Hey Laura! I have that glass caddy at around 8:45 timestamp. It was from Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware (some place like that) in the early 2000s. It holds 4 small martini glasses and the shaker goes in the center 😊

I found your channel randomly one day months ago and you have inspired me to bring out my inner thrifting goddess! I have been very depressed for a few years now since my parents both passed within a couple of months of each other. They were divorced for years, but still remained best friends because of still raising my sister and I. I was just laying there each day, like an 80 year old waiting to die, even though I’m only 46! You’ve also helped my marriage. I get out of the house and do things now instead of lying in bed or the couch all day sad. Thank you for helping me LIVE AGAIN and I look forward to each day. I love your videos and look forward to watching them every week. I knew my mom collected antiques, but I had no idea to what extent. My stepdad has the pieces now, but she has some great pieces. Thank you for the knowledge you share about the pieces you show on your videos and what you thrift. I had no clue what my mothers pieces were until now. I just wish that I was into thrifting and collecting pieces when my mom was still alive. But on the brighter side, I now know what she has collected and I can pass down that knowledge and pieces to my daughter and other generations to come. I want to thank you for your upbeat videos and attitude towards life. I turned 68 today and am in bad health living with chronic constant pain. Some days I want to end it all but I watch your videos and some others and feel better. I started collecting vintage over 20 yrs ago and even had an antique booth for many years. I had hoped to continue in my retirement but am unable to even go to thrift stores anymore. My favorite to collect was mid century modern probably because I grew up in that time period. I am presently trying to downsize as I still have a lot of items I collected over the years. I invested a lot of money over the years and do not want to donate everything, especially my 60s Italian and California pottery pieces. I would like to offer it to a dealer but request they take it all. I just dont know how to go about it. Anyway I just want to say That I love your videos and your styling ideas and look forward to all your future videos.

When I was in Hoi An Vietnam about 5 or 6 years ago I bought 4 fairly small (4 inch width top) baker bowl with a lid. They used them for cooking individual meals at family run restaurants. I asked the owner where to buy them and I went there. They are made out of the same pottery they made bricks out of which they used at base of prison walls where they kept the famous US Congressman at. (He was a POB and served in Congress and passed a few years ago) anyway, they are famous for the quality of pottery they make in Vietnam. I’ve never used them, they are still in my storage. I don’t have enough room in kitchen but might need to dig them out and find space use them. .
Change up the bar stools. You can tell that the quality of the ones you found on this trip is so good. The deep colour looks great in your kitchen compared to the lighter ones and the back of the Italian made ones has cleaner lines so it's easier on the eyes. I vote to change it up and keep your newer find!

Definitely change it up! It was such a dramatic difference when you put back the original chairs. The curved back of the new ones is very complementary to the island, and the height of the chair back doesn't obstruct the visibility of the decor on the island.

I loved those wooden chests. I love so many of the wooden things you find. That burp wood on your island is the bomb. I have a cypress basket that is carved out of one piece of wood that was my mom’s. We used it for my daughter’s wedding. Those blue crane pillows were so unique. I LOVE LOVE the stemware glasses!!
The ones you have are so different and stylish and match the wood so amazing. The new ones are cute, but a bit chunky and the color of the wood a bit dark. Both work, but I vote for you to keep what you have.
That "waffle maker" makes Italian Pizzelles. The long handle helps when you hold it over the stove & need to flip it to bake the other side. Watched Mom, Aunts & Noni spend hours making them. Delish.
They're the traditional shape of waffles in Sweden too, and the handle is used the same way as you describe, so they're probably not limited to one country.
Norway, they are krumkake irons. My MIL used the old iron one but gifted me an electric one that you can make 2 at a time! I think you need to sit in the bar stools, the last ones you picked almost look like there’s not room to sit on one under the counter. 🤷🏻♀️
Like the new chairs at the island for sure! Just think the dark color and simpler form is more cohesive. And I wasn’t crazy about them at first, but totally dig them now!

I love them both. But think the old ones are better for two main reasons. They are not as tall and the color matched better. ❤❤
I loved those wooden chests. I love so many of the wooden things you find. That burp wood on your island is the bomb. I have a cypress basket that is carved out of one piece of wood that was my mom’s. We used it for my daughter’s wedding. Those blue crane pillows were so unique. I LOVE LOVE the stemware glasses!!

The ones you have are so different and stylish and match the wood so amazing. The new ones are cute, but a bit chunky and the color of the wood a bit dark. Both work, but I vote for you to keep what you have.

That "waffle maker" makes Italian Pizzelles. The long handle helps when you hold it over the stove & need to flip it to bake the other side. Watched Mom, Aunts & Noni spend hours making them. Delish.
They're the traditional shape of waffles in Sweden too, and the handle is used the same way as you describe, so they're probably not limited to one country.
Norway, they are krumkake irons. My MIL used the old iron one but gifted me an electric one that you can make 2 at a time! I think you need to sit in the bar stools, the last ones you picked almost look like there’s not room to sit on one under the counter. 🤷🏻♀️

Like the new chairs at the island for sure! Just think the dark color and simpler form is more cohesive. And I wasn’t crazy about them at first, but totally dig them now!
I vote for the amazing thrift store-found barstools in the darker color. They look gorgeous in the space and I am guessing they are more comfortable too!
