
Great to see you back Luke. We missed you!
Hey, thanks! 😊
My favorite part of RUclips is watching someone with more talent than I’ll ever achieve make absolutely amazing art while I eat ice cream from the tub
Your bottle flip is still amazing! OH! Your model building is too!
Good to see you back Luke. Hope all is well with you. Great clear video as usual, always learn loads from you. Thank you.
As I keep saying Luke, you are the Master. Thank you for such a pleasure video to watch.
Well it’s about time! I’ve been missing the videos! I needed to relax!
Finally Luke!
Your videos are always worth to wait 💪🏻👽
I am unlikely to ever make any sort of diorama but I click the play button so fast each time you post!
And when it’s over you say… “now what?!”

Was literally just thinking this lol
The Tom Scott video on it is pretty good, if that's the one you're thinking of.
I immediately thought of the tiny skyscraper when I saw the model in this video too
3:25 I'm sure he was thinking "Wow, that flip was spot on! It will make up for the one at 3:38!" Lol
Thank you, RUclips recommendations, for reminding me about this channel
He's Alive! Nothing beats coming home from work and seeing Luke Towan finally made another video.
Another master piece!!! I never see waldo.
Wow! Thanks Luke. Your techniques produce excellent results. Plenty to learn from here.
Every time I look at your works, I no longer have the courage to go home and look at my dioramas, you are unattainable in terms of skill ..😅
but always a wonderful source of inspiration, thanks Luke ❤
Thanks Andrea, it's just a little practice 😊 You can always slowly add to your older dioramas to make improvements as your skills improve 😉
I think I know what you mean. Like playing golf with Tiger Woods. You end up wondering what happened!
Getting a notification that you have a new video out feels like when I was a kid and woke up on Christmas morning.
These are some beautiful buildings luke
THE KING IS BACK
Amazing….I love watching your methods …the grass is my favorite
You are one very clever young fella.. You have a fantastic flare for this sort of thing, it's just brilliant. well done mate.
So amazing as always
At first glance i thought it was a real location nice build
Amazing ! Again and again and ... again. Hello from France.
Another awesome build. Thanks Luke.
Thanks, Luke. I have no interest in making dioramas myself but I spent hours binge watching your videos during lockdown whilst cuddling with my sweet doggo, Oscar. He passed away last Friday and I just watched this video and remembered how it felt to be chilling out with him.

Its allways fun to watch your videos. 👏👍🙂🇸🇪
That sidewalk and road are REALLY nice shape for being a bad block... no potholes, no repairs, no tilted walks pushed up by roots....
Rundown places always look so much more interesting than pristine places
I was just here checking yesterday for new videos! Bless you 🤘🏻
Toll gezeigt und gemacht👍👍👍
Man, so good to see you again!!
Awesome job Luke! 😍👍🏻👊🏻
Wow its amazing, Really its a great piece of art, three thumbs-up for you👍👍👍
again, a proper tutorial. 👍 ...I thought you had finished with the trees and bushes.... then you added the power lines !! Brilliant.
Thank you! Cheers!
Another piece of art 👍👏👏👏👏

I think its safe to say the bottle flipping theme is maxed out 😂
*G'mornin', Luke, from Tennessee, USA!* 😀👍

so true! It's amazing stuff 😎 I'm always amazed at how far it can stretch!
you know the video was pushed out as fast as possible, when Luke fails the bottle flip 3:37

Another great video. interesting approach with the 'speckling', I'll have to try that... Thanks
