Did he seriously just say man wasn’t ever supposed to take another man’s life? The irony..
The stupid man was narrating how the murderer was struggling for 60 seconds before he died and the correction officer looking on.
What the deluded man did not describe is how the victims writhed in pain in their dying moment or how the victims' families have struggled for 35 years to live with the painful memories
What ever happened to firing squads!?!?

A lot of innocent people have been released from prison after spending decades behind bars. For crime they never did. But an execution cannot be reversed. I wonder how many innocent people have already been executed.
Probably like 40
Nowhere near the number of innocent citizens minding their own business.
Most people executed have confessed to the crime. 99% of these crimes involve multiple murders and not just car theft or something like that......The few that haven't confessed basically have to be found with blood on their hands after killing someone and many witnesses saw them do it ( not just one witness)........DNA of a prisoner on multiple peoples clothing he/she has killed over the years also makes things pretty obvious and there must be proof they were in the area when someone was killed........But no, you won't be executed if just one person claims to have seen you at a crime scene.
@@ellobo1326 innocent people who are wrongly convicted are innocent citizens who were minding their own business.

Why nitrogen? Why not carbon monoxide?
Nitrogen is painless, like just going to sleep.
Carbon monoxide doesn’t strictly speaking asphyxiate or suffocate. It’s more of a poison. And there are various characteristic symptoms, it’s not a particularly pleasant way to die.
Nitrogen hypoxia is apparently pretty quick and painless, there is no feeling of suffocation.
Carbon monoxide is flammable and too dangerous to use.
Nitrogen is much safer for the bystanders.
CO can be harmful to people in the surrounding area than nitrogen which is already 78% of the atmosphere.
There is a lot of info on death by nitrogen. Totally painless
Why should we be so concerned about this? Did he make sure his victim died painlessly? There is a lot to be said for the Old Testament reference, An eye for an eye.

He said he’s terrified…..
35 years this monster sat there? she was dead.
Since air is 78% nitrogen, this might take awhile.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
You need oxygen mixed with the nitrogen to survive. 100% nitrogen gas means no oxygen and without oxygen you lose consciousness and die pretty quickly. I don’t agree with the assessment that it will be “painless” considering we don’t actually know that though.
everyone should be able to access dying with nitrogen gas it's painless

why is the protocol redacted? its not a national secret, its not hard to figure out either.
Death by suffocation?
No, by hypoxia.
man even the devil did not want him.
I thought if you survive an execution you were free to go or at least live life in prison. Man they really want this guy dead.
Naw, it's 'Bama. Good O'le boys.
I don't remember the State , but a man convicted of murdering a store clerk during a robbery was scheduled to die in the electric chair . Well , they closed the switch on the condemned man three times , but there was no power . The man's attorney , who witnessed the whole thing , gasped with delight at the failed third try , because by law , he knew that they had to commute his client's sentence to life . A couple of weeks later , another man confessed to the crime , and he was a dead ringer for the convicted man - who incidentally had no criminal record . It turns out that an innocent man would have been executed had the executioners been able to get the electric chair to work . The real killer was not sentenced to death for the original murder .
And the crazy part is he was hired. So why he getting so much heat? Oh yes because he's brown and the woman was white
@@ac61900 was the murdered woman's pastor husband that orchestrated and hired the murderers sentenced to death?

Basically, Smith filed a lawsuit asking to be put to death using nitrogen instead of lethal injection.. He actually was then brought into the execution chamber to receive lethal injection but they couldn’t find a vein that they could insert the needle into.

This should be considered double jeopardy… if you try a person they found not guilty u can’t try them again….. in this case he shouldn’t have his life taken away after the first try… it should be life in prison.
Why would anyone want to live the rest of their life behind bars? If you’re saying to show mercy then doing so is the complete opposite of that.
