- River levels in Brazil are going up after intense flooding in the southern part of the country. Around 150 people have been killed and half a million have been forced to leave their homes, shining a devastating spotlight on the rise of climate migration around the world.

The movie Children of Men and the director's commentary touched on this 25 years ago. Experts have discussed this ad nauseum. In a few short years your country, city, and states will look different demographically because people, due to climate disasters will be on the move. The reckoning is truly at hand.
that movie had nothing to do with climate disasters.

half the state is underwater, and over 150 people died. Do you want them to check?
And last year a lot of them already lost everything to another big flood.
While they were still recovering, this year they were hit by an even worse disaster.
You can't expect people to wait to see if they will be hit a third time next year and lose everything again.
We need more lockdowns. I suggest two lockdowns per year. A week in midsummer and a week in midwinter. the only problem is that incidents like this are soon forgotten and normal competitive over consumption resumes. We need to slow down.
