Thank you so much! I have been doing so much research trying to compare these with DZO's other lenses along with pairing the Catta with a speedbooster on my Komodo. Your the first video to talk about any of those things. Solid review.
Hey man great video. I just picked these up, do you use the speed booster on both lenses, the 35-70mm has a much more protruding rear element on and I am a bit concerned it will get scratched on my speed booster if I try it. The 70-135mm has no issues as the glass is recessed inside.
Very nice shots in the kitchen, I really love the colour grading you did on this scene! It was well lit, exposed and your framing was on point. I recently got the 35-80 Catta zoom and the only thing that I don't like about this lens is the minimum focus distance. You have to be a bit far from your subject (or point of interest) to get close focus, which can be a big problem in a tight and small environment. Otherwise, I really think it's the best cine zoom lens in this price range. Keep up the good work!
I purchased the 35-80 a few months ago and I love it. I did notice how it gets pretty soft twords the long end of the focal length. Have you noticed anything like that on the 70-135?
I just have them in EF mount but the offer them in Lmount or at-least they did originally not sure if they still do but maybe you can get them used in Lmount or you could use and EF to L mount adapter..
I appreciate your reviews for the lens. Just one question which brand of the speed booster would you recommend for BMPCC 6K cameras if I pair DZOFILM catta zoom lens on them?
Thanks for watching! Speedbooster wise it just needs to have good glass in it.. so I wouldn’t go to cheap but sense you won’t need to ever have auto focus with these lenses you can get a really good speedbooster for pretty cheap

That’s great to hear! Let me know if you have any more questions about them and I’d be happy to try and help out!
