I'm sorry I don't see the attraction, its a guard on a horse, take a photo of them w/o you and keep walking. Taking a photo of the horse and the guard is the same as saying you were there. Yes, changing of the guards is something to witness but come on, these people act like the horse will produce miracles if they touch them.
I think its disrespectful of the horse to have to stand in its own crap.

The guards are saying anything they allow the idiots to touch the horses. By touching the horses so much, they become agitated and restless.
I feel sorry for the horses

I would say 99.9% of the tourists don’t know that Horse Guards sit on the grounds of Henry VIII’s Whitehall Palace. The Banqueting House across the street is all that remains. Of course, Horse Guards were started there to guard the palace.

I always wonder where are the Police when so many folks touching the horses at the same time. It does annoy me when they keep touching the horses, and the horses become so annoyed and agitated. The Police should be at the gates with the guards

There should be a 12 foot circle around the Mounted guards, where people have to wait in line left and right for their foros. Not RUNNING, SCREAMING ETC IN FRONT OF THE HORSES AND THE GUARDS.
And anyone who cant behave - out.

It’s worse this year. New signs and new tourist training. DO NOT TOUCH THE HORSE. Sign on both sides of horse box. Tourists need training with the signs and a Guard saying “don’t touch”

There should be a 10 ft. Perimeter taped off around the horse positions. Thete is no reason that tourists should be allowed to come up to touching distance.

If the public are a nuisance, why not fence an area away from the guard and horse ? I do believe the intelligent horses like the interaction with most people to stop the boredom ! As long as they’re respectful, not overly unintrusive and mindful.

People need to be reminded this is a working military maybe needs a bright sign for ignorant people to be reminded not for your pleasure. Maybe even a white line to keep them from getting too close to the horses.
