It's already the "commercial" Devo. They were doing their own thing before that, very raw, experimental punk rock stuff around 1974-1977 (Hardcore Devo compilation). The worst thing that ever happened to Devo was "Whip It" being such a big hit. So many people think they're oddball one-hit wonders, when it fact they're the owners of a ton of downright dirty rockin' punk gems.
