I can't understand why the parents or teacher whoever was with that kid didn't stop her, she was daring the guard. These people think this is a game, it isn't, the guards have a very important job to do and their neck will be on the line if the horse reacted badly toward her. I think a good telling off is in order here. Made me angry to see the guard having to shout like that.😮
The gaurds have plenty of back-up support, police always nearby and other soldiers on hand (in khaki's). The guards will use their judgement as to whether a quiet word or full yell is appropriate for the situation. It would seem that the latter was necessary in this situation. The police will move someone on if they are being a nuisance.
She wasn't a KID she appeared to be a Teenager and most of them appear to be brainless, arrogant and entitled. At least the ones who come forward to be photographed do.
These people never learn do they? Like these guys are on duty even if they are standing still they’re doing their jobs and the horses as well, to come and act as if they’re statues or something and don’t expect them to shout...? Like be grateful they shouted before the horse acted up. Respect to these men and their horses, the amount of patience they have is amazing.
It will all have to be fenced off before a horse gets hurt. The general public on the whole have no idea how difficult it is to control My husband was a life guard in the 60’s and would not recognise the modern day chaos!. Absolutely crazy for all involved.
I can't understand the need for some people to touch a horse. Yes, it is a horse, but a horse in the service of the state and the King. A guard on a horse is one who performs his duty. Many people do not understand this detail, they even make fun of it. I have been working with horses for almost 40 years. I know from experience that it is mentally and physically very difficult for a horse and a man to stand in one place. The guard must also make sure that no incident occurs and that no one is injured. I hope people can read because it is clearly written: "Beware Horses may kick or bite! Thank you" Greetings from Croatia.
I agree that these horses should NOT be touched when they are on duty. It is great fun to pet a horse -- I rode show-jumping horses for decades, so I understand wanting to -- but these horses are working, they are on duty, and should NOT be touched. What is even worse -- and I have seen this twice in Los Angeles when I used to live there - is people walking up to pet a seeing-eye dog guiding a blind person. Terrible! That dog needs full concentration to guide a blind person along a busy street. Some people have NO brains!
Why all the hatred against people touching horses? For some of the horses, it breaks up the monotony of guard duty. Some horses actively seek out to be touched while on duty. Even police horses you can go up and touch if you ask the police officers and they are on duty too. I worked with horses for years and had my own at one stage (some of the horses were cavalry blacks in the Army). There is a lot of unfriendliness to people within the equestrian community. Horses are beautiful animals that not everyone has the pleasure of being around so of course some will want to touch them. People can get snobbish about this sort of thing. Not one cavalryman ever complained to me about people touching their horses while on duty either (i have known and worked with a few). Yes they have to stay vigilant and tell people to get back if they feel they need to. Remember animals are healing and interacting with them is part of our healing. There are people who would have been so low one day and touching one of the horses may have picked that person up to go on for another day. Look at it from a compassionate perspective for horse and human.
@@sommesoul33 Horses are easily spooked, and tourists should not be constantly handling them. Most horses prefer to be petted on their neck or shoulder, not on their face and especially NOT on their nose, yet ignorant tourists constantly pet them on their face and their sensitive noses. @@sommesoul33 There’s a video of that horse and guard on the same day with a little boy holding the horse’s face and kissing him. It’s the sweetest video. The horse was loving it. I just worry that poor young girl is being vilified when there’s no proof of a prior incident and it seems to me she was taking direction from her father to stand there again. She was talking to someone and called him “Daddy” and was by the wall, not touching the horse. Young people have a hard enough time these days being bullied by their peers, especially on social media. I feel bad that adults are assuming the worst about her behaviour when we don’t have the facts. Other people were walking up petting the horse two and three times. The guard looked irritated, maybe sitting there for too long without a break. The little girl might have just startled him the way she appeared by the wall quickly. In the other video with the little boy kissing the horse, the guard appeared much calmer.
The guards must get irritated having to put up with being treated like either a petting zoo or photo op! They have such alot of training they go through just to deal with this but still do their job. I wouldn't last a day in their place!

I honestly don't see what the girl was doing wrong; she wasn't touching the horse or too close to it. I can only guess that the guard could feel the horse was starting to get uneasy, and told her to get away for her own safety!
I suspect that we cannot see what happened, off-camera, before she approached, perhaps she was dancing/jumping about for the camera and the Trooper was anticipating a potential problem for his mount??
They stay on guard for one hour then rotate- I don’t know if they run the two horse mounts at the east and west entrances anymore, but for sure they have the one. That guard 💂♂️ made a big mistake he used the horse 🐎 as weapon, that is very dangerous and unnecessary in that case, the guard 💂♂️ spurred the horse 🐎 to do something very wrong and dangerous, that is called handling and teaching the horse 🐎 bad behaviour. people really act like they've never seen a horse before in their life. if you want to go pet a horse, please go to a stable that's open to the public or find a horse owner who's willing to let you pet them. don't go on and harass a working military horse. take the picture, move on
The third quarter has just rung. That means that preparations for the Changing of the Guard are about to take place. The area where the girl stood will need to be kept clear for the Change. Unless this girl had previously caused a problem, the upcoming Guard Change is the only reason I can think of for the Guard to order her to get back. However her conduct after the command was given is atrocious. If she had moved to the other side of the Sentry Post, she may have been ok. She did, however, position herself very close to the horse when she first approached, and she has long hair like a horse's tail.

I ❤ the nose and lips of horses. They are so soft and flexible.
I think the guard on the horse said get back to the girl because they change guards and horses when the bell rings. 😊
Why dont the public respect these lovely guards an their lovely horses there doing a professional job at the end of the day🐴💕
I think it’s looong overdue for the horses to be placed where the public Cannot keep touching them ,pulling on the reins, bridles. It’s stressful and must make them nervy.
I noticed the bells ringing just before he yelled at the girl. Maybe it means changing of the guard and he needs the immediate area around him to be clear?
That was my thought.
Doesn’t seem like it to me
I don't think so. The police officers clear the place before the Guards change, and the doors are opened a few minutes before as well
@@heikerosenau1520 Correct.
@@heikerosenau1520 The signal is the bell. If you watch, you will see many horses begin to become restless when they hear the bell. They have more sense than some of the gawkers do.
Should have used his sword how those troopers put up with all them idiots is amazing
Yeah, off with her head! 😂
Handsome young Soldier. She was probably disrespectful before. Show some Respect towards the Kings Guards. I have seen this Guard before very professional and don't take any Crap from anyone.
The horse was getting stressed… you can see the guard watching his horse and the horses reactions
It will all have to be fenced off before a horse gets hurt. The general public on the whole have no idea how difficult it is to control My husband was a life guard in the 60’s and would not recognise the modern day chaos!. Absolutely crazy for all involved.
Can't be fenced off as that negates their mobility. But touching the animals should be prohibited - not a petting zoo!
Well done guard. 😊
Thank you"
Greetings from Croatia.
It is NOT "snobbish" -- it is common sense and safety around an easily-spooked animals. [I used to ride show-jumpers in my youth and middle-aged years while living in California,]
@@cathynewyork7918 i am an experienced horse woman so i know what horses are like but most of these horses like interacting with the public. It is part of their job if done safely. I have never had any issues patting a horse on their head, muzzle or face. Cleaning their eyes and ears etc. Some horses enjoy having their muzzle rubbed and kissed etc. A lot thrive on affection and will stand for hours getting it even though they can move away.
I like this guard. He tells them straight
INSANE GIRL MOVED BACK! (THREE TIMES)😂
The guards must get irritated having to put up with being treated like either a petting zoo or photo op! They have such alot of training they go through just to deal with this but still do their job. I wouldn't last a day in their place!
I would not want to piss any one of them off. From what I read, those dude are real bad asses. I salute you.

The trooper probably felt the horses reaction to the girl.
Just watched this again. The policeman said right that's it. Anyone else quick. The bell sounded for the change of guard. The girl didn't listen and crept in too late. The quite rightly shouted Get Back. She ignored that as well Twice. No w ok wonder the guard was quite rightly annoyed.
I believe the bells that rang just before signal the hourly change of guards. The guards all yell in that military manner to be heard as they have a huge responsibility. She should have listened the first time and moved away.
Respect❤️💂
She evidently was up to no good!
What evidence are you talking about? Did you see anything happening before this video? I doubt it. Then, don't say that she 'evidently was up to no good'! It's so easy for people to become so judgemental!🤦♀

Granted, most of them are not the most experienced riders in the world (yet), but many people here treat these troopers as if they didn't know the first thing about horses, which is not correct.
Troopers spend their days with these animals, they are professionals. Whereas their critics seem to be mostly 12 year olds spending their time on RUclips... I'll take the troopers' experience over their critics' anytime.

What happened?? The shouting came totally unexpected.Maybe the girl did something nasty towards the guard before the video started 😯
Or maybe she she did something or tried something earlier to the horse in which case what he did was nothing compared to what I would have done😊

Swords are good but they can't reasonably be used , maybe they should substitute their swords with cattle prods.
Anyone "smart" enough to get too close gets a good tasing to the buttocks
I honestly don't see what the girl was doing wrong; she wasn't touching the horse or too close to it. I can only guess that the guard could feel the horse was starting to get uneasy, and told her to get away for her own safety!
I suspect that we cannot see what happened, off-camera, before she approached, perhaps she was dancing/jumping about for the camera and the Trooper was anticipating a potential problem for his mount??

That guard 💂♂️ made a big mistake he used the horse 🐎 as weapon, that is very dangerous and unnecessary in that case, the guard 💂♂️ spurred the horse 🐎 to do something very wrong and dangerous, that is called handling and teaching the horse 🐎 bad behaviour.
The girl was doing something bad, really... the Guardsman was approached by a police officer. As the video cut off the officer said 'hey lady'
