So sad the horses are treated with such disrespect. These tourists are only interested in using the horse (and guard) as a prop for their photos.....they (99% of them) have no real interest in either. It's just me, me, me!! You can see the horses getting annoyed and frustrated by this constant touching without any feeling behind it. I know my horses would have no patience after a while of this thoughtless, selfish, non-interaction.

They motion or present themselves as all knowing, because, well you know they rode a pony once when they were a child. Or the usual that they knew someone that owned horses and now they know everything about them. I know, most people love to see them, but it’s just the silliness and crowding around them that make me crazy! The other thing is these parents holding their babies so close to the horse or making the child put out their hand,so irresponsible! My horses are gentle giants, but they are still spirited beasts and I know you know well that things can happen suddenly to set them off.

It us a public highway owned by the council so not allowed to have any obstructions. Great idea, but so incredibly sad that people can't have enough common sense and/or respect to know better without them. I feel for you guards that have to endure then endless stream of what is nothing short of stupidity & bad manners. I'd be on the short end of my rope having to deal with it for sure. Fortunately ,as of a within a couple of weeks ago, they have gone from this to no touching the horse signs and lined off the door area. Quite a few tourists are not getting the idea that these are serving members of British army and they nor the animals are Disneyland props. Some are respectful but on the other hand some people get their jollies out getting a rise out of the guards.
