  • This tutorial will walk you through some of the tips and tricks for building an ultra-high quality model that could be a feature in a museum! It’s really not as difficult as you might think.
    Most of the 3D printer files used to add detail in this scene can be found on my website at:
    www.bouldercreekrailroad.com/...
    This model is in HO scale however like with nearly all of my previous videos the techniques I use can be applied to just about any other scale, from Z scale right through to G scale!
    I use a lot of techniques that you will have seen in previous videos plus a whole lot of new never before shown techniques for creating unique effects, below you’ll also find a list of companion videos for things like the chain-link fence, various trees on the model as well as some tools I use.

    Fantastic tutorial, and model, Luke! I'm really glad to see the Victorian, and V/Line, theme come back :) You've really captured a typical Victorian Railways country station beautifully. And I love the way you've done the track; a few years ago I was looking at, along with a friend, using hand laid code 55 rail with timber sleepers and etched plates/spikes. But the amount of work needed meant I just stuck with peco code 75 instead... I'll definitely need to look at this method for a planned layout though! And you've made me want to get back onto the scenery for my current Victorian branchline layout :)
    It's also great to see a few Aussie brands coming up. SMS is doing great work with their paints, powders, and other items (I absolutely love their sprue cutters!). Hopefully more people pick up their products.
    I'm not sure if you've come across them, but there's some nice ballast products from Matts Ballast, and Chucks Ballast. Both make great range of ballasts to represent ballast from various quarry locations. You'd be amazed at what we successfully used for ballast in Victoria (loco ash was common; we even had a few branchlines that are recorded as 'sand ballast'...).

      Yeah I think I'm quite luck being a regional pilot, it seems the regional flying is picking up a bit faster than domestic. I feel for the international guys! International flying is almost non existent in Australia at the moment!

      Railway station male toilets often went without a roof in Australia.

    • @blazertundra
      @blazertundra 3 года назад +1

      I thought that was a little odd. But I've lived my entire life in the USA so I assumed it must be an Australian thing to have some toilets without a roof. Making room for Waldo definitely makes more sense.
