Dear Laura. My name is Augusto and I wish you a good day from Brazil. Just want to tell you how cool your videos are and how much I have been learning from you about pottery and pieces made of wood. You have an impecable taste! My daughter lives in Vancouver BC and I wish one day I can pay you a visit! You and Jesse are an incredible couple! Good luck on your findings!
Imagine my surprise this morning to hear my name mentioned. 🙂. I’m so happy to have the Leo Salazar. Knew I wanted him as soon as you picked him up at the store. I also have a carving from one of Leo’s sons, Michael. They look great together. And love that you shared the money with habitat. You’re one of my favorite RUclipsrs. Been watching for quite awhile. The fact you’re also from the PDX metro area is a great bonus.
One of the reasons I follow you on you tube is because of your genuine, and honest personality. Your gratefulness is so appealing. I am so happy how successful you are. I wish I had half of your knowledge. Have a great day, and I hope you understand how special you are !
What a sweet thing to say!! 🥰🥹 I’m so lucky to have you here! We truly couldn’t do this if it was for such an amazing community and support ❤️ Thank you for watching our videos and for being so kind! -Laura 💙
Yes! Me too! I have quit watching a number of other resellers because I am tired of hearing them complain about the prices they pay at GW, other thrift stores, etc. They would never consider returning a portion of their profits to the organization.
I love your taste and admire the way you compose your staging displays. Your shopping trips are almost as fun as going along and coming home with bargains because of your upbeat, adventurous spirit. Great channel!
My love of vintage grew in Germany. We were stationed there from 72 to 96 (my dad retired and became an army civilian like me) so I went to a lot of flea markets growing up. Then I moved stateside and started going to thrift stores.
I really appreciate the way you do your videos. I enjoy all aspects, the shopping, styling, information regarding the value/history of the pieces, etc. I appreciate your kindness in donating back to Habitat for Humanity and your willingness to donate valuable pieces to museums. I think your genuineness will cause your channel and business to thrive.
Hi Laura. Glass collector here. Re: the orange glass vase, colored glass that is lined or coated in a layer of white glass is called "cased" glass. It makes the glass thicker, heavier, and opaque, which changes the appearance and can even make it look like something other than glass.
Laura, thank you for you great videos! I love your style and demeanor, watching you is not only educational but relaxing because of your sweet personality ❤🙏🏻
Hi… I am from India … I’m watching and enjoying your videos coz of vintage shopping as well as more than that learning English .. I am a English learner … Thank you for everything 😊❤ and yessss I love your decorating ideas… so mesmerising …. 😊
I'm getting a seal or sea lion with arched back, and not a bird, from that first piece you picked up. I love that tiered candleholder from the 1990's artist. Great find.
Anytime of the day is a good morning when I pop on one of your videos I love your chipper sweet attitude and I love that you teach us thank you for what you do I love to see you have a blast can't wait to join you someday
Your staging skills are incredible. Even though mid century modern is not me, I love what you do with your beautiful finds. Really enjoy your channel andtheway you educate viewers. Thamkyou Laura.
Wow Laura ! You never cease to amaze me. And I was delighted to read a story about you the other day published by the Sun and it was top story in my Google Feed. Congratulations. You’re a rock star of thrifting.
I totally agree with following your gut. I don’t normally pick up art pieces because they are usually priced way too high for what they are in our thrift stores here in Oz but this week I just couldn’t pass by a particular piece that was only $10. When I got home I found it was buy South African artist Godfrey Ndaba and could be worth up to $500. I might b keeping that for myself because I actually really like it.
Oh my goodness, I thought I was creative. Why hadn't I ever thought of using corks to raise my individual bowls up??? LOVE you! Keep on with the great ideas, you are so inspiring. We are going thrifting someday together!! Between Pennsylvania and Oregon you guys have the best Good wills!
Thank you . I do enjoy your picks and information. I have always been interested in art, and I would love to read your Art book of the world. I am now 83 and currently unable to walk very far, so shopping with you is fun.
I love that donation system for big,k lucky finds. Well done you splitting the profit. That is where you hooked me. Sending you kindness and a thank you hug.
So happy to have found your channel. I’m in England and love “thrifting” and up cycling. I miss Goodwill stores - lived in WI for 7 years and loved mooching around in Goodwill. X
Great idea for your candles ! Awesome that you follow your intuition. You are blessed. The vase you found from Oacha is beautiful. Ihave a wonderful story about Oacha.
I saw your thumbnail and said "OMGoodness, there it is, that is PERFECT!" Then I grabbed my hubby and showed him the orange vase and said "this is what I am looking for!" The color and size are prefect for what I need it for. Gonna check my local thrift stores for that vase. Thank you!
I love everything you bought and how you staged it. Your GW store is like a new vintage or antique store here. You are so fortunate to have all the wonderful influence of the left coast style. And I am so glad that you are able to share your thoughts and ideas with the rest of us ❤️ 😍
Canadian girl here….I have come to the conclusion that the “goodwills” in my area of NB suck. I rarely find anything that gets me excited. Don’t get me wrong, I have found the odd item but when I see what you & others find daily, weekly, monthly, I am so jealous!!! It does, however, make watching your videos very interesting. Keep thrifting & teaching us. 🥰
LOL I have the same problem over here in regional Australia! Everything at the thrift is so-so bar the occasional piece. If I wanna get excited I have to visit the consignment place up the hill and hope I can spot some overlooked treasure. 😆
I love the orange bubble vase! But, the comp for the Kaiser lamp was ceramic. 14:48 WOW, good on you girl! I could not have let those zigzag candleholders go.
Thanks. You are very talented advertiser and businessmen. And you choose the things are very correct for interior design. The orange glass vase is gorgeous. That peace will be great in interior.
Laura just to let you know how much I enjoy your channel . I have to have my fix everyday I look forward to it I get to see your thrift shops and to visit the places you go too,two of my favourite things. You have such a bubbly personality and you are very inspirational. Keep them coming 🥰thanks Karen from England xx
Love those lamps! Really enjoy you taking us along to these shops, as there just are not many where I’m living, but whenever I get to one, I head straight to the housewares section. 😊
It is such a treat to watch pull your designs together! A sure sign that you are doing what you were meant to do. Giacometti is pronounced jock-a-metti. Accent on the first syllable.
Great video today! The goodwills in your area are so much nicer. Ours are so dirty & the selection is minimal. Loved seeing the “update” section. So nice if you to donate 1/2 back to Habitat for Humanity, love that! Can’t wait to see your sisters bedroom remake & the rest of your home remodel! Happy thrifting 😊
Good morning, Laura. I went thrifting yesterday and found a pair of cube shaped, marble candle holders. I was so thrilled. I have never found marble at our little thrift shop before.
Fabulousness! Your style, your genuineness and caring of other people less fortunate are just some of the reasons I adore you! One day John and I will be able to take a trip with you guys 🥰 We will be in Scotland again during one of the Italy trips. 🎉 London maybe? 🤔🤔
The orange vase could be a vintage reproduction by Crate and Barrel. They’ve done many interesting shapes and colors over the years and always good quality.
I love your videos. I found your videos when I was trying to find about the vintage jewelry, since I have been collecting jewelry and repurpose them, Two years ago I decided to learn how to make Metalsmith jewelry and I was able to pay for my classes for 1 year. Now I have lots of jewelry new made by me and repurpose jewely. I wanted to open my online store but I didn't know where to go, until you mention the website you create your store. I will give it a try. Thank you.
The item you thought was a bowl holder is part of a Sky Zone mist maker. It holds the bowl part of the mist maker. I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing them!🙂
I love going to NEW goodwills and thrift stores in different areas! There's always a new vibe and fun finds! Great video : ) You inspire me to keep going out to look for treasures!
Your love for Italian pottery had an influence on me; I found a cute little dish at my local booth place for just $18, I heard your voice in my head as soon as I flipped it over and saw 'italy' 😆 I was able to identify the company and list it in my Etsy store for 3 figures. Phone bill paid! 🙌

I really appreciate your integrity on giving back to Habitat for the Leo Salazar sculpture. That is one of the reasons I watch your videos.

You eye, your knowledge and your excellent curation are why your items are worth every penny you sell them for! Your vignettes are amazing.
I love Polish pottery too. We went a few times when I lived in Germany

Those floating tropical flowers are beautiful. You have the right idea: keep them for decoration, don't burn!
Get the aligator for your african animal colection. That friut will be fabulous with your new fruit bowl ! Great vase !
You could put a small clear slim vase/glass in the cut out vase, and still put in flowers.
Really love the orange glass vase - it will add such a great pop of color to a room!

Same I'm in Nova Scotia. Sometimes find the odd piece of pottery, that's it though.
I’m in the same position. We have NO good thrift store here in northern Ontario Canada. They are very junky & expensive. It’s so frustrating.
Your scandanavian bird is fabulous !
Lots of great finds!
My favorites are the zig zag candlesticks! So cool!
I couldnt love your mid mod style any more than I do! I drove up Oregon/wash coast and thrifted all the way! The BEST!!!! I’m coveting all your finds!
What a blessing you are Laura for giving back 😊😊

Oh my! Loved the polish pottery and the cat candle holder in the style show!
I enjoy watching you and I have learned so much from you about the antique business.🌹
It’s rare to find tropical flower candles in 2nd hand shops. So wild to think the previous owner also didn’t use it. Too pretty to light up the wick ❤
that looks like a sea lion for me. So pretty
My favorite part is to see how you stage. The items are all different, but the colors play well nicely.
Love those lamps! Really enjoy you taking us along to these shops, as there just are not many where I’m living, but whenever I get to one, I head straight to the housewares section. 😊
I love how classy your style is.
You are too adorable! Rainy curls 'n all!
Way to go on the Orange vase!!
It is such a treat to watch pull your designs together! A sure sign that you are doing what you were meant to do. Giacometti is pronounced jock-a-metti. Accent on the first syllable.
Cant wait to see your sister’s makeover! Saw the orange vase and gasped - soo cool 🟠🟠🟠
Love your styling!!
My eyes are really attracted to the color orange lately. Love the 3 tiered globe vase/lamp and love the art piece with the women behind it.

I can't wait for your sister's room makeover surprise. Just love your style. Thanks for sharing 😘
I love getting to new carts at the Goodwill too! That orange vase reminds me of Scandinavian designed pieces. Beautiful!
