I am a firm believer that art should be personally satisfying. If your little Rembrandt spoke to you then that's all that matters. Don't feel like you have to have approval from others. Certainly has an old world vibe to it!❤
Wonderful haul Hilary! You always find the best things. I loved everything: the sweater, the blue and white pieces, the vases.😍Your wild card is amazing!! He hangs in the National Gallery in Washington D.C. If you and your family ever go to Washington, you should pay him a visit. That's King Wladyslaw IV Vasa of Poland and he is clothed in elk skin.
I love the Polish nobleman! I have a Rembrandt print of a centurion that a dear friend watched me admire in an antique shop but couldn't afford the $15 decades ago. She secretly went back and bought it for me. Very special.
The portrait has a very dark academia feel to me. Would look great in a library or shelf with books and an old brass chamberstick in front. I love unique pieces.
The original of that Rembrandt is in The National Gallery of Art! They say, "The penetrating expression of A Polish Nobleman and the striking resemblance of the sitter’s features to Rembrandt’s, particularly in the area around the eyes and nose, make one wonder if this painting is not, in fact, a fanciful and liberally embellished self-portrait." Interesting!
The strawberry vases are darling and would make such cute lamps! My mom used to convert tins and vases into lamps all the time! As long as you love the portrait that’s all that matters 😊and gorgeous basket!!
Nice finds! Thanks for sharing. Someone mentioned that whisk works well for eggs, which it does; it's also great for sauces and puddings as it keeps the bottom of the bowl/pan scraped so nothing sticks/burns.
My husband calls anything framed that is a person instant relatives. So tell me…if I buy pretty dishes to throw junk and stuff in my kids will quit telling me I have a problem? I throw things in butter tubs, sour cream tubs and lids of various sizes. I might have a problem but it sounds like you just gave me a solution!!!:):):)
Nice haul as usual, you always find such unique pieces. I like the portrait, I think he should be in your gallery area of the stairs to the basement. I agree with other comments, make up a story and give him a name. I really like the nut cracker, my favorite of this haul.
I LOVE your Polish Nobleman. A random piece like that really livens things up and makes your style individual and unique. I live in an English terraced town cottage in Cornwall, which is down at the bottom end of the UK. It's very beaten up, tiny, nothing straight, beams on a low ceiling , long, thin space, I have a mish mash of things from Ikea to street finds but try to make it comfortable and a practical yet fun place to live. It's quite the challenge but it's just for me so I can do whatever I like, ha ha!
@@Anagrams458 Thank you, my favourite part atm is a fake rook (a black bird) that I have sitting on a real branch covered in moss and fire cones which is set across a small window. I have quite a few fake birds in unexpected places!
Love your haul! Glad you found a picture that spoke to you…always buy those pieces, especially if reasonably priced! It will be a great conversation piece and lovely accessory in your home. I’ve passed on pieces that spoke to me and when I went back they were gone! Enjoy your new found treasures!
Loooooove the basket, the pottery is so pretty, the painting definitely can fit in with your decor and I think the specific portrait is classic but the man quirky enough to be a REALLY fun surprise as guests go through your home and I’m sure he will make you smile when you pass during your day for years and years to come. Enjoy!
I work for an estate company and my best advice is to use the google lens feature on your phone to investigate pieces with missing or worn markings. You learn some amazing things!
What an amazing haul. I also love Delft and will pick it up whenever I see it. I do like your wildcard find. It's definitely English Country Manor style. I wish I could find the things you find in your thrift store in the thrift stores in my area. I thoroughly enjoy your videos thank you for sharing.
You always looks so lovely Hillary! That is quite the interesting portrait, I will say . Definitely the conversation starter ! Great buy on vases. Always good to have a "back up" in case one breaks? The basket with the handles with look so lovely iwth oversized flowers to one side.
The portrait some think it's Rembrandt himself lol. So cool. I love all of your finds ❤❤❤. The sweater would be cute over a delicate print button up shirt or white .
That was a steal for the pampered chef mix and scrape. You are getting ping to love it. I have had mine for almost 20 years. It is still going strong. It scrapes your bowl clean. The Rembrandt is definitely a wild card. 😁
I like the portrait a lot, but has autumn & winter vibes for me. Moody, darker colors. I'd pick a spot and have a floral ot landscape for spring/summer...then switch to dignitary for fall/winter.
I like the portrait and it will look perfect in your home, especially surrounded by all your decor. My feeling is that if the object "speaks" to you, purchase it. Trust your instinct.
I love the white strawberry decorated vases. I have that exact large planter. It was part of a set of three. My son and his wife gave them to me many years ago. I love them they are always in style
Love the portrait!! I would have paid $19 bucks for it! I do love a random portrait that brings individuality and character to a house!! I have a half bath where every wall is pretty much a gallery wall of random thrift portraits. Guests are always entertained by the 1/2 bath!😂
I am laughing so hard at your presentation of the portrait! 😂 That WAS a wild card! I was not expecting it... I am very curious to see how you use it... I never thought I would like something like that, but knowing you... You'll make it work and I'll have to go find a mustachioed-man portrait of my own! 😂
Love the portrait, my daughter who is about your age has a portrait in her home of a little Victorian girl, everyone notices her and compliments it… Hillary I swear I was in a antique store not even two hours ago and I saw a Ralph Lauren print framed, in a beautiful frame it was so you… I thought to myself Hillary would flip over this… I have been blessed by the thrifting gods this week, I made out like a bandit, three skirts with tags on from loft, and INC, softest material with the little floral flowers on two, and the third skirt was black with tiers of ruffles also Loft.. $4.79 each I am set for summer skirts now, have been collecting them all spring… I now own 6 of them …I am obsessed with wearing them..I also bought two designer silk scarves for the fall… Love all your thrifting finds, but madly in love with your new portrait
Hello from Poland😁! The Polish Nobleman, cool 😉😁. It may seem a little exotic for you. In our country such historical paintings are common in many places.
Great moustashe man painting...I would put it in basement barhroom and have a little shelf that displayed an old fashioned shaving lather brush, a moustashe comb and cup. Kind of "tongue in cheek" surprise.
I was astounded by a toddlers pair of nikes for 50.99 at a goodwill, I'm almost certain those could be bought at a store for the same price. We all donate to goodwill for all to buy when they need a bargain(I like a bargain also) and this place is marking donations up so the people who have a strict budget can't afford it.
One of the thrift shop chains near me here in central Pennsylvania is called Jubilee Ministries. Their “ministry” is helping released prisoners get back on their feet, nice idea. However, their prices are so high sometimes that I feel like saying, “How about making it affordable for those of us who have never committed a crime?😵💫😖. 😅😂🤣
That and the fact the ceo has a salary of over a million dollars. We do not shop or donate anymore to Goodwill. There are so many more thrifts that are not corporately owned.
Love that basket, the sweater, and the planter! Pampered Chef spatulas are the best! Personally, I don't care for the strawberry vases or the portrait, but I quite like the frame. I'll be interested in seeing how you style them. I love your thrift hauls!
You know, I actually like the dude! My taste runs to more "George Washington", "Abraham Lincolnish" style but the wild card would look good on perhaps a gallery wall. He is very old world. Love the sweater too. Thanks Hilary. xoxTX
So happy to see a video from you! Have been missing you and your sweet family, but glad you are getting to spend the summer loving on your kids, you won’t regret a moment! My children are now 33 and 30 and I have an almost 5 year old grandson. Spending time with them is the best!
I have all neutrals for my kitchen too I have had the pampered chef set since my son was in high school and I lived in California ( he will be 40) pampered chief does last forever) I stinking love the strawberry vases and like you I’m a blue and white person. The portrait is incredible you can rub and buff the frame a little. As for that handsome man it looks like Dan older with a very big mustache lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙋🏻♀️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 yes make center pieces with those beautiful vases/ oh and just teasing about Dan I LOVE THAT PORTRAIT! I would have paid 19.99 ❤
There’s appears to be a chip on the rim of the planter but it could be something on the video. You should check out the prices on that painting of the nobleman. I think it’s awful but those prices online are shocking. Some are in the $100s, some in the $1000s. 😮
Woohoo! Looking forward to your whole house declutter. That’s underway here, too. Motivate me, girl! Nice finds. I grew up with a nut cracking family, too- and a family of nuts, lol. Not sure I’d hang that Rembrandt in my home. His eyes look rather suspicious as does that medallion hanging from his uniform. Secret society member? 😂

The portrait is quirky looking. I like it! I have a similar basket which I use as a magazine rack. Love the blue and white planter.
The portrait has a very dark academia feel to me. Would look great in a library or shelf with books and an old brass chamberstick in front. I love unique pieces.
I have had that same pampered chef spatula for more than 10 years, and it's still going strong.
Mine is going on 8 :) such a sturdy tool
Same here!
Me to but I'm going on 14 years!!!
14 years as well!! So good.
I laughed so hard at the portrait - in a good way!! I love it's quirkiness. So good!
i'm looking forward to your decluttering vlog!

I recognize that blue and white bowl…several years ago it was sold with an amaryllis bulb. I had a couple of them.
That’s the kind of painting I’d hang in a library or over a desk ❤
Nice haul as usual, you always find such unique pieces. I like the portrait, I think he should be in your gallery area of the stairs to the basement. I agree with other comments, make up a story and give him a name. I really like the nut cracker, my favorite of this haul.
Your videos are always full of delightful inspiration looking forward to to next one and showing where you hang your Rembrandt dignitary. 😊

Your home sounds quaint and fun.
@@Anagrams458 Thank you, my favourite part atm is a fake rook (a black bird) that I have sitting on a real branch covered in moss and fire cones which is set across a small window. I have quite a few fake birds in unexpected places!
The portrait is definitely not something I would have gotten, but will look to see how you style it.
The basket and vases are lovely! The wild card ia so fun!!! It's really a great portrait!♡
Love the mock neck sweater top! Those are my go to during winter.
Love your finds Hilary. The sweater looks so cute on you ☺️. Enjoy your girls night 😁.
Thumbs up on everything, including the portrait!!!
I love Whimsy! Your portrait certainly is! Loved all your finds!!
Looking forward to the declutter. It will inspire me to do the same.
I think the portrait will look great and I like the frame too!
Great haul. Thanks for sharing, Hillary ❤
For sure keep the portrait!
Great finds. I’m looking forward to see how you style and use the new items.
I love the painting. So unique. 😊
The Polish nobleman will look great in your house. I think the frame suits the portrait. The vases are so lovely!
You are too cute!! Love all your finds, even the print! 😉
But that blue planter.. what a steal!!!!
Love your haul! Glad you found a picture that spoke to you…always buy those pieces, especially if reasonably priced! It will be a great conversation piece and lovely accessory in your home. I’ve passed on pieces that spoke to me and when I went back they were gone! Enjoy your new found treasures!
The whisk is great for beating eggs for scrambled eggs or French toast.
I love the quirky art! Such good character!
Loooooove the basket, the pottery is so pretty, the painting definitely can fit in with your decor and I think the specific portrait is classic but the man quirky enough to be a REALLY fun surprise as guests go through your home and I’m sure he will make you smile when you pass during your day for years and years to come. Love the wild card! 😀 Can't wait to see how you style all these lovely finds🤩
Mr. Tash has my vote!😄
I work for an estate company and my best advice is to use the google lens feature on your phone to investigate pieces with missing or worn markings. You learn some amazing things!
The delft style bowl would be perfect for forcing flower bulbs for different seasons...it could sit by from door or on center of dining table.
What an amazing haul. I also love Delft and will pick it up whenever I see it. I do like your wildcard find. It's definitely English Country Manor style. I wish I could find the things you find in your thrift store in the thrift stores in my area. I thoroughly enjoy your videos thank you for sharing.

Great finds, including portrait, Hillary! 👏 Thank you!
I have that whisk , sadly I discovered it while clearing out my late mother’s home.
I love the painting...
I love watching Margo Roth also! I love everything you got thrifting.
The portrait some think it's Rembrandt himself lol. So cool. I love all of your finds ❤❤❤. The sweater would be cute over a delicate print button up shirt or white .
I have that basket! Love what you shopped. That planter is fantastic.
LOVE that basket!
That was a steal for the pampered chef mix and scrape. You are getting ping to love it. I have had mine for almost 20 years. It is still going strong. It scrapes your bowl clean. The Rembrandt is definitely a wild card. 😁
Love the ceramics 🍓
I love the portrait.

Great content
Those vases are definitely very Margo. Love her channel and yours, obviously 😁 Never miss a video from either of you.
I love the white strawberry decorated vases. I have that exact large planter. It was part of a set of three. My son and his wife gave them to me many years ago. I love them they are always in style
I think $19.99 was a good price for the portrait. It's different. I love it.
Love everything. The picture is, in my opinion, kinda quirky. Love it.
Love the portrait, use some rub and buff to cover the frame.
I love the portrait! I would have bought it also😊
Love the pot!
AND that basket is amazing!
Love the strawberry vases! I need to do a whole house declutter as well. Looking forward to inspiration!
Love the portrait!! I would have paid $19 bucks for it! I do love a random portrait that brings individuality and character to a house!! I have a half bath where every wall is pretty much a gallery wall of random thrift portraits. Guests are always entertained by the 1/2 bath!😂
How fun! Such a great idea!
LOVE him!!
The portrait is my favorite of your finds. I’ve seen that Rembrandt portrait before. It will be great in your home!
Put both windmills together. So pretty.

Ohh. Love those strawberry vases!
The strawberry containers would be cute with hydrangeas!
Your last item, the wild card: instant relative!!! I like it. My first thought was, oh, Rembrandt! It's that style. Keep both vases as a matching set.
Rembrandts are my favorites. ❤
I can't say the nobleman appeals to me, but i like the sweater.
Hello from Poland😁! The Polish Nobleman, cool 😉😁. It may seem a little exotic for you. In our country such historical paintings are common in many places.
I would also keep it for the sake of the author himself. Classic.
I love the portrait of Mr. Mustache! I think the frame would look even better if you painted the trim black. And that basket is adorable! 😍
Great moustashe man painting...I would put it in basement barhroom and have a little shelf that displayed an old fashioned shaving lather brush, a moustashe comb and cup. Kind of "tongue in cheek" surprise.

Great haul!! I think you need to put the portrait in a place of honor and call him an ancestor!! You look darling in that sweater.
I saw the exact same strawberry cannister at my local thrift store last night. It was a tiny canister with a lid.
i have a whisk like that i use it all the time. i hope you like yours as much as i like mine...
I love everything you found! Blue and white is my favorite, and use it a lot in my decor.
Lol.. I think he’s great ❤
Have a great day Hillary .😀
Love that basket, the sweater, and the planter! Pampered Chef spatulas are the best! Personally, I don't care for the strawberry vases or the portrait, but I quite like the frame. I'll be interested in seeing how you style them. I love your thrift hauls!
Your haul is lovely, Hilary.🫶🏻
I like Raulph Lauren
I have a brass nutcracker that is a pair of legs. They were my grandmother’s. I crack up every time I see them. 🤭
You know, I actually like the dude! My taste runs to more "George Washington", "Abraham Lincolnish" style but the wild card would look good on perhaps a gallery wall. He is very old world. Love the sweater too. Thanks Hilary. xoxTX
I like the picture and would have purchased it if I had seen it.

Love all the blue and white pottery. The picture eh
Love your style! Maybe you could go over the sponge paint look on the portrait frame with rub n buff.
I have all neutrals for my kitchen too I have had the pampered chef set since my son was in high school and I lived in California ( he will be 40) pampered chief does last forever) I stinking love the strawberry vases and like you I’m a blue and white person. Hillary, I absolutely love the pieces you picked up, however, I love the portrait. STTB
Very cool finds!!!!
Hi I am native from the Netherlands and yes it’ a reproduction from Rembrandt and it,s well known and it’s beautifull an not to expensive
Absolutely love the basket, the handles and shape are really nice. The last painting reminds me of something Caroline Winkler would buy! Very unique!
Hilary I got my love for thrifting from you ❤
Love love love those vases!!!! 🥹❤️😍
