If you come across any glass votive candle holders with melted candles in them~all you have to do is throw them in the freezer for about 8 hours and the wax will pop right out! Thank you for another great Goodwill shop!

My hubby chose to do the opposite and put them in the microwave....OMG. You don't want to know. Had to buy a new microwave. TIP: DON'T DO IT.

A week ago I found two full shelves of Staffordshire dogs and cat at my local thrift shop. I was shocked! I emptied those shelves, too.
I can’t go to a thrift store now without narrating my trip !! I need a shopping buddy so people won’t think I’m crazy( but I’m also a crazy lamp lady!)

Boomerangs can be worth something if you can identify the artist and that one was beautifully decorated.
I have the chicken Italian pottery pitcher that matches that bowl! It was my grandmother’s, and I have a newborn photo of me with that pitcher in the background! I’m 60!
That dark blue plastic roll used to be sold on QVC They are great I have 2 for crafting bits There are individual compartments and it rolls up a bit like an armadillo sealing each of the compartments

Those glasses you called tiara I believe were pioneer woman. Also months ago back in April I started watching your videos and at that time you said homer Laughlin was a good name to look for. I literally a week later found a homer Laughlin Brittany majestic creamer. When I opened my eBay business in Sept I listed it. It just sold!! I love watching you and I have learned a lot in a very short time by watching you daily.
I don’t think I can keep watching this channel. The things she finds, every single video, and the prices she gets them for just make me depressed 😂 I go to literally 6 different cities weekly to source for good items and she just finds them every single time!
Or you could end up with my “problem” of knowing I ALWAYS find amazing treasures at my 2 goodwills that are like 10 minutes apart... I can’t stop shopping :/ but I do list to resell about 98% of everything I buy. Just gotta wait to sell it all to make room for more lol I’m going to end up needing a storage unit for all my “inventory” 🤦♀️

you bring your little sizzers and snip any taped on lid for your own inspection. You are the buyer and have the right to see what your buying.. Love from Boston Ma.
I agree! I work at a thrift store and I always want people to open boxes and inspect the item before they buy it. I also make sure if they want anything electrical they test it before they pay.
The tape is to secure the top to the bottom of any loose pieces. When you cut the tape on and not take the item, you risk the next person not knowingly chipping, losing, or in some cases dropping the top since it is no longer secure. DO NOT CUT THE TAPE !! INSTEAD TAKE THE ITEM TO THE FRONT COUNTER AND ASK THE CLERK TO DO IT. Then it can be retaped in back. I am a former Goodwill Store Mgr and this is not acceptable. The items are taped for a reason and should be kept that way. Thank you !!

In the seventies us “hippies” used those wicker lamp shades for a grow light! Put plants in corner and hang from ceiling. Really perks up a dark corner!

My Goodwill has gotten SO EXPENSIVE, I could buy things in a normal STORE for less. I have stopped going. But I do go to a local thrift store to make up for it:)) Also Salvation Army on Wednesday's because everything except furniture is half-price.

Have you ever thought about using the older Corelle for dinnerware? They are all but indestructible and light. I love the set I use.
We use Corelle too because it's so lightweight and durable and easy to clean. We love it because it's not heavy. :)

I found dishes just like Corelle in pure white at a pottery store. Very cheap and so far no chips. Very lightweight and I love them!

Is it weird that I like my Italian pottery with chips here and there? It kinda gives it a rustic, authentic feel. That’s the only thing I collect though where I’d accept a chip lol.

Since you're looking at scarves now, I suggest you look up images of hand rolled edges so you can identify them - it's usually an indicator of good quality.
I am constantly amazed, at the hauls you get at the Goodwills near you. I know I’ve said it before but here in NC, good things are hard to find. I miss the hauls I use to get in Connecticut. Good for you.
Yeah same for SC.. decent clothes sometimes if you're lucky and go a lot (my mom finds nice clothes at her GW in the lowcountry) but generally junk 90 percent of the time
Try Florida. Most of it is junk from Ross, Target, Dollar Tree. Very few have better stuff and not all the time.

U can take the cart out to ur car to unload? GW in Sacramento California ,they have tall poles in them that will not go out the door. Try unloading a full basket by hand or with a box not always easy

I'm sure you know a year later but those shades go directly on the light bulb to make your bare bulb ceiling light pretty or not bare.

You can get the wax out by putting the glass in the freezer for awhile. The freezer shrinks the wax and the wax pops right out with a little push.

UNDU removes candle wax and it also works great on removing stubborn adhesive stickers. It’s stinky but great and doesn’t damage paper items.
Love the Basket!! They do have great resale value and they are so much fun to decorate with!! Any of the Older Baskets are Worth $65 + the larger and flatter the Better :)
