A friend thought me this. Look for a plate that catches your eye that is big enough to hold a homemade birthday cake. You can gift the cake and the plate.
I never really new what my style was untill I found your channel. I feel like I'm finally home. Thank you for your great finds and your adventures. Laura you make me happy.
It’s so funny what you said about the London fog trenchcoat. I agree they are wonderful. I am 57 years old and my father bought me a London fog raincoat the day I started working in DC. And we’re talking when I was 21 years old. I still have that London fog trenchcoat and it is still in perfect condition. So I guess you would say yup, I have a vintage London fog.
They always have such AMAZING eclectic choices there! She just passes over some stuff that I want to have a second look at! I LOVE wood art most of all. I wish we had here in Tupelo, MS just even a quarter of what they have and especially for their KILLER prices!!
The lion soup bowls are Everywhere here in Denmark. My parents had some. They are very cheap to buy wether you buy them new or second hand. You can get them in brown aswell were the lionhead is more detailed. There is also the big main bowl with a lid😃 Have a great weekend🌞
Hello from Australia. The framed artwork with the feather looks like a woodblock print (although it is not signed and has no edition #) and is possibly Japanese. The frame is a type frequently used in Japan. This may help you find the artist. I think the gold on the Japanese ginger jar has been applied with a stencil. It is not accurately registered and you can see the gaps in the lines that would be the bridges of the stencil.
This was fun..... I like that there was a spend limit ..... it makes it more focused and having to scramble for $2.00 was fun and finding your ring was even more fun!!!!!! FUN FUN FUN.... thank you 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Love the flowers.... more fun 💐 Oh and the squirrels 🐿 double fun 💕
Haeger pottery always brings back memories of touring the factory and store (no air conditioning!) as a kid and then with my daughter before it closed. Great find on the tea pots! They are so sweet!
Love the Colorways Creamer & sugar bowl you searched for $2 to buy. It was my wedding everyday dishes. I have the whole set & love the whimsical fun-ness of them. Look up the teapot, it looks like Mrs Potts from Beauty & the Beast.
Welcome back home to the Northwest! The gallery piece that you found at the 3:18 mark is an Egyptian design, not Native American. She is the Vulture Goddess, Nekhebet, one of the protectors of Pharoah and of Ancient Egypt. Very nice find!! 😊
Laura I wanted to thank you for how you share your finds and how you teach us. I found a wood perfume bottle I would of never know what I was seeing but because you share i5 with I I was able to pick it up. I was like a little girl at the toy shop. Thanks 😊
Nice to see a well displayed, clean Goodwill. The one in my town is awful! Nothing good there, dirty,, etc. Thankfully we have many more thrift stores to frequent. :)
Think the framing is called an inset float mount frame or shadow box. A slightly smaller foamcore backing is taped or dry mounted to the picture's back to give the illusion of free float within the frame.
That vintage 1940s-50s baseball lamp at 26:10 was a very interesting item, especially with the original shade and finial. If the "bat" was signed or a special player edition, that would make it even more valuable. Can't see if anything's written on it because the shade's hiding most of it. Would be very nifty in a retro-styled boy's bedroom or man cave.
You guys have the best Op Shops! I’m in Perth Western Australia, we call them Op Shops (Opportunity Shops) and they are mostly nasty, yours look like heaven!!
I have a bit of a magazine obsession, and yesterday in Goodwill I found the perfect little cabinet with 20 slots, 10 on each side, perfect magazine size cubbies. I am going to use some chalk paint on it, I was so excited lol.
I had to laugh at your ‘weird flower sculpture’ I bought one like that about 20 years ago and I love it. I collect miniature frames and put pictures of my grandkids in them. I use necklaces to hang my vintage frames from the flower sculpture. 😁🤣🥰
Apilco porcelain lions head bowls can be purchased at Williams Sonoma. Apilco is made in France. I’m posting this just in case you still need that bowl for French onion soup. Love you videos.
Omg.....I love your story about digging for some money in the car.....I found a turquoise "zero" fan at a thrift store on the border of Idaho once.....the fan was $5 they did not take a card!!!!! Omg I had to go find $5 in my car!!! Somehow the thrifting God's were with me that day and I still to this day have that dirty old "zero" fan hanging in my kitchen! 😁
Wow 👌 👏...... you are a real antique hunter . Sometimes $2 is so precious 💖. Love your video 📹. Enjoy, anticipated for Italy 🇮🇹. With love from SAM Assam , Guwahati, India 🇮🇳 ♥
Brand new to your channel and I am so happy that I found you. I subscribed to your page so I can watch your lives and buy some of your pieces! Hello from Stuttgart Arkansas.
Hi there Laura, love the show. I found one of these today and believe it or not, I bought it. I picked this video out of millions a when I saw yours , I had to go to my car and check. PERFECT MATCH! NOT from Paris but a thrift shop in Nashville TN! If you would like, I would love to send it to you and then you and Hubby can have your own crock of FRENCH ONION. Keep thrifting and I will keep learning along with you. D
I totally get the digging in the car for change!! Sometimes I leave my future self a few dollars tucked in the car owner’s manual in case I’m desperate to get that killer deal.
Hi again Laura, I just talked with my sister. She said the mounting on masonite board was done at Miller's, and the framing was done at Finishing Touch.
Once you're done with the flea market, those metal flowers could be cool spray painted a solid more modern color or brass color and hung in "Little Italy" or another outdoor space.
This was a cliffhanger! I always keep a blank check in my glove compartment. I occasionally forget my wallet at home or leave it on the gas pumps at the gas station next door to my house. Once when I left the wallet home I tried to cash my emergency check in an out-of-town bank, but without ID I got turned down. But it turned out the manager used to live in my town and vouched for me. A lucky break.
I was wondering why you weren't wearing any rings, and then you go and find one in your car. Yay! I love birds too. And I love that picture with a feather on it. Good scores!
A friend thought me this. Look for a plate that catches your eye that is big enough to hold a homemade birthday cake. You can gift the cake and the plate.
Sur la Table sells lion's head soup bowls so you can get Jessie his own bowl. ☺
I never really new what my style was untill I found your channel. I feel like I'm finally home. Thank you for your great finds and your adventures. Laura you make me happy.
I concur! I see myself better now through Laura’s eyes😊

So glad to see someone pick up a ginger jar without the lid!!!
Like you said, makes a beautiful vase.
This is the best organized Goodwill I have ever seen. Looks like a pleasure to shop there.
Wow! I wish my Goodwill’s were this organized and well-stocked! So enjoyable to watch.
They always have such AMAZING eclectic choices there! She just passes over some stuff that I want to have a second look at! I LOVE wood art most of all. I wish we had here in Tupelo, MS just even a quarter of what they have and especially for their KILLER prices!!
I'm in Ca, ours is tidy but bare. And everything is pretty much retail priced. It's sucks, It used to be fun, but now it's just disappointing
I love the London Fog coat you found...the fact that it has a HOOD is SUCH a selling point for me. I never see them with a hood.
I remember like 13 years ago at a walgreens they would do the frames like that with the pictures.
The blue ginger jar is Wabi sabi!!!
The lion soup bowls are Everywhere here in Denmark. My parents had some. They are very cheap to buy wether you buy them new or second hand. You can get them in brown aswell were the lionhead is more detailed. There is also the big main bowl with a lid😃
Have a great weekend🌞
Went thrifting and found 4 of the soup bowls in purple🤯 they are not nice in purple i have to say and i love purple😁
I used to see them in all the thrift stores in Montreal. Maybe because of the France connection.

The goodwill stores you find are so much cleaner and better organized than the one near me.
Love your channel. Like op shopping without leaving home lol.
I love the weird metal flower sculpture. I don’t like 80’s style but that is what it is and I love it!
Yay!! Laura thrifting video, it’s almost as good as going myself!
You are my favorite creator. You inspire me so much! Thanks for these GW shopping trips. I love them!
This was fun..... I like that there was a spend limit ..... it makes it more focused and having to scramble for $2.00 was fun and finding your ring was even more fun!!!!!! FUN FUN FUN.... thank you 🤗🤗🤗🤗

T Jones... nice to know I was not the only one who knew the vulture was Egyptian! Good eye my dear!
I always call these types of birds a phoenix. Now I know!
Laura I wanted to thank you for how you share your finds and how you teach us. I found a wood perfume bottle I would of never know what I was seeing but because you share i5 with I I was able to pick it up. I was like a little girl at the toy shop. Thanks 😊
You dont have to explain the metal flowers. Do what you feel, Ms. Laura. My Granny's name by the way. ❤
The green haeger vase is amazing 👏 😍
Oh Laura, the last store was so stressful with $8!!! But you still walked away with treasure. 👏🏽 👏🏽
It was harder that I thought it would be 😂
Yesterday I was wondering if you would post a thrifting day. Yay. Here you are. Thanks, I enjoy every minute.
Same:)
So nice seeing you thrift. Good haul. Can't wait to see more of your home.
Nice to see a well displayed, clean Goodwill. The one in my town is awful! Nothing good there, dirty,, etc. Thankfully we have many more thrift stores to frequent. :)
Laura I like that you’ve broken up the Europe videos with some Goodwill trips. I like the variety

Can’t wait to see the Italy video! Good finds today! 👍🥰💜

French onion soup, Laura - Julia Childs’ recipe is the best! And the most authentic x
Omgosh! I love those squirrel cream and sugar bowls!

Oh,and the brim of your hat showcases your eyes just perfectly.
Hey hey its Walla walla sweet onion season. The best French onion soup ever!! Welcome home neighbor!!
Make sure the onions are very slow-cooked so they caramelize, and lots of booze in eg (eg sherry) :)
Always fun to go on a good treasure hunt with you!❤️
I used to have the metal magnolia wall hanging. It's from Home Interiors during the 90s. It was in my bedroom.
I knew Italy would be your favorite! I loved it so much! Can't wait to see your video!

Add sherry to your French onion soup. French secret
I loved Paris. Went a few times in high school. Always brought back French wine an bread. So delicious. Back then we could drink at 16.
I had to laugh at your ‘weird flower sculpture’ I bought one like that about 20 years ago and I love it. I collect miniature frames and put pictures of my grandkids in them. I use necklaces to hang my vintage frames from the flower sculpture. 😁🤣🥰
I used to have lots of pieces of the sugar/creamer brand (purchased in the late 80’s/early 90’s). Now I’m down to two mugs. Great score!!
This blue vase is so pretty. I love the blues. Thank you for sharing all these great videos...A shopping lady...
I loved the squirrel set so much! I’m obsessed with them too! Awesome finds Laura!

I'm glad you found your lion soup bowl. I don't think Jesse will mind sharing with you! x
Updated: The orb vase is EVERYTHING! So neat!
That painting looks like a black throated sparrow feather, flying over Joshua Tree National Park.
You roll like I do…you buy what you love to resell. So do I. Sometimes it makes it more difficult to part with though.
Love those metal flowers too ❤
Your stores have so much so many nice things .that was fun thanks
I love the blue and white vases, ginger jars, etc.

Hi again Laura,
I just talked with my sister. She said the mounting on masonite board was done at Miller's, and the framing was done at Finishing Touch.
I don’t know if I would like the metal flowers in the green vase, but I love them.
Once you're done with the flea market, those metal flowers could be cool spray painted a solid more modern color or brass color and hung in "Little Italy" or another outdoor space.

Absolutely the most awesome finds. I so love watching you choose your pieces. Looking forward to the videos of Italy.

The lion head bowl, is from William Sonora! I had 10 of them that I just donated to the GW. They still sell it in their store.
Great finds!
Frosted glass you showed is non glare glass. I’m a framer
Those pleated lamp shades are horrible to keep clean especially near the top , iknow used to them...lol
