    They've approved nitrogen for execution in 3 States in the US., and they're working out the kinks in how to carry it out. I think I read that some inmates in Alabama are already requesting that method of execution. They apparently still offer the gas chamber in my State. I don't care how one's executed as long as they are. I don't like the fact that many inmates are being housed and fed by tax payers' dollars, either because of life sentences in the US, or because they sit on death row for decades, repeatedly appealing due to bogus reasons. Their victims didn't have a chance to appeal to their perpetrators before their lives were taken. A relative of mine told me that her belief is that someone should be put to death in the same manner in which they killed. That may not be a bad idea to let the murderer know what the victim was put through. It's good to be able to forgive the murderer, but it shouldn't change the fact that they should reap the consequences of their actions...and, in my view, that being the death penalty.

    If you did it correctly then hanging is very humane, Albert Pierpoint took 7seconds from the time of walking the condemned into the gallows to the time of death. (Time of trapdoor drop) he had a 0% botch rate.

    • @mikeabba1990
      @mikeabba1990 2 года назад

      I've read up on this and trapdoor hanging isn't as swift and successful as people think. The cause of death from a successful hanging is a break in the second vertebrae which severs the spinal cord and causes death instantaneously. It's called "The hangman's fracture". A 'study' was carried out on about 30 condemned (can't remember where or exactly how many, but I'm in the area) after they'd been hung to see exactly what the cause of death was. Of the 30 only 2 died from the hangman's fracture, the rest died in a few different ways, strangulation in most cases. Where and how the rope is positioned is supposed to guarantee the hangman's fracture but apparently not. Truth, the truth!

    Hear me out.
    Create an airtight sealed chamber. Hooked to that chamber would be an industrial vacuum unit attached to the chamber via a series of one way valves, call it 7.
    Make the inside of the chamber as comfortable as possible. Perhaps like a bed or cocoon.
    The condemned would be fixed with instruments to measure sleep and life signs. Once they are confirmed to work, the condemned would be administered a heavy sedative capable of putting them to sleep with drink of their choice (up to and including everclear). place them within, instructing the condemned to go to sleep (Jeff the killer?). Once they fall into a deep sleep as confirmed by the instruments, the chamber is to be converted to a complete vacuum over the span of between 45 and 90 second. With the oxygen gone, the unconscious condemned would die in their sleep.
    Thoughts?

    • @B-MoreCity
      @B-MoreCity 3 года назад +1

      Hmm....That actually works better. 🤔

    • @kitsunekierein7253
      @kitsunekierein7253 3 года назад

      Since sedative overdose isnt really of consequence given the circumstances, you can Tailor the dose to the condemned individually. Once the process is perfected, a man can be condemned to die in their sleep. As long as the sedatives are powerful enough, the person would not wake when the vacuum was created.
      I am in no way defending the ethical nature of capital punishment. However, we seem to be determined to continue to execute criminals, we have a moral duty to do it in as humane and ethical as possible. I do not claim this as the best idea, but rather that we should be trying to either make the practice ethical or to stop it altogether. Since the latter seems impossible, I have proposed a solution for the former.

It's bound to happen as long as a country moves forward. Therefore, trying to keep it intact is practically the same as wanting your country to remain backwards for as long as possible. Why would anyone want that?

    I don't understand why they just don't use nitrogen. Just flood the chamber with N2, while draining the air. It is lights out in seconds.
    In places where liquid nitrogen is used, there are often O2 monitors, warning you as the O2 level is too low, because nitrogen kills you without warning.
