my silver jubilee was my second proper amp. i traded in a vox ac30 for it when they came out. it was the short head with the 2x12 slanted cab. still kicking myself that i sold them!!
Great clip as always Leon. This pedal sounds awesome. You made it sound better than I've ever made my Jube sound... I like most that there's no volume difference between the rhythm and lead sounds, unlike the actual amp... Cheers
Wow.. That pedal does sound like a Marshall a lot.. I love the Mid control and the bass control and how the latter doesn't hurt the tone no matter what setting it is on.. That would make a great blues pedal! Preamp pedal for sure! I love that old yellow strat too man.. What a great sounding guitar! Very cool brother.. Great pedal.. Great demo sir!
Oh your timing for ME and my morning coffee, was perfect! Now I know you care Leon🤣 this sounds really good. My one guitar mate just brought a jubilee stack...he swears it's his favourite for 70's hard rock.
Thats a great pedal i wish Sweetwater would carry that pedal, there is also another new pedal by Empress, the Menace its also incredible sounding it sold out quick ,Thanks Leon 😊🎸🎛🇺🇸
Pretty cool sound. The EQ section is pretty remarkable for a pedal. I wonder how it would sound through an IR pedal or plug in...say WoS? Perhaps a short? 🙂
Wow, that pedal rocks. Maybe it sounds even better than my Friedman BE-OD pedal. It totally has that Marshall vibe. I think the silver jubilee was one of the best amps Marshall made. The best JCM800 version at least. Great review.
I could not help but notice you can get the proverbial Slash like sounds but with a Strat the pedal let all that kind of Hendrix playing the Wind Cries Mary and Little Wing bell like chime come through. You could use it as a serious sounding low gain transparent Drive without compromise. It really can pass as if you owned two entirely different pedals. Add to that the price is just shy of being half the price of the Origin Revival Compact. It definitely is as good as anything the cork sniffers think is the best.
VS Audio pedals are excellent! Ive been getting all my Marshall style sounds from VSA Royal Flush and VSA Operation Trinity for years now. And now I'm after the Platinum, thank you very much for the demo! Does the Platinum stack well, too?
Its close....i think, i hav try it myself. Alexander pedal made a silver jub pedal too but the sound and the feel is different than the actual silver jub.
I thought John Frusciante uses the silver jubilee to get those Clean Tones? Does the marshall Silver Jubilee use a totally different EQ tone stack than the normal plexi or JCM800 marshall?
@@LeonTodd Others that use the Silver Jubilee amplifier said you have to use the master volume at 8 or the amplifier will sound very muddy and bassy. The whole design is completely different which I'm not sure if the silver jubilee guitar pedal master volume reacts the same way as the amplifier?
@@LeonTodd I’d love to hear you demo some of the old Gallien Krueger kit for Power Windows, Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son tones. 250ML/250RL, 2100SEL/2000CPL. Master Effects have a pedal called The Seventh Son which comes in both a vintage and modern version, unfortunately without the Chorus. I’m tempted to grab the modern as I already have a 250RL that I love.
Dude, I need this box! How many watts is it? Does it have a sweet spot? Is it transgender friendly? Would it go good with a Bud Light? Covid compatible? Can it get Eddy's "Smells like teen spirit" tone? Asking for a friend
My first "proper" amp was a Silver Jubilee when they first came out. Still got it. Had no idea how lucky I was at the time to get such a gem!

Very credible Jubilee tone. The Lifeson tones coming from a Strat were a delight. Nice one.
Sounds sick! You’re guitar playing is spot on. 🤘
0:00 Heals my soul. Pedal sounds great too.

This is the way
Well that sounds better than my actual old Jubilee…. Which I’ve never never managed to make sound good at all!
My fav amp next to the Engl fireball. I might pick one of these up if I can find it for a bit cheaper…
Would be nice to have different eq settings for lead and rhythm.
It sounds like a Jubilee with the Master Volume at noon. But a Jubilee with the master volume fully open is a different beast.
When I saw yes in '88, Trevor had a jubilee.
As a silver jubilee owner (100watt). I can say this is extremely close to the real deal.
I dig it man! Just one minor gripe. I wish it had a presence knob instead of a switch for more granular presence adjustments like the real amp.😊
Likewise, I generally prefer a dedicated knob for those things.
Do you have a video of you reviewing the real amp, the 2555X Reissue?
Jings ! That's a great pedal

Amazing Greek metal rock yeah!!!!
In your opinion which is better and more similiar to a Jubilee between this pedal and the Alexander Silver overdrive?
How does this stack up against the Alexander jubilee pedal
I assume the LEDs are super bright - the blutack isnt a factory fit option is it 🤣
Hahaha well spotted!
Any chance of doing a review of something like a BRBS amplification nightrain pedal?

Great review.
Yeah jubes have their own thing going on, super versatile.
Very nice

Yeah seriously impressed. They got the elusive "feel" right.

I'd probably place this after any other drives because that EQ is so "amp like"
ok, let me undertand, you run that pedal straight into your interface and it produces that sound? No Cab Sim no nothing in between?
Nice!

It’s totally different EQ-wise. It’s a bit of a strange one.
Different animal. Pretty unique compared to the typical Marshall thing

Love it when you bust out Rush tones!

Cheaper than buying a Jubilee..
