- I found more treasures thrift #shopping at the St. Louis Park, Minnesota Goodwill thrift store including Fire-King glassware, Corningware ceramics and a set of Noritake made in Japan. All were clearly marked, but missed by everybody! I show you the marks so you can find bargains.
Thrift with me to see all of the treasures I found that were underpriced and that others walked by and missed. Did you know about Theodore Haviland of New York ceramics? They weren't just in Limoges, France! What about a mug used for shaving and made in Germany? Learn how you can spot one if you see one in the wild!
I also discovered plates clearly marked W.H. Grindley & Co. from England, Mikasa, and Habsburg from Austria. I show you how to tell which ones are better quality without relying on their marks.

@@nancymichaels2815isn’t it? I think she blows all the others away! With her knowledge!! Oh my gosh. We are so blessed!
I really love the videos of you shopping in Goodwill. Please do more of these videos! I also enjoy hearing your family memories. I really miss my mother and think about the “old days” quite often. Thank you for sharing your memories and knowledge with us!
Yes, I learned so much and it's so entertaining. Thanks Dr. LORI💐
Thank you for your videos. Very informative.
I could watch you shop for an hour ! I was just getting ready to price Cornflower Blue Corning glad you showed that
Had someone bring me a meal in Corningware, and I sent it back all cleaned up, she was very happy to know it would clean up. and had cookies in it, too.
@@ginj5375 what did you clean it with?
New to your channel. Thanks for the videos from Franklin,TN
I have a bonkers Corningware story for you!
I have a very large corningware, like the big one you showed here.
Years ago,at work,we had a potluck, and I brought my shrimp and broccoli pasta dish in it.
At the end of the day, before going home,I placed it on the trunk of my car,and planned on putting inside right before I left.
I forgot to put it inside.
I drove, made a sharp right turn,I even drove over railroad tracks!!!
I heard a glassy jangle, and horrifyingly realized that it was still sitting on my car!!
It survived.
This was a wedding gift to my parents back in 1967.
The thought of it sliding off and shattering, still haunts me!
I enjoy shopping with you Dr. Lori. 👍 The fire king dish reminds me of my grandmother.
DR. LORI, I LOVE THIS TYPE OF SHOW SO MUCH!!! .... you pack so much info in such a short time. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Back in the day when things were made to last forever. Corning ware, Maytag Appliances, Chevrolet and on and on. Thanks Dr. Lori and thanks to your camera person. I thought she was going to bust out laughing a couple of times.☺
And I love hearing your memories. 💗 You are an excellent presenter and teacher. Thanks again.
7:51 I love the Green she did not talk about I think it is from the 1920s
Dr. Lori, if there was ever any doubt in my mind that you are just the bees knees, and there was not, by the way, then watching you at the thrift stores in your last two videos and listening to you tell your stories and ply your craft would’ve removed all doubt. I’m an avid disciple and I appreciate your sense of humor and your scathing contempt for idgits as much as I do your skill and knowledge. But tonight, as I watched your video of you at the GW, you were just so sweet that you touched my heart. I’ve often thought that we have a lot in common (except I’m not that sweet lol)…age, outlook, desire to help everyone (especially other women), sense of humor…so very much in common except I don’t know diddly about art, jewelry, etc. 😊😊But in the three months since I found your channel, I know more than I did and I’m not planning to slow down! So thank you! And thanks for letting us know you a little bit better!!
I love how that Goodwill location puts the price sticker on the side and not directly on the makers mark. If only they could all do that it would be nice. Thank you for the video Dr. Lori ❤
I like seeing you get giddy over the simple things. As much as you have seen across the price points, you have avoided becoming jaded.
I had no idea that Corningware was so collectible. I have a lot of it and use it daily......along with my Pyrex. 😁
Dr. Lori at a Goodwill. This is awesome for us thrifters!
Love Love Love these videos! Thank you so much.
Dr. Lori, the red faded colored bowl reminds me of my dear sweet grandmother. I remember the different colored bowls that she used also like the ones you mentioned that reminded you of your mother. Something else that I have been meaning to mention to you is that you remind me of my mother who passed in 1996. Mainly because of how intelligent she was just like you are and she did not have a phd but she was greatly loved and honored elementary school teacher. Which she taught for 26 years. Always seemed like there wasn't anything she didn't know and as I remember her advice there's nothing that has been wrong so far. You two also favor each other. You as well are incredibly intelligent, and I love your show and appreciate all the knowledge you share. I have learned a whole lot from you! I am so thankful to have found you here on RUclips! I'm subscribed to your newsletter and a few years ago you did an online appraisal of a Picasso plate for me. I carry a loop and have the diamond tester and saving up for the presidium gemstone tester as I am starting to like jewelry more and more thanks to you:) Have a wonderful day!
No clue what I'm looking at but I'm digging this thrifting trip.
I think this the best segment you do thank you, it’s informative and fun, I could watch this all day everyday!
Thank you so much Dr. Lory! We are learning so much from your thrifting adventures please keep going for us.
Love this Dr. Lori!
Dr Lori! Thank you for this video. My husband and i live going antiquing and i felt like i was with you. Please do more like this really enjoyed going antiquing with you😊
Thrifting with Dr Lori...Love it!...🙂
I always like all of your videos but watching these shopping videos are sooo fun & i love how you reminisced about your mom's bowls ❤
Like this format- shopping with Dr. Lori!!
Dr. Lori, really digging your teaching while in the Goodwill store.
These visits are VERY helpful!!! Thank you so much for doing them!!!❤
I love my corningware, even the plain clear ones. It's just practical, good presentation for supper, put a lid on it for seconds later and can go right in the fridge after, no tupperware needed. Great for busy moms. I sound like a commercial jeez. 😂
When I first moved out my first dishes, I wanted them to be so different so I bought a set of Mikasa. They were black with the tiniest of little purple buds flowers. I loved those dishes.
Wow.. I am so happy to hear that info on the Corningware... Cuz I have a ton of it.. with the lids.. in great condition.
Thank you family and thank you Dr. Lori :D
I still have the full set of those Pyrex mixing bowls. They were passed on to me from an older lady that was moving to assisted living. I use them all the time.
Hi Dr Lori. I also enjoy your video thrift trips. Because of health. Can no longer do thrifts. Thank for taking me along.-60' sururvivor:)
Dr Lori in the WILD! i LOVE IT!
I really loved this video! Covered lots of different ceramics with values! Thanks, Dr Lori! Let’s go shopping again real soon!
OMG Dr. Lori - the times I've talked to you on calls not included - these thrift store videos are my new favorite thing!!! Looooooooove!
I LOVE these videos of you hunting in the actual stores with your advice! More of these please!
I was raised with Corning wear, my mom had quite a few pieces, as myself. I’ve had my Corning set ( two pieces big and smaller with lids, since 1983. Like you said, it was made to last and mine is still going strong!
Just like everyone else of that generation.
❤ing this type of video from you. Thank you!
😁👍 me too ! I think it's an OCD thing 😂; I know there are many just like us 🤪 out in the thrifts .
Dr.Lori out of all your shows and videos, I like thrifting with you the best ,very current in form and presentation .
You have so much knowledge and you share it ,thank you , I've learned so much from you.
Oh dear, the Corning ware i can't believe it! I gave away my mum nes because i hate them. Passed to my from my mother in-law. One of my lids is gone because my clever husband after talking from the oven, place it under the water in the sink and CRACKED! 😢
BTW: I like that you say Where you are. I love this series. Thank you.
Thank you
I love all of your videos Dr. Lori! Thank you. I like your confidence and showing of leadership abilities, that might sound weird but I had a stroke and sometimes I phrase things weird I hope ykwim. I just realized that it would be important to tell you thank you for bringing back wearing gloves out in public. I don't want to touch things when I'm out in public and back in history women always wore gloves. Oh I just saw a close-up I thought you were wearing cotton ones but maybe those are vinyl? I want to bring back women wearing cotton gloves.
Thanks for watching! Check out my video of why I wear gloves at ruclips.net/video/0gxhyPngbHI/видео.html
I too can watch you shop for hours. Love these videos! Please do more. Thanks, Dr. Lori.
LOVE this video!! Love you Dr Lori! The last item you picked up, the peach luster...I have lots of pieces including a full set for 8. I didn't realize it's value. THANK YOU.
Dr Lori thank you for your company and your knowledge!! You rock!

Love your Goodwill shopping trips.
Dr. Lori we REALLY LOVE these "shopping" format videos!!!
Wonderful that you move sets back together! It really increases the chances of a sale. 🙂
Thank you Dr. Lori I love when you go into goodwill and make videos...
❤❤❤ love going thrifting with you.
Thats what Im talkin' about Lori!! Keepem comin. Ill keep liking and watching. Thanks for the content.
Dr. Lori ,I just left a goodwill, and bought something's for a dinner table and I seen some things that I new was worth some money ,but left them for someone else to get ,because I already stocked up on them bake ware ,and I seen at the antique malls they sell retail when thrift stores sell affordable which is very nice of them.
Thank you and I really enjoy watching your channel.
Really, really, like this segment. Learning a lot as usual :)
I learn so much from you in each video. Thank you.
Love Good Will shopping with you! I always learn something. I’m going to be more aware when I see Corning ware on the shelves! My great grandfather sold cheese in his grocery store. They were big wheels of Vermont Cheddar Cheese and he would cut wedges for the customers, wrap them in paper and tie up the packages with string!
Love watching your thrifting trip videos!
In the past month my girlfriend and I have been thrifting at Good Will and Salvation Army. It has been so much fun! My sister collects pewter which is not popular at this time. I have picked up a few pieces for her and paid $4 for medium sized wide mouth vase, $2 for a medium size candlestick, and a very small rounded corners, square dish with a candlestick type of round handle for 96 cents on a 30 % off day! Cheep fun and entertainment! Watching you get excited is fun to see, I have just subscribed to you!
Welcome! Stay tuned for the shopping video where I found pewter pieces :)
I have my mom's corning wear dishes with the lids! I will give it to my daughter when I can no longer cook. AND I have 2 bowls that are that same color of the Fire King!!!! Only my bowls are all that orange color!!!! I don't use them. They were my mother's bowls. She used them on Thanksgiving and Christmas. She never used them any other time. I'm so glad to know that that brand is real!!!
I wuv you Dr Laurie Professional and sense of humor😊
Would love for you to do more of this. I know nothing about ceramics
You are so much fun to watch..
And your video is so interesting!
Thank you Dr Lori!
I love finding out what’s good in the thrift stores. I’m listening. !!!
Of all your videos these are my favorites and I find most informative at the entry !evel.
Thank you so much Dr Lori. I really enjoyed this video. It was so good to watch a knowledgable thrifter - unlike many who pass over quality items of value to reach for something 'cute' and who even after years of thrifting and reselling have to lift up an item and look underneath to identify it (which often takes them ages as they rarely wear their glasses). And don't get me started on their one handed thrifting and poor camera skills.
I'm enjoying this thank you 😊
Love that u are doing the thifti g now.
That was fun, and your amazing as u r , thanks
I am loving these Goodwill shopping videos!!
I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm learning so much.
Thx for taking us with you
Dr. Lori! ❤ I still have all my old old corning ware. & i still love it. Also several pieces of Fire King. Lets not forget the PYREX. The good ones with capital letters that don't shatter.
That Pyrex bowl looks like it’s been in the dishwasher.
And you have my favorite Dooney purse. Love the extra long strap.
Great show, always learn greatly from u!!! Thank u!!! 💞💞🙃💞💞
💜watching U ,,,, lots of fun & learning a lot- U are a “ Natural 👏
O my, how cool, you out shopping, I love it! Thanks❤
Hey Dr. Lori, I love the videos that you go to different stores. It really helps me out a lot with my business. Thank you and God bless you.
Thanks for taking me shopping. I just recommended you to someone today. I always recommend you as an authority.
My husband and I like to keep butter at room temperature on the table by placing it in a little sauce bowl under the lid of the cheese keeper. This keeps dust, bacteria and cat tongues off the butter all day long.
Dr. Lori, you are the best!!! So FULL of knowledge!! Love your videos!
Excellent. FUN FUN FUN
LOVE LOVE this new format. Thank you!!! Super fun
Dr. Lori, in my basement is at least one set of matching dishes from the mid 30s. I tend to like things that don’t match and consequently for every family dinner I get out my plate collection. Hardly anything matched and besides the plates I don’t have enough matching silverware so I use what I have. All this mismatch is on a round table which is covered by lace curtains rather than a typical tablecloth. It may sound horrendous but it is beautiful. I am going to find my my mom’s Cambridge wildflower glassware and every place setting will have a piece of it except for the one year old granddaughter! And I just want my family to remember these dinners and all of us together eating from antiques.
Thank you so much for these videos! I have learned so much from you! I could listen to you for hours!
This is information and shopping! Love your content on videos 😊 love your personality ❤
Love your Thrift with Me Videos!!
Love your video. The dishes at about 4:40 remind me of my grandmothers wedding china from 1927.
I love your video,s from Goodwill! Please do more. Oh,and on Tuesdays i get Senior Citizen rates. So ,thats my day to go.
I’ve looked at a lot of her videos lately, they give you some good tips which aren’t entirely commensurate with English values, but gives you an overall idea of what age and quality is in secondhand goods.
My values are based on what people really pay. Actual sales. Believe what you want.
Thoroughly enjoying the shopping with you
Love this style of videos. Thanks for taking us along.
So much fun watching n learning from you shopping the goodwill store!! THANKYOU!!!
LOVE shopping with you! Thanks so much
Love shopping in goodwill with you. I to appreciate and use my cornflower Corning ware. I have many pieces inherited and bought from goodwill-love them.
Ooooh, I see the 'silk flowers' soup bowls down below the Noritake on the bottom shelf.
Love watching you out in Goodwill
I love your videos. I have learnt so much. I was born and raised in England and wished I had been more interested in the older pieces when younger!
Thanks for watching!
You'd probably enjoy my Class and Appraisals where our community gets together to show each other an object and I appraise it. Fun.
Thank you so much for actually going thrifting and educating me while you do it. Thank you Dr Lori.
Bought a beautiful NORITAKE vase from my neighbor . Nice thrifting!🥰👍🏽
We still use those colored bowls of mom's at dads...really fun..thank you.
