Vengeance is something that society needs from time to time if for no other purpose then to keep the rest of us sane. Vengeance keeps us sane.

An ideal justice system is one that a) prevents crime, b) prevents re-offending, and c) provides a sense of justice and compensation for victims. There is no evidence that the death penalty does any of these things.

Honestly, I don't really care what they say about this and that of death penalty, am just satisfied that execution means justice has been served to those who deserve it.
