Interesting the way they all pose and they have to have their hand on the horse. They have a no touching policy at Disneyland and this isn't Disneyland. These are military horses and military soldiers. They should have a no touching policy. Not that some of these people would listen.
Something i've noticed in these videos. Not one of the tourists thanks the Guard for allowing them to have a photo taken with him and his mount. It's clear that all these people think these Soldiers are paid actors like they'd find at Disneyland.
Actually they often do try to thank the guard but s/he is seated high up and frequently looking the other way, so the opportunity is lost. I’m perfectly sure the tourists here do NOT think the guards are paid actors just because they’re allowed to take photos next to them and pat the horse. They’re allowed to take photos next to policemen in uniform too, and next to Pearly Kings and Queens, none of whom are paid actors either. The difference lies in the fact that sightseers cannot talk to the guards or establish any kind of relationship with them. In fact, not talking to the guards is a form of respect as it’s well known they are on duty and shouldn’t be distracted.
That guy knew exactly what he was doing, the rules are simple and clear to anyone, all know that the reins are for guiding the horse and him grabbing them was no mistake . He had a smirk on his face when walking back and the guy with them spoke english and said reins so he knew. Why not rope off the area with lazer light beams about 4 feet high going from one pole to another and put up sign do not cross beam. This way the horses can move out without disturbing anything. Did I hear the police officer say to the friend: can you translate for me? Really they need a pictorial sign that needs no words to get the message across. And once again the horse comes in last with a yank on the bit.
@tricia4900 Actually, it's not obvious at all. Not to someone without horse knowledge. The guy made a mistake, it's really that simple. He's learned his lesson and probably won't do it again. There should be a paint line around the guard's area that says do not cross. The line itself is a universal sign that this area is marked off for a reason. There should also be signs saying don't approach the horses. If everyone else isn't getting close then people that don't speak the language usually aren't going to do it either. You really don't need to be right up next to them to get a picture with them anyway.
@@thelnepoet1 Good ideas all. It is really not rocket science. A red paint line, maybe police posted for a period of time to get people used to the idea of staying out of the zone. Eventually it will become common knowledge and obvious to stay back.

Nor do they equate the suicidal grabbing of the steering wheel of a car in motion with posing for a photo while holding of a bit of leather dangling from a stationary horse. Never mind. It’s not that important in the general scheme of things and I’m very sure the MOD and VisitBritain can manage their affairs very well without our comments from the sidelines.
That was the most dangerous one I've seen so far. He not only grabbed the reins, but it looked like he was trying to lead the horse out of the box as well. That was blatant AF
These horses have much more patience than ours. One should occasionally step on a tourist's foot to keep them in line.
Given their constant exposure to the public I would expect them to be acclimated. I believe the police have over 100 that interface with the public as mounted police.
why don't you go & let one stand on your foot, see how it would feel, why do you people want to do harm to others you do know don't you, what goes around, comes around, some people are too stupid for words, sometimes! 😮
@patriciadavis2506 Talk about stupid. This paragraph looks like it was written by a 5 year old. Incorrect spelling, grammar, and punctuation. You're a bright one, aren't you?🙄
Yes I did see another video where a lady had her foot trodden on and another lady had her ponytail yanked.
I felt a certain sense of Schadenfreude. 😅
I’m sure the tourists bring a lot of money. Let them ignore the sign and or think the rules don’t apply to them.
I could not believe what I saw the tourist do!! Hats off to the guard and police officer!! Both handled the tourist very appropriately!! I do not understand why tourist can not leave these magnificent, sweet horses alone !!
Yes, that was a very forceful grab at those reins!
It's very rude and disrespectful to touch the King's guard and never grab the King's horse reins. This is not Disneyland, people need to respect the King's guards, they were trained VERY HARD at the army like my brothers. DON'T TOUCH THEM AGAIN!!! Just respect them please and stay aside to take a picture.
@@samuelleblanc1525thing is how's he supposed to know though? They let people come up and mess with the horse, giving the impression it's all fine. You can see how tourists can get confused. They're not all going out trying to be offensive, they're just doing what everyone else is. Just ban anyone touching them and it'd be fine. Horse would probably be a lot happier too.
The sign says don't touch the reigns@@85parrot
@@ecm958 A lot of tourists forget to bring their brains - this is the closest many have been to a live horse, and some, I fear, imagine they just huge toys.
Well done Trooper!
They would no more grab the lead of a stranger's dog, why would they do that to an animal much bigger than they are? Not only that even feeling the pull he didn't let go till the guard charged him. What an idiot.....who did he think he was? Some big man in front of his 'mates'.
All those people and nobody bothers to thank the guards. The guards are doing a job, they are not there for photo props. I loved the little boys at the end. They kept a safe distance. I bet their parents are proud of them.
Pip Pip guardsman!! Forceful and no messing!!!
The offensive tourists always look like they're gobsmacked after they've been corrected. I hope it cures him of his ignorance.
Some smile very large and do it again. When they smile after getting yelled at, with never an apology.
I don't think this guy was offensive, he looked baffled - he clearly didn't speak English and was just copying what he saw other people doing. He wasn't trying to be difficult like some are. They just need to blanket ban touching the horse and then no one's going to get it wrong by accident. Those that then do can get the good yelling at they deserve
God Bless the horse and the man who patiently sits there with him🙏🏼🙏🏼☀️
Well done guard !!
Interesting the way they all pose and they have to have their hand on the horse. They have a no touching policy at Disneyland and this isn't Disneyland. These are military horses and military soldiers. They should have a no touching policy. Not that some of these people would listen.
Bravo horseman. Protect your horse.
It’s so nice to see certain people be in the moment and take a natural photo, instead of pretending to be a cover model! Too much time on Instagram!
Well done guard💖 and Policeman💖
Something i've noticed in these videos. Not one of the tourists thanks the Guard for allowing them to have a photo taken with him and his mount.
It's clear that all these people think these Soldiers are paid actors like they'd find at Disneyland.
I've seen a couple of very polite Americans thanking the guard.
Even if they were actors in Disneyland, what about a thank you to them. It's a complete lack of RESPECT.
I just commented about this. So rude.
That guy knew exactly what he was doing, the rules are simple and clear to anyone, all know that the reins are for guiding the horse and him grabbing them was no mistake . He had a smirk on his face when walking back and the guy with them spoke english and said reins so he knew. The Police need to start fining or arresting anyone now who grabs the reins chain or bridle area. The sooner that happens the sooner the word gets out and less will try it. Mind you there will always be the ENTITLED who will try because as we know rules don't apply to them.
Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘💖💖💖💖
Ignorance is bliss
Tourists should not be allowed anywhere near the Queen's Guards & horses!! They should be required to stay behind a fence, where the guards & their horses are not put in danger!! This makes me sick!! The public cannot be trusted to behave appropriately, apparently, under any circumstance!! Pathetic!! Shameful!! 🇺🇸
It takes 1 person to break the rules-everybody will follow! The Guardsmen was too kind. To grab the reins of his horse indicates- “a power play” they guy is lucky not to have been touched by his saber! Great job Guardsmen 🇬🇧
Had the very great pleasure in seeing the horse stand on the foot of some over familiar idiot a few years ago. I think the trooper and his mount enjoyed it as much as I did.
👍👍🤣
No one has the manners to say Thanks or Thank You to the Guard riding the horse.....Amazing tolerance by the horse I think. Dont know anything regards horses but.... Laurie NZ
I love how the police comes to check when a guard shouts 😊. so much for the new sign
Right! Part of me wonders if some of these global tourists don’t know the word “reins” and many likely have zero horse knowledge
There is one in every crowd who thinks the rules don't apply to them
No, unfortunately, these days in every crowd there’s more than one
In the USA, there's an entire Republican Party full of them.
I like the tourists that stand a respectful distance away
Yes! Good on him. It's ridiculous not being able to shout. Unfortunately it's needed.
Gorgeous horse, must be very difficult for the horses and guards to constantly be touched by tourists.
Clearly Yellowstone Park is not the only place where Tourons gather. 😳🥺
He looked visibly shaken ! Good.
👍
I don't understand why they have to touch the horse let alone grab the reigns if that horse gets spooked it won't only hurt himself and the guard but also the public.
Please show some respect for the horse and guard they are working after all.
Respect to the guard and horse you do an amazing job.
~ I'm a proud warhorse damn you! Stop treating me like your Christmas puppy.
(I don't bite the little tourists. They're mostly bones anyway. Anybody near my head height is fair game if I'm in the mood.) ~
Teach horses to nip them...they back off when horses start doing that.
What a lovely natured horse ❤
About time the guards shouted again!
Why on earth are these people allowed to even touch the Kings horses? There should be a barrier 2 meters away.
I live in Italy & in my opinion tourism destroys everything.
I am in awe of these gorgeous horses and the guards so calm.
Horse Guards originally formed the entrance to the Palace of Whitehall and later St James's Palace; for that reason it is still ceremonially defended by the King's Life Guard.
Nice shout out by the Guard & well done to the police.
The Royal Guards are a professional group. A truly class act. Semper Fidelis from Texas!
Oh, that poor horse, that must have hurt him .
Pathetic
That horse was getting quite distressed.
Love this gaurd.he takes know messing ❤
This horse loved the dad and little daughters gentle touch. ❤. I miss my horses so much and I miss the Queen. I wonder how many of these horses knew her, or she knew. She was wonderful with her creatures.
Every time I see video's like this I wonder what happened to respect?
Leave the horse alone , he's working . How would these people like to have someone touching them all day while their working . Stand against the wall and have your picture taken , nothing more . Bless that horse and rider for putting up with these people all day .
God Bless the Guard and the horse for their immeasurable patience 🐎 🙌 🙏
It is such a pity that people can't read.........I think they are testing the guard......
I do too.
Those poor little girls were scared when the guard yelled at that inconsiderate man. They couldn't get to Mom fast enough. Bless their hearts.
Petition.
Should the 2 on-duty mounted horse guards be issued with truncheons for use against any who touch their person or mount (especially the reins)?
Their patience and discipline is inspirational.
Oh to be able to give a poke with the sword!
Great Guard….🇺🇸
Very patient Royal Guards, lovely horses. Tourists are annoying. The horse must be exhausted after being touched, tugged at, etc. Plus all the smells and noise.
7:49 is the massive shout and charge! Much RESPECT to that King's Guard, however I think this man has no idea what he did, until someone came out and explained it to his group. Then again, grown folks should not feel the need to touch anything!
It was hardly a charge
Thanks for posting the time of the event. People really need to learn how to edit videos no need to post a 10 minute video when what you’re wanting to show is in the last 2 minutes.
Poor man and horse have a hard nerve wracking job !!!
Why not rope off the area with lazer light beams about 4 feet high going from one pole to another and put up sign do not cross beam. This way the horses can move out without disturbing anything. People can still cross in front of horses without being able to touch them. By the way, all of you Guards do an amazing job! So proud to see you able to stand up to these ridiculous tourists. I love it when you shout at them! They deserve it! Keep up the good work.
Did I hear the police officer say to the friend: can you translate for me? Really they need a pictorial sign that needs no words to get the message across. And once again the horse comes in last with a yank on the bit.
I was watching this live today, and yes the MOD policeman did get the friend to translate..
Erm...its OBVIOUS you dont touch the reigns so dont blame it on not understanding English
@cynn3367 Exactly.
Eventually, it'd be less stressful on the guards and the horses and way safer for the tourists.
Horses, even well trained/mannered ones, can have off days just like us.
7:51 oh that poor little girl in the pink shorts got scared so bad. Bless her
People forget the guards and their horses are trained militia and have rights to react to being touched or bothered while on guard duty. Plus, there's a sign.
I want to know how the Guards walk in those boots. They look really uncomfortable. Props to our King's Guards for the great job they and their horses do.
How do they not understand this is not a petting zoo?
Like yeah I like what are they thinking oh my goodness you know I'm sure wherever we live around this world we can go out for a drive and find a field of horses and we wait at a fence maybe with an apple maybe we don't but you know you drive by and you love them you do not need to go into like this and these are not horses in a pasture these are guard horses oh my goodness and you know what when you're going to travel you think you would like you know know something about the customs of where you're going to like I I don't understand these kinds of ridiculous ignorant people
You have to have confidence approaching these beautiful horses.
If you notice the nervous holiday makers leave the horse skittish.
You can imagine the Guards every day before they go out ... " Oh well, here we go again, how many annoying a******** today ? " 😊
I've said this time and again they need symbols not words. A big horse with a circle and a cross line says no touch.
Most ignoramuses would still grab the reins. You can't fix stupid.
Beautiful, stunning horses.
The way the horse was staring at the little girl at 3:17 was so cute!
The King’s Guard in this clip shouldn’t have
2 put up with rude and ignorant tourists
pulling his horse’s reins!!! Go home if u can’t
respect British culture or traditions.
Glad to see that there's now some tall police officers on duty who can handle the situation properly and look like they know what they're doing. Nice quite word in the mans ear. Job well done.
Be respectful and careful!😊
Maybe the guards feel like using their sword on people, too!
Completely agree with you!!.
I believe everyone there was, or could have been, in danger. Excellent policing, guarding, AND camera work. MUCH RESPECT. To me, the visitors in question looked covertly armed and military as Hxll.
Just because you can't read the sign is no excuse for the poor behaviors!
Apparently, none of them can read the sign that says don’t touch the reins!
You don't need a language to express RESPECT. You do however need to engage your brain and show some common sense.
I love how the horse knows the difference between the police and other guards and the idiot tourists. smart animal. Just love the dirty look the fool in white t-shirt gives the guard after being yelled at for grabbing the reins. WHAT A FOOL
I just love the tourist reactions around the ferocious, man eating horse
What's needed is another sign informing people to read the other sign.
👍🤣🤣🤣
The more and more I watch these videos, the more I realise this is likely the last times this duty will be performed. If in 3 years this is still going as is, if at all. I will be very surprised.
As an American I would say it was probably an American
Eerst weet deze toerist zogenaamd niks😢.
Komt de politieagent dan begrijp ze het opeens.
Spreken ze wel Engels.
Well said 🎉
