    I bought an xt3 last year and got this lens with it as the usual 18-55 had been sold separately from the kit; got it at a discount too. So far....I like it!
    Really great review and equally great looking coffee too😋

    One way to think of it is that this lens is a hybrid between the 16-55 and the 80mm macro.

    I just got one to add to my 10-24 and 18-55 as well as the 50-140 zoom arsenal.

      have you tested it yet? I'm getting my xt3 in a week or so, wondering to get 18-55 or this 16-80 as a kit lens can you tell which one is better?

    • @BenjaminKanarek
      @BenjaminKanarek 3 года назад +2

      @@aviral1230 I just used the 16-80 for my last magazine fashion shoot. Used it for the video. Very good indeed.

      The 10-24 with the 16-80 gives you a pretty nifty travel set up. I love the Quality of the 50-140 but for extended travel and hiking I prefer the lighter lenses that are much more nimble. If I were a Professional and focused on Image Quality no doubt the 50-140 is the lenses. Another relatively light Telephoto is the 55-200.

    I got this lens used about 4 months ago for my X-T200. I was comparing it to the 18-135 and for me, it's proven to be a far better lens for general purpose and travel. Also... no manual coffee grinder?

    • @MihaiStrömpl
      @MihaiStrömpl  3 года назад +1

      That makes sense, a lot more focal range to cover up to 135. I think it's stretching it a bit at that point.
      And touché! Manual coffee grinder was the initial plan haha. And I did get one but it proved to be pretty much unusable so ended up with electric 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @YounanPhoto 2 года назад +1

      You should try and invest in a burr grinder I.e. without those blades. Makes a big difference 👍

    Your logic on achieving background blur, or more correctly known as subject isolation is incorrect. Achieving this is not about moving backwards at the point of the camera, it’s about the distances between the subject and background - so to achieve this in a portrait shoot, make sure that the distance between subject and background is greater, rather than shallower

    • @MihaiStrömpl
      @MihaiStrömpl  2 года назад +1

      What I meant is, you need to step a bit backwards in order to still have your whole subject fit in the frame when you're zoomed all the way in, and sometimes that's not physically possible. Otherwise yes, the smaller the distance between you and the subject and the bigger the distance between the subject and the background, the more blur indeed.

  • @LuminiousSky

    Are zooming still blurry??

    • @MihaiStrömpl
      @MihaiStrömpl  3 года назад +3

      Yep sadly no new firmware update or anything to fix that weirdness yet as far as I'm aware

    • @LuminiousSky
      @LuminiousSky 3 года назад +2

      @@MihaiStrömpl so they still have the wobbling blurry while you are zooming even in 2021 firmware ??

    • @MihaiStrömpl
      @MihaiStrömpl  3 года назад +2

      @@LuminiousSky Yes, the latest firmware for the 16-80 is 1.05 which I believe was released in June 2020. So nothing released recently. I heard there are some work-arounds people found for this issue but it really doesn't solve the issue for me. It's unfortunate because otherwise it's a really good lens.

    Недостатков для фото нет! А великолепный стабилизатор позволяет снимать на 16мм с выдержкой до 1,5sek! Если прижаться к теплой стенке и не дышать, не моргать и не шевелить ушами.
