You put back the framed cat! Bad idea. People would have ignored the matting colors for the fact that this was done in Counted Cross Stitch. It took many, many hours to complete!
Those half shade table lamps are great for narrow long tables placed behind the couch against the wall. I have that set up in my living room. It provides great reading light sitting on the couch, character, a table top to add interesting pieces too without hogging up a narrower room floorspace.
I watched your todays video with my husband. She saw you for the first time and he was so impressed by your knowledge and ability to find good item for sale. Good job lavenderclothesline. Love to watch you and Roger trifting adventures. Good luck!
I just saw a lady in my small town Arizona GW, she was comping, so I asked her if she was a reseller, she said yes. I asked her if she ever watched Lavender Clothesline and she said oh yes, love her! I am not a reseller but I love GW. I see lots of stuff that you likely would pick up, but of course too far. :-)
The half lamp shades are correct. Those lamps usually sell for $50-$80 each. Gives you more table space since lamp can fit closer to the wall. The dog doorstop is a Boston Terrier along with the planter you put back. That had value...I believe that is Betty Boops dog, Pudgy. I'd have taken the needlework cat out of the frame and sold it that way. It would sell, cats are so popular right now. Owls are making another comeback too. Not sure about buying that framed print with the white circular mat...it's pretty common but I'm guessing you checked comps
When you start your videos is totally up to you. really doesn’t matter if you do something a little bit different once in a while or every time for that matter
How true! Our goodwill prices in California are outrageous. Senior Tuesdays are only 10% off, color of the week items are pulled off the racks by staff before you can get to them and we NEVER have half off or $2.00 sales. 😢
The picture of Jesus is when he walked on the water, I'm sure. Love your videos. I've been watching every one for about 2 1/2 years. I especially love the ones with Roger in them. So happy for you both. Today I especially loved the Indiana mug and the Covered Bridge picture. Not sure if you picked up the mug. I'm from Indiana originally and we had a lot of covered bridges in the area where I lived. You and Roger work so hard. We do not have good thrift stores here in the Kansas City, MO area. Would love to visit PA someday. God bless you both and thank you for sharing your thrifting/selling life with us.
I have found a lot of beaded animals in thrift stores, rhinoceros, elephant, giraffe, and I am sure they are from South Africa. That little doggy was adorable.
The Rhogam mugs could be old when the drug came out. Rhogam is given to pregnant women who are a negative blood type. If the fetus and mother’s blood would mix it could cause complications in either the mother or fetus I believe. I am B negative blood type so I’ve had rhogam during both my pregnancies.
Drug advertising on a mug is quite common. Drug reps used to give them to staff at hospitals/doctors etc. mom was a medical secretary for 30 years. Our house had lots of them xx
We used to give them out in clinical trials meetings and as gifts to the investigators, site staff and subjects, but that stopped years ago bc of legislature outlawing what was termed "incentives".
It really amazing me how packed your Goodwills are . I love Goodwill hauls !!! Especially the hard goods . I find the clothes boring but that's me. I learn a lot with the hard goods . Moving back to TX this weekend . Loading Uhaul tomorrow so I'm packing and sweating lol
I agree with you discarding the cat picture. I Love the beaded dog and many other finds in the video. Thank Roger for spending a few minutes with my mother and her sister at rt 30. She was in Lancaster for the show. We came up in May and didn’t run into you two so she is bragging that she spoke to Roger. Lol. No worries she is 84. 🤣
I can’t get over how great your thrift stores are. I’m in Colorado and we have mostly dollar store and Walmart crap. Once in a while I’ll find something vintage and it’s usually broken 😞
Karen keep your eyes open for Death Wish coffee mugs. I found two last week and was so surprised how much they were on eBay. Love watching your videos. 🥰
I sure wish you would have picked up the brass frame. I know you can't pick it all thou. Thanks for sharing all of you valuble information. It's very much apppeciated.
I've watched you for a couple of years, and even more since you have Roger on your team. The two of you find such good stuff and seem to have so much fun. I have one request. Please search for a few new adjectives. I guess my ADHD checks in, and if I were a drinker, I'd make a drinking game of how many times "sweet" is the descriptive word. I honestly don't even know what that means. I love your videos. You aren't the only reseller on RUclips using sweet.
Thank you, Karen, for taking the time to carry a Go-Pro in your hand, film, pick up & show us items, push a cart, dodge customers, dig through art work, hard goods, lamps, clothes, purses, belts, etc. You do it with such grace & use beautiful language & verbiage to describe the items in your videos. Thousands of us get to sit at home & enjoy this free & extraordinary experience.

Now I don't like shoulder straps on bags. I like a handle, and the bag must be stiff enough to stand up on its own, and preferably the hands mustn't flop down. If there are tiny feet underneath to protect the bag that's even better.
I have quirks regarding the various characteristics found in handbags! I don't like front flaps that cover the opening and don't stay "up" so that you can get into the interior of the bag.
We love your words of wisdom for sure like "you need a shoulder strap on a purse!" Wish you had picked up that kitty cross stitch, i would have bought it from you and made a pillow from it or re0framed it. Anything cats sells!
It’s funny that you only buy mugs in sets. When I list mugs I always list them as quantity and I’ve always sold them individually no one has ordered more than one
That has always seemed odd to me, as well... There are lots of people out there who only want ONE mug of a design, type, or style, not four - either because they simply like it or because they are trying to replace one they broke. I think you should consider that.
Most of the Vera that you find at the Goodwill needs to be thrown away. I sell on eBay, and I won't buy from GW unless it's flawless and not overpriced and that's rare. The key to success with Vera is knowing your patterns and style names. There are a lot of styles that they don't make anymore. That is stuff people want the rare hard to find. Vera Bradley has changed so much over the years. It's a shame the quality is not there anymore.
Oh I might have to find me a chihuahua. I have 2 brothers, Bert and Ernie. But mine are brown, like the Taco Bell ones. A happy day is a full cart, good stuff. Hugs * L
I like the art piece you found!! I'm from Montgomery County and that artist from Lancaster sounds familiar !🖼 Question, what makes you decide whether to pick up a single mug vs a set? There was one you picked up but put back since there were not 4 of them. It was very pretty.
I literally just purchased the Vera Bradley turtle wristlet at a thrift store by me last week! I didn’t even realize it was Vera Bradley until I got home!

LOL How dare you?!?!?!? AND looks like NO Roger?!?!? LOL Ok I spoke my peace - I will go watch now on my TV =) Have a great day =) =)

But have the same squished adorable face. A Boston Terrier's ears are pointed at the tip. Triangular.
You put back the framed cat! Bad idea. People would have ignored the matting colors for the fact that this was done in Counted Cross Stitch. It took many, many hours to complete!
I will actually buy the whole thing just to get the cross stitch. I donate the frame back.
Sell the cat unframed and also those mats can be painted any color with craft paints. I have painted my fair share of mats.
The door stopper is a Bosten Terrier
Or French Buldog? I think they look a lot the same 🙈
Five hours in one GW! With everything else you have to do, you truly have a full-time job...and then some!
You have an amazing eye.
Those half shade table lamps are great for narrow long tables placed behind the couch against the wall. I have that set up in my living room. It provides great reading light sitting on the couch, character, a table top to add interesting pieces too without hogging up a narrower room floorspace.
I agree, the half lamp shades are neat and are a space saver. Very European.
Actually would be great on a mantel or side shelves
That’s cool!
So many people would love the cat picture 😊
It’s art and everyone appreciates art differently IMHO. Why so negative ?
I watched your todays video with my husband. She saw you for the first time and he was so impressed by your knowledge and ability to find good item for sale. Good job lavenderclothesline. Love to watch you and Roger trifting adventures. Good luck!
Omg, I can’t believe you put the cross stitch cat picture back!
Me either! I loved it!
@@LannieLord But they do now? Cats do have expressions on their faces: I've owned many.
I can't either, it would of gotten bought.

Just don't put it in your bed...
Bostin Terrier. I love him. I love thrifting with you🤩 And that is all I'll say about that🤣Thank you
Oh my gosh! You truly do have the best thrift stores! Such great finds!😊
I know it is amazing. I can go through my local GW in about 15 minutes. Mostly broken Walmart & Target hard goods.😢
Hi Karen, good haul! That is a Boston terrier dog door stop adorable 🥰
Love your vids. Some

I was saying the exact same thing.

They are actually in demand right now. All that swag has stopped. Any mugs with drug names are popular, the older the better, of course.
Mugs, notepads, pens . Those were the days!
Oh the cement horse head is everything!!
Hi Karen, I love your videos!!! Could you please make a shipping out video? Have a wonderful day!!!

The nutcracker with the black fuzzy hat has no nose. That's why they put the price tag there.

Surely Vera Bradleys must be very unpopular with so many ending up in goodwill? What a conundrum🤣🤣
The brand have sales once in a while and put the stuff very cheap. I believe that is damaging the value because the quality and cuteness still there.
