Great video sir, nice pob! I was building one and come over to check ideas and your pob is just perfect man thank you very much! What do you think about "Split Arrow of Splitting" for clear maps w/o chain?
Thank you so much for your kind words! I don't like to put in transfigured gems for league starter type videos because they might be unobtainable or people would think they need them etc... I would have to test it out, the amount of projectiles, splits, how much do those splits do in regards to damage etc. So far, from testing a little bit, split arrow lv 20/20% quality and chain is plenty powerful to clean maps, especially with "popcorn pops" from bleed.
@@heavyheals Your channel is fantastic man, I'm from Brazil and I had the opportunity to discover your work with this video, I subscribed right away, congratulations on the content. And thank you for responding so quickly, I tested leveling in ssf three times, I'll start testing with your early game recommendations.
I used transfigured split arrow in SSF. With average gear it's around 15% more bleed DPS as far as i remember. You will still need a support gem for clear though, or lioneye's vision If you want to go maximum damage on split arrow.
this would definitely be a good thing to test. I was wondering about split arrow of splitting, but as i haven't tried it yet, i didn't want to recommend it. Thanks for the insight!
i like how you made the guide, alot detailed explanations and inetactions/mecanic like ensaring arrow. Very begginer friendly. But there are a few mistakes i need to cover :x Since i pushed this build once to its limit (with champion swap), leaguestarted it last league and going to leaguestart it again in 3.24 with multiple practiseruns (with 1 full eater/exarch run), i really need to give some advice here: rushing to fury bolts is okay, but i´d rather not take them if you want to start split arrow. theese 2 points will take a while to unspec and do nothing for bleed. precise technique also does nothing for bleeds. in some cases it can even reduce your damage. take your act 3 or 4 pob for example and remove the keystone. at the avatar of the hunt cluster, dont take the right nodes and go left instead. attackspeed does nothing for bleeds. i think you are trying to get some hit damage before getting a higher bleed chance, but split arrow is just the wrong skill for this. but then you took deadly draw for over time damage too. this doesn't make much sense sir. also, please dont take seasoned swordplay for the stance reservation. that cluster is ass :D If you go for challenger charges 1st lab you priorite speed, then i recommend also taking graceful assault for the 45% inc onslaught on kill. instead of the 3 seasoned swordplay nodes for example. i personally will take challenger charges 1st aswell, but im lvling with LA and muled manaforged galvanic/blast rain from a friend until a 4L split arrow + puncture snipe, which should be somewhere at the middle of act4. Here comes the Big one: Taking challenger charges 1st brings up another problem with your pathing: you are going to run around with 65% bleed chance on your split arrow until lvl 2nd lab. It's kinda fine after getting chain, but this can take until the end of act 4, sometimes even act5 if you are unlucky with colours. this part, paired with ZERO life nodes at act5, will make a really miserable experience man. According to your gems in act5, you even still use mirage archer. how are you supposed to kill anything with mirage archer and 65% bleed chance? :x At least use brutality. or deadly aliments if you for whatever reason not decide to take the 1 point life + mana leech node. And please, dont recommend a T0 unique which isnt even good for the build. Far shot does nothing and Hits can't be evaded is 1 passive point. The by far most important stat is base physical damage on a weapon. Grab a Citadel Bow, it drops at lvl 58+ or even buy it from vendor when he has one -> alteration spam it until you get a flat phys roll, try to aim for like at least t5 -> vendor recepie it to T2 flat phys ( Weapon with added phys + granite flask + orb of augmentation). T2 is max, you cant recepie to T1. -> augment it for a suffix -> Regal orb to rare -> craft the highest Inc Phys on it, best case you can afford an exalt and craft 100-129%. You will end up with a bow that has basicly the same damage as lioneyes glare and it will provide enough damage for killing eater/exarch.
Thank you for your input! As this is a beginner type of video, seasoned players will always find some new things to add and i respect that a lot, however, as i have been lurking around some streams and looking at what new players are doing, most players are struggling with basics of the skills and items more than with the gems, re-speccing etc. I have as well played this build for practice runs and i still do, need to finish the acts 6-10 tomorrow and the damage doesn't seem to be lacking anywhere. Fury bolts is taken early because the build starts lacking strength at around act 2 and only at around act 3 i went with the left side to get bloodletting. The strength is used either for cruelty, chance to bleed support or for preparation for auras. For those 2 points to unspec, you just need to do fetid pool and you get free 2 respec points. For precise technique, as this is a beginner guide, i have found that it is overall a damage increase, as most bows drop with added elemental damage. That's why there is the +100 accuracy per green socket on bow node, to supplement it so the precise technique works better. With added cruelty, the hit on puncture is indeed higher and bleed does more damage. At around act 6, the accuracy starts dropping, just in time to get RT. For avatar of the hunt, i took the right side because of phasing mostly, but attack speed helps with stopping, shooting and then again walking, but i see your point. For deadly draw, i took that one as it helps with the puncture bleed, and for the mastery and accuracy, which later gets refunded. I can see how seasoned swordplay can be a bad cluster, although it allows for more "free mana" for the build to use and not chug mana pots as much. Later on it will help to squeeze in another aura, for me that's a plus. In regards to getting a friend to "leech" skill gems, i think that that standpoint is completely wrong, and as with any game, you start it off solo and have a friend ease your way in. This build guide is made for people to learn, not to speed run with a friend. They wouldn't understand anything then. In regards to the big one: For the damage... As a player who has played this build throughout campaign and tested multiple routes, and then confirming while watching what new players to, the best way is to grab as much raw damage on a bow as possible. It has happened to me personally, that i do not even get a 4link until middle of act 5 or sometimes throughout act 5 as well. No life nodes aren't too big of a problem, unless you're rushing into everything. When i played slower a few times, i didn't even feel the need to have the life nodes, although i would agree, having life nodes earlier could help a lot if someone is struggling, fair point there. Once i started rushing, that's when life nodes started to matter a lot more, which you can see on the vod from yesterday (i died quite a few times :D ). Mirage archer does help with damage a lot, you'd be surprised :D Especially if the bow has a lot of flat elemental damage, that's why i didn't go for brutality. New players will go for bigger number=more damage, and i adapted the build around that as well. In regards to your last part... That "T0" unique has a divination card which drops a lot of lioneyes items, which are also needed for many builds, especially at league start, which means there will be a lot of unique bows as well on the market in the first few days. What you recommended to be done instead, from a standpoint of a new or a beginner player makes no sense at all, because those players are learning the game and you cannot push that much info on them at once, it will overwhelm them. However, i disagree that Lioneye's glare is not good for the build. It is quite good up until you can afford better gear and at the end the weapon swap. For a 20-30c unique, you stop worrying for 1 item for a while. This build guide will have revisions, based on how it goes for the league start, but i will focus on the beginner standpoint and not make it too complex too early. Once again, thank you for your insight!
oh thanks for your reply! dont worry about fury bolts, theese are probably just preference and i can see running into str issues before pathing to the left. a newer player would start to panic if he cant lvl it up, even if a few delayed support level are very minor. i would just recommend skilling into a more clear direction. going pure over time nodes with avatar, heavy + deadly draw and farsight will start feeling like a dot build very early. grabbing bravery, thick skin & golems blood after along with +50 life and 100acc per green masteries are very point efficient too. afterwards you can path to bloodletting through the left exactly at lvl 33 for lab. In this case i would also recommend taking the bleed ascendency node first, but like i said, preference. You can even skip farsight and thick skin and go for bloodletting first, it will start feeling better a few lvl earlier. I mean you can try it if you havent yet, im just very confident that it will play better. This direction thingy or more like overall gameplay applies to challenger charges too while not taking graceful assault. either make it a clear campaign glascannon zoomer or go the safer route with consitent bleeds and early survivability via life nodes. Less confusion and ppl that follow the guide know what to expect when saying stuff like "you are going to be very fast" or "you should have no trouble at any point in the campain" didnt mean to recommend muling or smth, just meant that i start hitbased too but with a skill that fits better i dont underestimate mirage archer by any means, but the archer has 40-31% less damage with the skills he is using. this is not going to be enough to kill something and you can only apply 1 bleed at a time anyway, so it doesnt really help on single target either. i think the archer at this point for bleed is just not worth using. the lioneyes.. i mean, yes, you can use it. its not terrible or smth. but it litterally takes 2 minutes to explain how to get the exact same bow just with less base aps in act 10 for probably 5-10c. Weapons are the most important for (the usual) attack builds, it has such a high priority. If there is a way to obtain one so early and "free", i think it should be at least mentioned and explained in a node section instead of talking about a t0 unique :x anyway, thats it. just trying to help, i have alot respect for ppl that take on a casual/beginner audience. I'm just an impatient d*** who knows some stuff about the game/build LOL
Keep in mind that beginner players do things very, very slowly. It might also be easier to follow another one of my guides ( ruclips.net/video/VxjmG1hT62U/видео.html ) which explains chaos orb recipe and them saving enough chaos orbs to get ANY decent bow. Lioneye's being T0 doesn't mean it is "unobtainable", especially in the trade economy. It is very much so obtainable right when you start maps (as you can start farming chaos orb recipe from act 9 effectively). Thank you again for your feedback!
Also, i've had multiple experiences with people that have told me it takes them more than 15 hours to finish the campaign, another hour or two to farm chaos orbs via recipes is not going to hurt in the long run, so they might as well grab the easiest option, which is Lioneye's Glare.
Yes! I will update my builds depending on the changes in the patch notes/patches. However, due to me using "general items" and not anything special from "league content" (like double fractures and haunted modifiers from necropolis), my builds are pretty universal, which means you can use them in any league or standard and they will work without problems! (Unless they make major changes that is, then those will be noted!)
most likely! I will not promise anything as this patch brought out A LOT of changes and it will depend on the POB creators to update the POB with things. This is going to be a very, very big patch! Hop by the streams if you got any additional questions, i still have to go through all the patch notes
Thank you for the kind comment! If you go with masterful form, then the tree changes to go more towards ranger and the frenzy charges there. What you would also need is the belt "olesya's delight" which then gives you affliction charges and headpiece "Usurper's penance", which gives additional frenzy charge and more damage with bleeding. Personally, as it is a theory for now, i want to see how the build will go and as you can see with the "endgame goals (theory)" section in my POB, we are already bleed dot capped (~35.6M per second) on single target, so i see no point there to use those items for now. I would rather focus on defensive aspect more than wasting currency where we cannot get more damage due to cap However, with those items i listed, you can swap to raider (and get 5th asc "rupturing"), and that's my next build going to be!
for POB, i have sorted it out in multiple ways. "base" trees on skill tree go with "base" item set in items tab and with "base gems for maps" skill set. "Full" trees go with one another but added in "Yellow maps+" and "regular endgame" skill set. With that setup you shouldn't see any unreserved mana problems. For Auras: Determination, Pride, Flesh and Stone as your 3 base ones (keep in mind they do require mana reservation efficiency nodes on the tree to fit them in!), War banner and Herald of purity come later when you can fit in more reservation nodes or when you get more reservation on gear (chest piece with essence crafting gives mana reserv or searing/eter mods)
@@heavyheals ah thanks, found my mistake in pob. I have a follow-up though, what do you think about assailum helm? Imho its huge EV boost and bigger dmg than regular snipe support. Assailums typically are very cheap.
assailum was quite good back in the day, but nowadays, you really want that reservation efficiency on a rare helmet, especially with eater/searing mods, to fit in an additional aura. Combine that with the thought that we're already damage capped in the end-endgame (~100divs or less, time will tell), we cannot fit in more damage in the build, at least for single target. Also one more thing in mind, if you select "endgame (theory)" skills, gear and the tree, you will see malevolence as well as an aura. That one comes in once we get Aul's neck for pride costing 0 mana, and malevolence is another huge boost to damage
Tip for any console players (Ps5 here). Gladiator is not very popular so the gear available on trade isn’t the best. Its around 1% of playerbase if im not mistaken. In 3.22 i couldn't find a proper bow for weeks after league launch so i have crafted one by myself 😂
I do not know how it is for console sadly, but in general yes, gladiator isnt popular :/ Thankfullu crafting isnt too difficult and lioneye's glare is good as a start :D
Most likely yes, the bleed pops from the ascendancy should make it a breeze. Grab good ring anoints and it should serve well. I will play through as much content as possible on this build, there will be updates!
In theory it should be, but i do not want to say one thing and then it is wrong. It does reach bleed dot cap though. I will play with it as league starter, find out myself and update with more videos! You can always watch the streams here or on twitch.tv/heavyheals for updates :D
In the beginning, yes. Once you get the 30% of mana costs is paid in life and also the prefix crafted modifiers "non-channeling skills have -x to total mana cost", you won't need a mana flask anymore. If there is still a struggle for mana, you can always either put 1 passive point into mana leech or get a jewel with a prefix modifier "x% of Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Mana"
When it comes to survivability in maps, it really depends whether or not you're rushing. If You're not rushing as much, you can easily do a deathless campaign. In maps, the survivability should be generally good, but the new necropolis modifiers might change things around. In any case, i will start this and do updates over time. You can always see what i'm doing on streams as well :D
between 2 and 4M dps on single target, if you look at base gear with the lioneye's glare bow. All of the damage, and later on damage cap, come from upgrades. Upgrade path would be better gear, clusters and then at the end, bow. Lioneye's glare with ~480pdps is such a good item that anything under 600, 700pdps bow is a waste compared to the rest of the gear. Just upgrading the ring to have vulnerability adds quite a significant chunk!
This tells me that you haven't watched the video at all. If you did, you'd notice that this is an entry point and that i will make more videos to improve on the build.
@@heavyheals Title of the video is „BEGINNER FRIENDLY“ so you basically encourage people to start the league with an unfinished build. Don't you think they will stop playing before they get to yellow maps because they will die so many times in each map? This build has literally 0 defensives which is very bad for new players.
@@andrej8361 i do not expect a beginner player to get to yellow maps faster than i can do it and faster than i can put another video out to explain upgrades further etc. Beginner players take minimum 2 hours per act if not 3 or more. I did say i will post updates to the build. Also, with even worse gear than what i've posted, the gear worked in white maps quite easily, it's not as you portray it. And i also assume you did not even read the pob nor the items or anything what they say.
Thank you! The guide is intentionally made without gameplay so it would introduce beginner players to some new things (like POB). I however did not want to show the gameplay in maps as those are getting a HUGE change in necropolis and it wouldn't be a proper representation of the build and how it works. I'm just trying to bring things to beginner level as much as possible.
I have done questing mostly on this build and a few maps here and there. I believe it would be a bad representation of the build if i showed old league gameplay and calling it new league gameplay. There will be more videos about this build as it is my league starter as well. First update is first week :D

Any good leveling unique for the build? Rings, amulets, bows, quiver?
any standard items, goldrim, tabula, wanderlusts, le heup of all rings, karui ward/carnage heart amulet, any quiver/phys bow you can find and that's basically it
Great video sir, nice pob!

Your channel is fantastic man, I'm from Brazil and I had the opportunity to discover your work with this video, I subscribed right away, congratulations on the content. And thank you for responding so quickly, I tested leveling in ssf three times, I'll start testing with your early game recommendations.
@@JoaoVictor764 and thank you so much for watching so far as well! Good luck! :D
But there are a few mistakes i need to cover :x
Since i pushed this build once to its limit (with champion swap), leaguestarted it last league and going to leaguestart it again in 3.24 with multiple practiseruns (with 1 full eater/exarch run), i really need to give some advice here:
rushing to fury bolts is okay, but i´d rather not take them if you want to start split arrow. theese 2 points will take a while to unspec and do nothing for bleed.
precise technique also does nothing for bleeds. in some cases it can even reduce your damage. take your act 3 or 4 pob for example and remove the keystone.
at the avatar of the hunt cluster, dont take the right nodes and go left instead. attackspeed does nothing for bleeds.
i think you are trying to get some hit damage before getting a higher bleed chance, but split arrow is just the wrong skill for this. but then you took deadly draw for over time damage too. this doesn't make much sense sir.
also, please dont take seasoned swordplay for the stance reservation. that cluster is ass :D
If you go for challenger charges 1st lab you priorite speed, then i recommend also taking graceful assault for the 45% inc onslaught on kill. instead of the 3 seasoned swordplay nodes for example.
i personally will take challenger charges 1st aswell, but im lvling with LA and muled manaforged galvanic/blast rain from a friend until a 4L split arrow + puncture snipe, which should be somewhere at the middle of act4.
Here comes the Big one:
Taking challenger charges 1st brings up another problem with your pathing: you are going to run around with 65% bleed chance on your split arrow until lvl 2nd lab.
In regards to the big one:
For the damage...
Less confusion and ppl that follow the guide know what to expect when saying stuff like "you are going to be very fast" or "you should have no trouble at any point in the campain"
didnt mean to recommend muling or smth, just meant that i start hitbased too but with a skill that fits better
i dont underestimate mirage archer by any means, but the archer has 40-31% less damage with the skills he is using. this is not going to be enough to kill something and you can only apply 1 bleed at a time anyway, so it doesnt really help on single target either. i think the archer at this point for bleed is just not worth using.
the lioneyes.. i mean, yes, you can use it. its not terrible or smth. but it litterally takes 2 minutes to explain how to get the exact same bow just with less base aps in act 10 for probably 5-10c. Weapons are the most important for (the usual) attack builds, it has such a high priority. If there is a way to obtain one so early and "free", i think it should be at least mentioned and explained in a node section instead of talking about a t0 unique :x
anyway, thats it. just trying to help, i have alot respect for ppl that take on a casual/beginner audience.
Also, i've had multiple experiences with people that have told me it takes them more than 15 hours to finish the campaign, another hour or two to farm chaos orbs via recipes is not going to hurt in the long run, so they might as well grab the easiest option, which is Lioneye's Glare.
if in 3.25 bleed glad gets a buff, will this be updated?
Is this viable for the patch 3.25? if so please update and send PoB
unfortunately, it is not viable anymore. It lost ~50% of its damage and it needs way further testing, please refer to my pinned comment!
Hello. Can u make update for 3.25?
most likely! I will not promise anything as this patch brought out A LOT of changes and it will depend on the POB creators to update the POB with things. This is going to be a very, very big patch!
Hop by the streams if you got any additional questions, i still have to go through all the patch notes
Hey, man.Nice build and video. What do you think about setup with Ralakesh boots with 5th assendency Masterful form.
I would rather focus on defensive aspect more than wasting currency where we cannot get more damage due to cap
However, with those items i listed, you can swap to raider (and get 5th asc "rupturing"), and that's my next build going to be!
What is the aura setup? POB shows negative mana reserved but might be due to different setups in the gem tab.
for POB, i have sorted it out in multiple ways.
I do not know how it is for console sadly, but in general yes, gladiator isnt popular :/
Thankfullu crafting isnt too difficult and lioneye's glare is good as a start :D
Can this build capable of doing all content or is it's a mapper or bossing build?
With enough tweaking it should do most content, i will test it out and report my findings. For a league starter you need it to clear maps mainly!
Can this buils deal with high tier blight maps?
Most likely yes, the bleed pops from the ascendancy should make it a breeze. Grab good ring anoints and it should serve well.
I will play through as much content as possible on this build, there will be updates!
It is unethical to use mathil in your thumbnail
ALL HAIL THE LORD OF CLIMBING
FYI puncture with GMP=more dps than split arrow without
I wouldn't know that. That would require further testing. I like my split arrow with 10+ proj and chain haha

i love you bro
Is this endgame viable? Ubers too and everything
In theory it should be, but i do not want to say one thing and then it is wrong. It does reach bleed dot cap though.
I will play with it as league starter, find out myself and update with more videos!
You can always watch the streams here or on twitch.tv/heavyheals for updates :D
do we have to depend on mana flask?
In the beginning, yes. Once you get the 30% of mana costs is paid in life and also the prefix crafted modifiers "non-channeling skills have -x to total mana cost", you won't need a mana flask anymore. If there is still a struggle for mana, you can always either put 1 passive point into mana leech or get a jewel with a prefix modifier "x% of Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Mana"
How is the survivability? Will I die alot?
if you doo life based you and play carefuly, you can doo a zero death run campaing... Even maps can be realy smoth until tier 14+
When it comes to survivability in maps, it really depends whether or not you're rushing. If You're not rushing as much, you can easily do a deathless campaign.
In maps, the survivability should be generally good, but the new necropolis modifiers might change things around.
In any case, i will start this and do updates over time. You can always see what i'm doing on streams as well :D
ummmm did this just get mega buffed
I will have to see in detail, i am too excited to sleep but i have to... I havent done dissecting patch notes too... Will give an update in due time!
How is this budgetwise compared to TR Pathfinder?
I assume the budget will be lower as the popularity of Gladiator is not that high
how much dps are we looking at lvl 94 in red maps, about 4mil?
between 2 and 4M dps on single target, if you look at base gear with the lioneye's glare bow.
9.7k max phys hit with vaal MS disabled... this build is tanky like wet piece of paper
Good job on guide. But guide without gameplay...
Thank you! The guide is intentionally made without gameplay so it would introduce beginner players to some new things (like POB). I however did not want to show the gameplay in maps as those are getting a HUGE change in necropolis and it wouldn't be a proper representation of the build and how it works.
I have played this exact build on stream for the past week, questing and did a few maps. Don't want to burn myself out of the build too soon :D
You can always hop on the stream on twitch.tv/heavyheals or here on youtube if you want to see more, however, there will be build updates and full on guide when i'm done with the build, as i did before with my other guides! I'm just trying to bring things to beginner level as much as possible.
Start video with game play please...
I really dont know how this cant be obvious, I wanna see how the build plays, the guide is used to complement the gameplay...
I have done questing mostly on this build and a few maps here and there. I believe it would be a bad representation of the build if i showed old league gameplay and calling it new league gameplay.
There will be more videos about this build as it is my league starter as well. First update is first week :D
