If anyone is wanting to try this build, know this Scion is horrible to level. I did a lot of checking and Asmodues offers if followed a build capable of getting to maps in under 2:45. Worked wonders for me.
I'm relatively new; started this league for the first time. I did a splitting steel trickster; got it all bis and am doing quite well with it but I really wanted something tankier and found this concept. I've gone through about 10 videos on the subject and I have to say you are one of the best for a beginner to learn a bunch of new tech; thank you. Keep up the great work bro.

Thank you so much for this video. I cannot tell you how many others I have watched trying to understand the basic mechanics. The step by step explanation was very helpful. I know the game has been around for years, but I have just started. I played D3 for 8 years until D4 came out and was not impressed, too redundant and the end game system and crafting are lacking. So switched to POE in February, a lot more complex but more enjoyable. Again, thanks.
good video, just in case : armor dont have a celing, the 90% cap is not completly real, on bigger hit, your armor will have less efficiency (i don't have the number) but basically more armor is always good :)
As an armor stacker for the past few leagues, i'd like to point out that physical reduction overwhelm hurts a lot, and it can appear quite often on blue monsters. Also i'd like to point out, since armor stackers mainly gain damage from added flat lightning damage (wrath, smite aura) you can actually use any attack skill.
I had quit the league a week ago but this video is soo well made I am really tempted to dip toes again 👀. I was looking at attempting some T17s and i know armor stackers come out on top there
That’s the first time I’ve seen a PoE guide that tells what can destroy the entire build, other guides only tell in one phrase “Avoid X content, if you can”
I started with this build, and it got out of hand :D Now I have 2mil armour, 2x dreamfeather, sadly had to get rid gloves, and rage, I didn't like leech, it was to slow so now have 2k ES regen. Doriany's prototype kills you constantly in like a half a second, because you so fast you run into mobs with that mana lightning ring, or beams in betrayal, or in ultimatum some mobs! I could not level up more then 92 with Doriany's. So if you can afford charms with armour applies to fire cold and lightning, i have 4%(2+2), So from 2mil armour it gives 80k to protect me from elemental damage from hits, it also works with resistances 88% atm! So without molten shell and fortify, i can tank 50k+ elemental hits. With some physical conversion to elemental and chaos, same with physical hits! So only things kill me is uber bosses, like uber shaper balls, sirius degen pudles, but I did them all, most difficult fight probably uber uber elder!
Even with high aura effect, a level 1 Purity of Elements would still give ailment immunity without giving a lot of lightning resistance, just right click on the level up button and it will hide the levelling of the gem and lock it at level 1
jinxed juju imho is a better amulet then eternal strugle without aura effect. bare in mind juju also gives str dex and int, and you dont need culling. however 15% aura effect is pretty massive for the build
It is, imo, especially as big mobs can be very annoying, the 15% is the best as it gives more dps and we are well over the armour required to be insta capped. I’ll look more into it, but that was my train of thought
Thanks for the great video :). I have a question about the increase/more calculations at 17:06. You calculate that the "more" multiplier transforms the 200% increase to a 240% increase. But aren't "more" multipliers always separately calculated? So: 100 Evasion with 200% increase equals 300 evasion. And that 300 evasion is now multiplied by 1.2 from the 20% more multiplier, which equals 360 evasion, not 340.
really appreciate this video. I'm thinking about my next league start and if i'll have to use my current Trickster build to complete my atlas and farm currency for a transcendence armor stacker, or if i can league start on Scion. I'll try leveling a scion before league ends and put on the budget gear in a Simulacrum
I was able to farm drop alone worth 1 mirror + of course mf is better but thats not my playstyle. From drop alone i think i can go for this armour stack build

It's gonna take a lot of currencies to progress the build, if you want to move forward. I'm working on mine as well. I suggest that you consider farming for a mageblood as it is essential for this build. You're gonna have a much better time.
Sorry if you addressed this in the video, but how far into Delve do you think you could go with a semi budget setup like this? I could probably pretty easily put 150 or so divs into this build without having to sell any of my existing stuff and I'm currently at 850 depth. Is that about the limit of an Armour Stacker like this, or could I get a decent bit further without having to put several hundred divs into it?

Ive always wanted to do an armor stacker and this is the league to do it before we all are subjected to "Ruthless" league. Just to point out one thing however, the mana siphoners ring doesnt do damage when youre inside the ring. Youre safe while inside it, just smack them in their face.
Just copied build as a first time armor stacker. First of all, great video and appreciate the info! My thoughts: nowhere near 10 DIV for this build now (I'm at 50 and counting). You also need to account for the cost of 5 Ways as it is IMPOSSIBLE to level this build past 90. You get tickled with lightning DOT and you are dead. It is more common than I realized. Cannot delve more than 10 nodes without encountering. About 1 in 10 maps and happens about 3/30 times in a simulacrum from my limited testing. Also very fiddly, you'll want to craft your own clusters and that takes forever, but w/e ats are basically free in this league. Haven't really bossed on it but think that may be its niche for content that is guaranteed not to have lightning DOT.
I tried to warn you in the comment , I recommend you now read the comments first then build in the future on all build guides., and if unsure dont build it.

There is a reason to go over the 90% physical reduction purely for armour, as armour will only ever reduce the hit amount by the total amount of armour you have. So if you have 90% reduction at 20,000 armour and get hit for 30K, you will take 12,000 damage. Not 3000.
i didnt want to get into the mechanics of the armour, but once you reach a certain amount, any hit will be 90% reduced (unless i am mistaken), however, the goal of what i said was to explain that scaling more armour, which requires resources, is useless above a certain point, unless you are armour stacker, hence the reason nobody has millions of armour for the reason of having millions of armour, but i do understand it is confusing, ill keep in mind for the next guides, ty !!!
The physical reduction is not as constant as other types of resistance. The formula is as follows physical reduction = armour / (armour + 5* raw_damge) if you have 20,000 armour. You have physical reduction for each damage as follows. @1,000 raw_damge physical reduction = 20,000/(20,000 + 5 * 1000) = 80% @10,000 raw_damge physical reduction = 20,000/(20,000 + 5 * 10,000) = 28.5% @20,000 raw_damge physical reduction = 20,000/(20,000 + 5 * 20,000) = 16% 90% physical damage reduction shown in the toolbox is only equivalent to 200 damage, so if you only have 10,000 armor it's already 90%. @raw_damge = 200 ,armor = 10,000 physical reduction = 10,000/(10,000 + 5 * 200) = 90%
Bud, i just built this and it works. How do you handle the auras though, when you have to turn them on? Do you just manually swap 3 out to turn all 8 on? I cant find a comfortable way to handle this
@@AkshayKumarTK I figured it out. TLDR: You just gotta manually CHANGE your alt keybinds every death, and turn the other auras on. There just arent enough keybinds in POE for everything to be on the bar.
Amazing guide, just wanted to highlight 1 thing. Your flasks alone are worth 5 divs in this league. The jewels for your tree alone are more than the remaining 5 divs. So no way in hell is this a sub 10 divs build. That said, you COULD make something similar for 20-30 or so divs, which I'd easily consider super budget at this point of the league.
sure you're going to craft them but a bit of bad luck can draw a few divines, i'd say 1d for instill and 1d for alts if you want to settle on some mid mods@@lexnight8345
I was struggling with mana costs so badly until I figured out how the four linked boots are displayed in the pobb link...thought it was 2 sets of 2-links. Also casted cold snap manually for the same reason...my bad

Love the build so far, I was able to understand after a couple times of watching, that i will absolutely die to lightning damage and DoT. But i am struggling to get my fire and cold resistance up.... i have 81 cold due to purity of ice but only 15 fire. i dont know how you have 85 in both. Any ideas? (New info. this was posted before beating final kitava. resist now are -15 fire +54cold -150light)
ELEMENTALISTS LISTEN UP!!! I tried to make this work on the witch and about 200 divine later I could only comfortably reach about 500k armor.. It did not feel good at all! Additionally, "Iron Reflexes" is the lifeblood to this build and there is only 3 ways to get it: From the tree which is wayyyy too far away, from Skin of the lords and from a Precursor's Ring at max charges. This forces you to give up either a ring slot or body armor, if you give up body armor spot you have to completely re-think how to deal with enemy resistences (note: with Skin of the Lords I dropped 150K armor.. so basically bricked the build)... If you choose to run a Precursor's ring you're forced into using Ralakesh's Impatience in league 3.23.. so you give up a ring spot AND the boot spot.. All in all I came up short on damage and that was also with way weaker defense. I wouldn't waste the time on trying this with Elementalist.
I can't find any cluster jewel granting increase mana reservation efficiency on the trade site, do they even exist? Edit: nvm, found the searching for introspection, the cheapest is 200 div 😅
could check 1manaleft (connor converse), he should have a budget video in his list. In a nutshell though it's just getting the guaranteed uniques like mjolnir, and now with stuff like squire and the items for it cheaper, it's the goto this league.
From the POB it shows there is only 28 Unreserved Mana (2%), how can you pop the divine blessed Grace? How much % mana reserve do I need to be able to make it possible?
Why not trickster with werden of the maji and replica perfect form. You get insane armour and es values with this. It is also possible to play a dex, evasion, accuracy stacker this way abusing the untouched soul amulett (nobody uses) and dreamfeather instead of its replica gaining flat damage via stormrider boots and gaining increased dmg via obscurantis and so on. Felt better than armour stacker even tho you miss the extreme tankiness of aegis aurora (but i was tired of it anyway). The reason i stopped olaying it was lightning strike of arcing felt bad to use. It often vanished hitting terrain like small rocks. Went back to a disscharge build using replica farruls fur.
btw i got all items kinda for build around 25-30 div for som little extras but rings left should it be reduced mana or ''-nonchanneling skill mana cost'' by elreon helps too?like -6/7 or must be ''%5-6''@@mikoshomikoshi
@Mikoshi, a few question my dude: 1) Can I leaguestart with this? I can only afford the time for 1 char per season. 2) I am torn between boss rush, deep delve, essence/beast, uber exarch grinding. Can it do all to avoid boredom/repetition?
Question 1- no, but you can swap day 3-4 easily, will make a video for that 2- boss rush with armour stacker is no, I suggest simu, delve, if end game, t17 and Ubers, you can bosss rush but in terms of div, not good
just realise start of season this is alot more expensive at week 2/ 3 this is a 50 div budget build to make it feel good. , and this guide aint 10 divs either, just the melding are 3 to 4.5 divs and that 1 jewel, I should know I run this build 3 season in a row. and his version here cant clear wave 30, might go 28 iff your good at it. and you properly need level 96 before this even feels good, and dont skimp on flask like this dude this is where most your dmg comes from. I will tho recommend the build, but dont build it like this tbh, this is not the way, tree is little messed up with taking arcing, and he swapped over too soon with this caliber gear, to run 6 small whit this like less non aura. idk why tho and then he have all them 21 gems, forget about 10 divs. and to add to that this is also Build wrong. this build should have 90 all ress, not 88 and it uses smite not Vaal smite cause the dmg lower. and this neck also wrong, no non aura on it that is why this build run that neck in the first place, we run this neck not for the culling that a bonus, so run a juju or storm neck instead of this neck he uses, and again this is why no 90 all ress plus he switched to 6 small too soon, no only brutal gem also wagon, stats, we only use that for non aura, and other mods after his have zero non aura.
@@OOTheBlueAir hi, I did not say it can clear wave 30 simu. The build can work at 88 res, however the higher the better. For the amulet, you can, like I said in the video, go for either the 15% kill or amulet with increased aura effect. Melding changes prices depending on its rolls. I did not switch to soon, I’m showing what you need as minimum, no watcher, no forb flames was made on purpose to show that the build can function on a low budget, just not ideal. The only required gem at lvl 21 is purity of ice as I also explained. Finally, you talk about Vaal smite, for somebody who says he has played 3 times already, it is quite weird for you to not know that Vaal smite also has, smite. I use Vaal smite only when I see a big mob in the middle of others. Plz watch the video before going on a ramp, but the criticism will be noted, thx
one thing I would recommend is just using ruby rings to get more fire res. I noticed you had to pop your flask in hideout just to barely get to cap which is not ideal. there are things that can lower res or pen. also trying to roll more fire res on your clusters.
@@mikoshomikoshi think so yea, in the compendium he has a list of builds from more than just him too. He has a low budget one that also looks pretty much like a 10 div build. My guess he probably just didn't check the build list and just saw the mirror-tier builds that he did and rated at the top instead of checking the guide section below it as well as the doryani price sheets and tallies next to it.
nah the budget version just takes about 2-300 divs max, unless you can craft your own gears for cheap, if you remove MB and nimis it falls straight below 100d, and i'm working on that rn @@divinityai
We have Elemental Overload which makes us deal no critical damage then why are we running rhe Precision aura? Can someone explain me, and how it is improving our dps if we don't deal critical strikes and don't need accuracy rating?

Basics of armour: PoB can show you a 300k phys max hit and you still die to shaper slam (which does way less). Because armour is weird.

Armour is only for starters. You need physical conversion. I think you're good if you had at least 30% conversion to elemental.

Bone offering give you 16-17 free block and it pairs really well with the new automation gem

Edit: This was a good opportunity to learn about amour stacking, but I can't recommend this build. There is nothing fun about dying every 15 mins.
Ok final word, this build is bait. It is designed to make you die. Waste of about 9 hours and 70 DIV.

i didnt want to get into the mechanics of the armour, but once you reach a certain amount, any hit will be 90% reduced (unless i am mistaken), however, the goal of what i said was to explain that scaling more armour, which requires resources, is useless above a certain point, unless you are armour stacker, hence the reason nobody has millions of armour for the reason of having millions of armour, but i do understand it is confusing, ill keep in mind for the next guides, ty !!!
The physical reduction is not as constant as other types of resistance. The formula is as follows
physical reduction = armour / (armour + 5* raw_damge)
if you have 20,000 armour.
You have physical reduction for each damage as follows.
@1,000 raw_damge
physical reduction = 20,000/(20,000 + 5 * 1000) = 80%
@10,000 raw_damge
physical reduction = 20,000/(20,000 + 5 * 10,000) = 28.5%
@20,000 raw_damge
physical reduction = 20,000/(20,000 + 5 * 20,000) = 16%
90% physical damage reduction shown in the toolbox is only equivalent to 200 damage,
so if you only have 10,000 armor it's already 90%.
@raw_damge = 200 ,armor = 10,000
physical reduction = 10,000/(10,000 + 5 * 200) = 90%
Bud, i just built this and it works. How do you handle the auras though, when you have to turn them on? Do you just manually swap 3 out to turn all 8 on? I cant find a comfortable way to handle this

@@AkshayKumarTK I figured it out. TLDR: You just gotta manually CHANGE your alt keybinds every death, and turn the other auras on. There just arent enough keybinds in POE for everything to be on the bar.
Put a second weapon if you're not using the slot, amd put all of your auras on that action bar

Your flasks alone are worth 5 divs in this league. The jewels for your tree alone are more than the remaining 5 divs.
So no way in hell is this a sub 10 divs build.
That said, you COULD make something similar for 20-30 or so divs, which I'd easily consider super budget at this point of the league.
dude... those flasks... you don't buy them you craft them are pretty easy to do... ( people rip you off on flasks if you try to buy )

Love the build so far, I was able to understand after a couple times of watching, that i will absolutely die to lightning damage and DoT. But i am struggling to get my fire and cold resistance up.... i have 81 cold due to purity of ice but only 15 fire. i dont know how you have 85 in both. Any ideas? (New info. this was posted before beating final kitava. resist now are -15 fire +54cold -150light)

ELEMENTALISTS LISTEN UP!!! I tried to make this work on the witch and about 200 divine later I could only comfortably reach about 500k armor.. It did not feel good at all! Additionally, "Iron Reflexes" is the lifeblood to this build and there is only 3 ways to get it: From the tree which is wayyyy too far away, from Skin of the lords and from a Precursor's Ring at max charges. This forces you to give up either a ring slot or body armor, if you give up body armor spot you have to completely re-think how to deal with enemy resistences (note: with Skin of the Lords I dropped 150K armor.. so basically bricked the build)... If you choose to run a Precursor's ring you're forced into using Ralakesh's Impatience in league 3.23.. so you give up a ring spot AND the boot spot.. All in all I came up short on damage and that was also with way weaker defense. I wouldn't waste the time on trying this with Elementalist.
I can't find any cluster jewel granting increase mana reservation efficiency on the trade site, do they even exist?

could check 1manaleft (connor converse), he should have a budget video in his list. In a nutshell though it's just getting the guaranteed uniques like mjolnir, and now with stuff like squire and the items for it cheaper, it's the goto this league.

Why not trickster with werden of the maji and replica perfect form. You get insane armour and es values with this. It is also possible to play a dex, evasion, accuracy stacker this way abusing the untouched soul amulett (nobody uses) and dreamfeather instead of its replica gaining flat damage via stormrider boots and gaining increased dmg via obscurantis and so on. Felt better than armour stacker even tho you miss the extreme tankiness of aegis aurora (but i was tired of it anyway). The reason i stopped olaying it was lightning strike of arcing felt bad to use. It often vanished hitting terrain like small rocks. Went back to a disscharge build using replica farruls fur.
In terms of scaling armour is going to be simply better later on.

Yeah you can, you can also survive dot from Sirus, different setup however, and a lot more expensive

i see all the armour stacking videos but NONE of them show boss killing or even show how much armor they have.

2) I am torn between boss rush, deep delve, essence/beast, uber exarch grinding. Can it do all to avoid boredom/repetition?
Question 1- no, but you can swap day 3-4 easily, will make a video for that
2- boss rush with armour stacker is no, I suggest simu, delve, if end game, t17 and Ubers, you can bosss rush but in terms of div, not good
just realise start of season this is alot more expensive at week 2/ 3 this is a 50 div budget build to make it feel good.
, and this guide aint 10 divs either, just the melding are 3 to 4.5 divs and that 1 jewel, I should know I run this build 3 season in a row.
and his version here cant clear wave 30, might go 28 iff your good at it. and you properly need level 96 before this even feels good, and dont skimp on flask like this dude this is where most your dmg comes from. I will tho recommend the build, but dont build it like this tbh, this is not the way, tree is little messed up with taking arcing, and he swapped over too soon with this caliber gear, to run 6 small whit this like less non aura. idk why tho
and then he have all them 21 gems, forget about 10 divs.
and to add to that this is also Build wrong. this build should have 90 all ress, not 88 and it uses smite not Vaal smite cause the dmg lower. and this neck also wrong, no non aura on it that is why this build run that neck in the first place, we run this neck not for the culling that a bonus, so run a juju or storm neck instead of this neck he uses, and again this is why no 90 all ress plus he switched to 6 small too soon, no only
brutal gem also wagon, stats, we only use that for non aura, and other mods after his have zero non aura.
@@OOTheBlueAir hi, I did not say it can clear wave 30 simu. The build can work at 88 res, however the higher the better. For the amulet, you can, like I said in the video, go for either the 15% kill or amulet with increased aura effect. Melding changes prices depending on its rolls. I did not switch to soon, I’m showing what you need as minimum, no watcher, no forb flames was made on purpose to show that the build can function on a low budget, just not ideal. The only required gem at lvl 21 is purity of ice as I also explained. Finally, you talk about Vaal smite, for somebody who says he has played 3 times already, it is quite weird for you to not know that Vaal smite also has, smite. I use Vaal smite only when I see a big mob in the middle of others. Plz watch the video before going on a ramp, but the criticism will be noted, thx

one thing I would recommend is just using ruby rings to get more fire res. I noticed you had to pop your flask in hideout just to barely get to cap which is not ideal. there are things that can lower res or pen. also trying to roll more fire res on your clusters.

@@mikoshomikoshi think so yea, in the compendium he has a list of builds from more than just him too. He has a low budget one that also looks pretty much like a 10 div build. My guess he probably just didn't check the build list and just saw the mirror-tier builds that he did and rated at the top instead of checking the guide section below it as well as the doryani price sheets and tallies next to it.

We have Elemental Overload which makes us deal no critical damage then why are we running rhe Precision aura? Can someone explain me, and how it is improving our dps if we don't deal critical strikes and don't need accuracy rating?

Corrupted blood immunity on any jewel and pick up the mini pantheon to not take damage from bleeds while moving...forgot what it was called
