I know a lot of you are here to see the process of actually building the waterfall, so in the video description I’ve included all the time stamps for the different steps to create the waterfall sections. That way you can skip right to the part you want to see! Also if you want to see more photos and a little bit of extra info be sure to visit: www.bouldercreekrailroad.com/
I’m 15 year old and have been into model trains for my entire life. I thank you so much for helping me with ideas for my layout. I get bullied a lot for what I do. You give me an escape because I know other people like the hobby. Great Chanel! Keep it up.
This is completely ridiculous! As in ridiculously fantastic talent. I am completely floored by this level of detail. Just when I think you are done, you take it several steps further. Subscribed
Driven to Draw: "Ridiculous" means "worthy of ridicule", meaning it's worth making fun of. Is that what you meant? Is Luke's talent worth making fun of, but "fantastic"? It can't be both. Just sayin'. Take care. :0) DBB
I would recommend adding gloss varnish or another product to create a wet effect on the rock behind the falls, they look dry and that would not be the case, also they would appear darker. You would have a waterfall "splash zone" and you would have plant life/molds growing on the wet rocks. Falling water is much more white as well and less clear. For additional effects you could have part of the viewing platform in the wet zone and that will add interest, you could also add mold effects such as the AK interactive product line for molds etc.
I’m blown away at all the details and tips! I love doing detail work. Those tiny features make all the difference in a work of art like this. I’m gathering tips before starting a small water project for our outdoor landscape and I feel like I hit the jackpot here. I do wish the music distraction could be turned off though. I had to mute much of this. But thank you for sharing your knowledge!
oooo that sounds cool, I'm actually making a train station for an upcoming video except it won't be abandoned... Maybe after a year or so I'll turn it into an abandoned one!
Amazing!! Your paitence blows me away. And the fact that you have every tool for the job. My only critisism is that your rocks dont look wet. Perhaps darkening those that the water would splash over? Otherwise it is unbelievable!!!!! So real!!
Here I am sitting in my car watching RUclips videos waiting for my girlfriend frustrated because she is taking so long to come. Then I found your channel. I hope she never comes.
that would be soooooo cool. honestly he should do anything underwater since i really wanna see how he would make the water easy to see through while also coloured and have depth lol
At first I was just like I'm gonna Watch this to fall asleep.... It's done now and me my brother and my mother, haven'yawned since it started.......safe to say ur now my fav
Third time I've watched this video and I must say you are truely a talented person, I am in awe with every video you do. In my view, you are THE terrain master. Thank you for not only sharing this with us but taking the time to make this as easy to follow as humanly possible. stay safe and well
Whats the purpose of the dish soap in the water on a lot of these projects? In this example adding it to the water spray coating before using the rock molds, I've noticed it being an ingredient in small amounts on various projects but don't know if there was a video explaining its importance in the areas where it's used or if i'm just missing a really obvious use.
Great work, I watched the whole video, at the end of the video, I noticed it last for 41 minutes, but when you're interested in something, time goes fast
Nice detail! I try and use real rocks and pebbles where I can, to save on time and resources. I keep buckets of varied materials for this purpose but I understand the need to create them, as it is certainly more satisfying. Again, this is excellent work.
Here's an idea you could add to it, add a little tiny fog machine at the bottom of the water fall where it goes into the stream below that way it'll give it an added natural effect.
Luke, about staining wood, there is a method I use that involves easy materials, vinegar and steelwool, if you interested in the results of this method please let me know and I'll send you some pictures of my stained wood (mainly coffee stir sticks and BBQ pens)
You are quite a talent! I’ve watched a number of your videos now and I’m curious-what do you do with all your incredible finished dioramas? Do you have a showroom in your home? Do you sell them? Just wondering. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with the world.
What a wonderful video, amazing steady hand doing those small details 😊👍👍 You have a great fantasy, using many different things that makes the scenery very realistich 😉👍👍
The freeform nature and importance of adapting with changes is something i find inspireing. Could further emphasise that by intentually damageing or messing up part way and then showing us how to recover. Get half way thru a rock overhang then put a hammer into the clif then adapt it to something.

What is your favorite tool and less favored tool
i cant seem to find a good town video perhaps someone can fix that dilema?

Tom Clinch what they bully you for doing now, they will pay you to do later 😎
Most people who make fun of others' hobbies have none of their own and they're just boring basic bitches so just ignore it.

@Bagsy what if bullying people makes you happy??
@m8 wot this only show that you maybe have a disorder

I genuinely dont think I've ever seen such attention to detail this close up.

@@donnablackman9167 It is also a synonym for "absurd", as in "absurdly fantastic" so chill out, Karen.
@@scottinbristol: I"m chilled to the bone, Karen. Thanks for pointing that out. It still mainly means "worthy of ridicule". Take care. DBB
I also thought this was finished... then came the mist. Hectic.

Carabus 03 Thats exactly what I wanted to suggest.
Looks to artificial
That was the only small flaw I could see. The rocks behind the waterfall would be very wet and glossy, and darker than the dry cliffs around it.
exactly my thought.
You guys should post yours so we can compare.

You should put all your dioramas into a little town or just make a little town
And do video from it
Called "Miniatur Wunderland" and is in Hamburg 😅
