I enjoy seeing the items found in thrift stores from different parts of the country. I live in the Midwest. I have not seen much nautical or equestrian items. The joy of looking at a piece you found "thrifting" puts a smile on your face.
Oh my goodness, I have a glass pitcher that sounds like the one you broke. Mine is an old antique and I absolutely love it! They don’t make pitchers like that anymore ❤ I didn’t realize there were glasses that match! Now I will be looking for those! 😅
The ship print is absolutely lovely. It is so 'Old World'. 😊😊. I can't wait to see some flowers, perhaps Lily of the Valley in the vase finds. Thank you for sharing your finds. 🤗🤗
Oh Hillary, all your thrifted treasures, other purchases, and DIY projects, are turning your sweet house into the most warm, welcoming, adorable home! I simply love it all! Your humble joy in curating and creating is an inspirational blessing.
I remember when your pitcher broke. How exciting you found another piece! I found two of those faberware plates at my dump. I love them! My dump has two huge free rooms. We get furniture, housewares, clothing, toys, you name it! Love from Maine ❤
I could see you putting the beautiful ship picture over your mantel and accentuating it's flag detail with some of your additional Fourth of July flags to round it out. Perfect for summer!
I have the same set! It was the first nicer set my husband bought me when we got married and that was 30 yrs ago. It means so much to me . I hope you enjoy them Blessings to you
The little house glasses are International China and the pattern is called Heartland. I’ve always thought that pattern was very sweet. You got some great finds!
@@missylearned9821 Yes! Same here! Now I only have a large round platter that I have kept for the sentimental value. Grown children didn’t want the dishes or accessories (even had S&P shakers and a clock) so they were passed along to someone else who did. I have found in the downsizing process, that family members don’t always want to inherit our treasures. I keep one or two meaningful and functional pieces, and feel blessed to have loved them for a season, and allow them to be loved by someone else.
Those drinking glasses with the little houses on them are so incredibly sweet! Great find. I really love them! Just found your channel and subscribed. Love your content
Hilary, I’ve been following you for years (from your first house when you first had Lara) but don’t comment much. I am so happy when I see a new video each week. You are a breath of sunshine. Love your family and your taste in decor.
The gal who used to do the YT channel Farmhouse Vernacular loved restaurant ware / hotel ware: almost indestructible AND beautiful dish sets, designed for heavy use in restaurants and hotels. They were the go-to back in the day, long before plastics and Corelle. I had never heard of that category of dishes before, but she had some sets that she had gradually thrifted.
HI Hilary! Always LOVE your thrift hauls! Prices have not doubt gone up at thrift stores, but it's the thrill of the hunt that keeps us going back and it's still better than retail, don't you think? Also, thrifting is form of RECYLING, which is the best reason in my opinion.
OMG Hillary what treasures you found, the painting and the pillow is so perfect for your home, you had a lucky day. I’m so happy for you Loveeeeeeeee the pillow ❤️
My great grandmother gave me her entire set of the International China, Heartland. It really is a cute set! I have it put up but sometimes pull it out to use when I’m feeling nostalgic.
Hilary great finds. You always find the prettiest sets of dishes. Those dishes are so lovely and at a great price. I had a white square purse like the round one with blue flowered material inside back in the 70's. It was so cute. Take care. 💙🙏💙
Your enthusiasm is contagious and love the light in your face! Everything is wonderful. My Mother had the dishes that go with the glasses..Heartland?..and her friend was always trying to buy them from her. Saw a few pieces today at a thrift store. Enjoy !
Love all your awesome finds at great prices! I have been looking for dishes the like the ones you found and I saw one small floral serving bowl that I really loved . . . it was $45.00, yikes! To get all the beautiful dishes you found, half off, is amazing, so happy for you. I recently saw a floral table setting for six on Amazon for $399.00. Dear Hilary, I wish I could thrift with you one day, because you are one gifted shopper. Blessings!🌸🌺🌼❤
My Mom had the Heartland pattern dishes and so many pieces to go with it back in the 80’s. It’s such a sweet pattern. I love your new dishes, they are just lovely!
You found some great things! I would have needed to buy one or more of those white soup tureens at the start of the video. Usually the sugar bowl lid is the first thing I accidentally break and that set seems to have it so fingers crossed the pretty plates will be very durable. Getting new dishes is always fun. Thanks for the video!
❤ IT IS ALWAYS SUCH A PLEASURE TO WATCH A VIDEO FROM YOU !! YOU WERE SO FORTUNATE TO FIND SUCH LOVELY THINGS FOR YOUR HOME AND FAMILY !! THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US....GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR SWEET FAMILY !! 😊😊😊😊
Very successful thrifting! The artwork is beautiful and so nicely framed. It screams New England. I love those little rattan handbags also, so charming.
I know fiestaware can be pricey but when we were having constant chipping with the dishes we had gotten we decided to invest in fiestaware. It has been the best decision we've ever made with dishware. We bought them when our oldest two kids were very little and now we have four kids (our oldest is 20) and we've never had a chip. I think only one bowl got broken one time and that was because something heavy dropped on it. But they do not chip and they are durable and they are worth the money.
I saw a neat magazine article some years ago. On the dining room/kitchen wall was an entire set of skinny shelves from their buffet height up to the crown molding and it was FILLED with Fiesta ware in every piece and color. (I personally would have had only one or two colors but it fit their overall young, hipster multi color decor) The couple said that on their bridal registry, they asked for Fiesta ware: any piece, any color, vintage, older, new reproduction, etc. I thought that was a cool idea and they also said that since having kids,it holds up well and if one breaks,no big deal replacing it.🙌🏻
What a steal on the everyday stoneware I love that small floral pattern and love where you placed the vintage picture of the ship okay but that pillow 😯😯😯😯👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I recognised the star pattern on the glass straight away and remember how sad you were when your pitcher broke. Glad you found something in the same pattern 😊
Your thrift finds are always wonderful!! That RL style pillow is AMAZING!!! The dishes, beautiful! The rattan purse, oh so lovely!! I want to visit NJ just for your thrift stores! 😂
SCORE! I really like the round purse; liked the one you found a few months ago and then to find another one, how lucky. I can see why you fell head over heels for the RL pillow, it's so you and your style, beautiful addition to your home. An entire set of dishes for only $7.00 and then score for half off. You really did find some fantastic items on this thrift shop. Nicely done!
I was just thinking...hmm I haven't seen Hillary lately, and then I see your video in my notifications! I used to buy Farberware back in the in the day and I totally agree that the patterns are lovely and also very durable. The velvet pillow and the painting are really great finds. Have a lovely week!
Do you do lead testing on the dinnerware this time like you did with your blue and white set? After that video I tested my dishes and ended up having to get rid of my beautiful vintage colored Pyrex bowls! Sad but very grateful ( to you for bringing the issue to my notice) that I eliminated potential health hazard to my family.
Love that you always find great little treasures. But the equestrian pillow is swoon worthy!!!!! Worth every single penny and more! Yes, thrifting has gotten way more expensive. Its kind of a good thing, because I think twice before I make a purchase now.
The picture is from the 80’s and 90,s when starving artists sold a lot of their art sometimes at hotel ballrooms I had one very similar they were original oil paintings
Small flags would be pretty on the glass vase with the stars for Fourth of July decor!!
I just love the pillow the best thing you brought home
The little blue delft vase is a bulb forcer, I believe. You fill it with water and place a bulb - like a hyacinth bulb - in the top part. 😊
I enjoy seeing the items found in thrift stores from different parts of the country. I live in the Midwest. I have not seen much nautical or equestrian items.
The joy of looking at a piece you found "thrifting" puts a smile on your face.
When I married in 1989, we registered for the Heartland pattern for our everyday dishes. Loved it then and still love it today. Great finds!
Oh my goodness, I have a glass pitcher that sounds like the one you broke. Mine is an old antique and I absolutely love it! They don’t make pitchers like that anymore ❤
I didn’t realize there were glasses that match! Now I will be looking for those! 😅
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love the picture and pillow you bought.....great FINDS. Have a great week!
Thank you, you too!
The lovely flower set of dishes is a steal!!
The delft vase is made to put a bulb in to force it to bloom. Of course it also works as a flower vase too! Great finds! -- Mrs. N
Yes, I was thinking hyacinth bulbs.😊
Ahh that makes a lot of sense! I'll have to try that next winter
I was thinking avocado seed.😊
@@OldWorldHome pillow is fox hunting banned in england as sadistic fyi
@@seabreeze4559 FYI, no foxes were harmed in the making of this pillow.(or picture above the fireplace) 😖🙄

Your new everyday dishes are lovely and the extra dinner plates make them especially useful. Buy of the day for sure!
Oh Hillary, all your thrifted treasures, other purchases, and DIY projects, are turning your sweet house into the most warm, welcoming, adorable home! I simply love it all! Your humble joy in curating and creating is an inspirational blessing.
The pillow is fabulous! Great finds
I remember your star pitcher 😂
Those floral dishes are absolutely adorable! Amazing finds!
ahhhh I miss that pitcher!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh.....your new every day dishes are so pretty!!!! They'll match your home perfectly! You really got some great buys.
What a great haul! I love how your english country style is coming together piece by piece. That is what makes it so fun! Love the pillow!

Those were our everyday dishes when raising our family! 🥰
Those are from the late 1980s (I think). My sister in law had the entire set in her hutch.

I had the Heartland dishes, accessories, canisters, tea kettle for years and downsized about 10 years ago. We raised our family with them.
Great video
