Not sure if someone mentioned this already (there are 663 comments), but the "AP" on the clock means "Artist's Proof" -- you will see this more often on 2-D artwork, usually limited edition lithographs. The Artist's Proof is the first one produced and given to the artist for approval before additional copies are made. An AP item is typically far more valuable than the later copies.
Here is a trick to get a pen working. Light a match and gentle expose the ink point to the flame. Only for a second or 2. Then while warm try the pen again gently until the ink flows. The flame burns off the dry ink allowing the ball to move and release the good ink. Do not do this with anything but ball point pens.
Heating the tip works, the heat expands the metal collar and the ink can flow.
Just found your blog yesterday! I stayed up till 4:00 am watching, really enjoyed you! I am a thrift store shopper and repair old lamps. Never thought of it as a business; as I am retired.
You were right, the grape green glass vase is uranium glass and does glow under a blacklight
I’ve got to admit mate, thrifting is a serious business right across America. It’s incredible.
That silver and sunset-y clock is something I'd absolutely hang up in my house. 🧡
The Italian plate that Dagney found with the fish on it came from a restaurant in Italy. A number of restaurants had them. If you ordered a particular meal at the restaurant, you would get to keep the plate. Each participating restaurant had it's own design.
When I was in Rome in 1978 I got one of the plate from a different restaurant.
Thank you for that information! I did translate the front to catfish fillets in sour vegetables :)
"When I was in Rome" Still waiting for the day I can say this.
Spinning yarn..... is there ANYTHING Dagney can’t do? You guys are so good together!
That large yarn I have seen woven, crocheted, using only arms and hands. The result is a large "stitch" blanket. It takes very little time to make a lap rug or blanket. Very cool looking!!
That yarn is called "roving" and yes, it is made that way for spinning. I have been spinning for years now, but you don't have to use a wheel, you can use a drop spindle. You can easily make one - there are videos on RUclips to show you how.
Our Goodwill is awful it never has more than 10 items per shelf i keep saying to myself I'm going to contact the district manager but i never find the time
I really enjoy watching you and Dagney (sp) shopping in the same store and particularly enjoy your senses of humor!
Good afternoon. I’ve been watching your channel and learning so much. I grew up among the southern mothers and grandmothers who had houses filled with Roseville, Fenton, 12 piece sets of china with all serving pieces, crystal and silver. We ate our main meal at a table that was always fully set for dinner. As a baby boomer it amazes me how much of my childhood is available in thrift and consignment stores. Our children are just not interested, yet! I still enjoy sitting at a table surrounded by beautiful things. So all this to say thank you for your posts. You should dip down south and visit some of the shops. It would be a ‘bring the Uhaul’ trip. 🤗 💛

I can save you the trip to TN. Our Goodwill's suck!
The bowl with the code - the brief look I got it could be longitude and latitude It’s become popular to have items personalised for engagement/ wedding presents with the coordinates where the happy couple met - and as it has 2 handles like a loving cup this could be the hidden meaning
How sad if this is what it is. 😢
@@nancyjames9471 Ikr? As I've gotten older I've wondered what to do with things like that? At the time you want it bc it's neat but over the years if it survives there may be no one to pass it on to. Then what?
@@caryulmer5578 it will probably end up at Goodwill. 😔 I have a lot of beautiful old things, quite a few family heirlooms. My daughter does not have room and don’t know how much of the pretty stuff my son would really want. I think it’s almost better to give things away while we are still here so they go in the right hands.
Maybe it’s a sailing trophy
@@nancyjames9471 Agreed. I'm in the same situation except all my friends are my age too so they don't want it. Seems sad to see things that were in my parent's life going to Goodwill.😦 I guess I should toughen up.
I absolutely love how you are attracted to weird and strange pieces. Of course you know for a fact that they are one of a kind. I’m like you in the respect that any thing over three pieces is considered a collection, and lord knows I have an abundance of collections! I just wish I lived closer to to you and Dane, I’m sure we would have a wonderful time perusing the isles together!! Keep up the great videos, cause I’m addicted!!
Thank you so much Jocelyn and your Daghne, I really really enjoyed watching you both collect all those amazing pieces and I’m sure your get a good profit from it all. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
I need a Dagny in my life! 😂 Her dancing was everything.
I really love the pig candlestick
I absolutely love Goodwill and thrift stores! Watching this video made me wish I was shopping!
I'm in Northern Ireland we don't have amazing thrift stores......we have charity shops most are are like junk shops
So true Margaret in Limerick Ireland
Guess its because our mammies thought us to fix and mend... we hate throwing things out :}}...x
It's such a shame that people make a business out of reselling thrift store items. These are the folks that are driving up prices in these stores!!!
Love the Spool of Twin & the Adorable Scissors ✂️
I was watching Linda Vater yesterday and she uses candle holders like the pig you picked up as pot stands. Like for succulents etc. the little spike fits perfectly in the pot hole on the bottom. Just thought you might be interested in that tidy bit...
Great idea!

I saw that too and went through the same thought process
I love it when you insert the comps! I’m sure it is a lot more work, but it really is fun.
Agreed - thank you
omg i really want to buy you the spool and scisor✂️
Ffff

I'm in Ohio I never see prices like that at our Goodwill's in the area I'm in rarely ever find anything worth buying for 1.99 lucky you!!!
I purchased a “LUCKY”. Purse the pocket had $10.00 in it and it sold on eBay the first day for $48.00 + shipping 😃 🍀
Wow!
⁰
😮😮😮
The best part of the video was the end - Baby Laurel with the long blonde hair. 😂❤
Great purse finds, today! Also, I use the “giant yarn” to hand knit afghans/throws for the living room.
Omggg the shell mermaid i just sold for 60 us! I think it appealed to lefton lovers. Mermaid items go high in price! Go back and get it!! lol
Lots of Lefton lovers!
Free People is a very desirable brand, owned by Urban Outfitters. The Lucky Brand bags are a great find too. I worked in the handbag industry for years so personally I don't shop for them but your picks were very good!
Don't pass up Pier 1 glassware, I found a set of two mugs with an oceanic fish / seahorse / sealife design and sold comps are at around $50 for the set!
When you are going through purses bags especially backpacks any such thing do not get lazy open every single compartment and searched through every nook and cranny of every bag you might be surprised one day at what you find
Candle holder round with 4 pillar holders might be advent candle ring
Yes! I think you may be right. ☺️
I thought the same, Advent wreath.
Really would love to buy this please.
The spool with twine and scissors was the best thing!
Are they worth anything? My local thrift store has a bunch. Does people still use them? Thanks 😊
@@anitanapp6759
I be interested if you listed the spool and twine.
At my Goodwill I have bought Calvin Klein, DKNY, and other designer clothing, with tags still on, for $1.00. The last day of the color tag goes from 50% off to a $1.00. Incredible buys. I'm always first in line $1 day.
Shorter and Son are a well established English pottery That scene was of London I have a colourful Neptune jug of theirs which I love
The mermaid’s mascara has run
Really! She should have more sense and wear waterproof.😔:)
You passed the "easy" button without pressing it!! Lol. I love the geese and the spool of yarn/twine with the scissors. I could definitely see that being used as a decor piece. Whenever I watch your Goodwill videos I am always amazed at the deals and incredible prices. I wish we had that good of deals here in Canada. Our Goodwills are so expensive!! I find better deals at Value Village/Savers.
Can someone tell me where this goodwill is if anyone knows thanks alot
@@deborahblaettler4317 - I was wondering the same!

The old CorningWare casserole dish with the lid she missed was worth money
ugh this drove me crazy!
Wow! Those Lucky Brand "handbags" are gorgeous! The distressed leather, the contrast linings and fine detail proves that your "eye" is in fine tune.
That little Lennox elephant in the case I had. I gave it to my daughter.
Now I see why you call it MAGICAL!! You found a lot of great pieces!!! I enjoyed your magical adventure!!!!
Obsessed with that big yarn with the scissors so much!! I'm addicted to everything primitive! 🌾🍂 so glad I came across this channel !
again, thank you for taking the time to show us the comps!
Jocelyn and Dagny’s great adventures at the magical goodwill “ It’s a Book” perhaps in your spare time. Just saying😆
I find your voice very soothing. Really enjoy watching you pick out treasures.
Love that little sign!!
Maybe my favorite of your shopping trips in awhile! That IS a magical Goodwill!
Love the purses. You know so much! And wow that’s a really nice store! It has soo many nice things!!!!
That is a magical Goodwill. I think you did great choosing the purses today!! Just have to say I enjoy your videos sooo much. We are presently in lock down with curfew at night. ❤️🇨🇦
the doll is adorable and she has a tattoo!!!!! love and hugs
Good for you for grabbing the berry bowl set! Beautiful!
Love your videos!! Learning a lot about reselling & loved the info on the purses too!! 🌻💞🌻💞🌻💞
Oh wow, that second doll rocker with the spindly back looks like a full-sized one we had in our house for decades.
That little mermaid in the shell is SOO cute! I would have purchased it. 😍
She did buy it- it is in her Ebay store now if you really want it. 😃
Thrift stores are fun to get things for birthday parties. My daughter wanted A Little Mermaid themed party. You can find such cute things
I just love how you and Dagne play off each other. It is very entertaining.
That magical Goodwill is literally world class. I can’t imagine ever finding that many amazing, interesting and well priced pieces in the wild. Dang it makes for good videos.
There are Goodwills like that here where I live in Asheville, NC. I found a $1200 Murano lamp for $8. Also there is a thrift store in Winston Salem, NC I go to called Mega Thrift that is the best I’ve ever seen. SO MANY unique vintage and antique items for VERY CHEAP prices it’s absolutely crazy.
Wow, did you leave anything on the shelves😊. Love it when you guys load up.
Boy did you find some great things at this store!!!
You are so lucky! Our thrift stores in northern New England don’t have anything and what they do have is
Sooo sad!
I went to Goodwill this morning and spent $70. I'm hoping to at least get my money back. 😱
The pens were probably art glass dip pens. I have one. You have to dip it into an ink bottle .
Wishing our local Goodwill had a better selection. This was fun to watch, thanks
Free People for $4.99 WHAT😳 That is Amazing 🤩
I swear, that Yorktowne Pfaltzgraff pattern shows up so much in your videos, that it should be part of a drinking game.
That’s a nice brass key. I avoid dishes too. Have a great day. Be blessed
seriously...they can't sell a box to you that someone donated because there is no price tag on it! Really, what do they need an executive decision to price things, OMG.
Unfortunately we aren't allowed to just give a price anymore. We have to send it back into production.
I found items I was looking for (identical cheap Xmas electric candles that you put in your windows ) that were all priced differently . Only reason given was it depends on who was working that day doing the pricing. I think they should have sold them all at the lowest price but they wouldn’t. So I decided it was worth it to me but I don’t like that mind set
Happens to me a lot, frustrating. Oh well.
@@dittohead7044 You never want to make a sudden decision on the pricing side
FANTASTIC!!! LOVE the variety you girls picked up. Absolutely wonderful. That pig container Dagney found and gave you....😍😍😍😍😍. Just numerous fun quirky beautiful pieces. THANK YOU!!!
That's actually large yarn for arm knitting. It comes like that.
I thought it might be that too, but it also would make fantastic yarn as well. It has a long staple length when I pulled some off.
Possibly wool roving.
Just came to say the same. Arm knitting, for sure.
You could probably arm knit a bat/small dog bed from that ball
Also good for tying up Manchester
That modern bowl with the chip was sold at Stein Mart. I have a cousin who loves to show people the bowl
Thank you for adding the comp screen shots, that is very helpful! Great video / shopping trip!
That's not a Goodwill. That's a Greatwill!
Thanks for adding comps to your videos. It is so helpful! I know that's more work for you. It is much appreciated.
Hello Loy
I like these shows, thank you!!!
You have a farm in your buggy! Pigs and cows and geese.
Lol!
The glasses were Fostoria which is a really good glass company depression glass
It is a real magical Goodwill. It does have some many cute things. I would have picked Everything you picked😁
Having worked in retail, I can say that thermal-type receipts are made of just about the WORST type of paper, to write on, that you can find. Many pens will not write on them. I would not trust the validity of any test of a pen on them!
Right. Also the pens can be refilled, right?
I try to avoid touching receipts as much as possible, as they have BPA. A lot of studies have been done on how much of it gets absorbed through the skin.
@@samsonkitty99 I know! And I worked that job for 32 years!
I'm really enjoying you sharing the comps with us.
I think the “glass baubles”“on the tray etc could be listed as cabochons (sounds good) anyway loved those PCs. 🌸
Loving the Comps! Keep up the great work and stay just the way you are!!!
Love Dagny's dance moves!! Always love your videos Joselyn! :D
Finally J! Thank you for finally learning about LEATHER handbags! You pass up Marc Jacobs, leather Coach, made in Italy leather bags, large leather bags they sell!
By the way I'm addicted to your videos. I live in Manhattan and the prices you find are amazing! Keep up the good work.
Have a great day Jocelyn!
That number (code) ...reminded me of the 'Haussegen' houseblessing.....these are the number you see her in Germany over the entrance door..but on glass....it just looked like the same pattern...
You did great with the purses!! I had to defend you yesterday….don’t fret! It was just my husband…no worries. He said “she doesn’t know what she is talking about!!!” So I said, shut up, she knows so much about her niche!!
That is by far the most extensive Goodwill I've ever seen.
That was a productive trip! Love so many things but the pig is epic.
I couldn’t believe you did not get the owl mug😧😂
Your Goodwills have great choices. Our goodwill is filled with trash. Never any glassware.
Wow, you scored some incredible finds there! Way to go!
Loved this shopping trip, you found so many great things.
Your voice is so soothing, your gonna be my daily ASMR now!
What a great haul. Love it❣️
I can't believe you passed up the "Easy" button. They are so much fun!
A trick to get ball point pens to work is to remove the metal cartridge and heat for 2 sec in a flame. Loosens the ball from the dried ink. Also use real paper to test.. not powder backed receipts.
I just found your channel and this is the first video I’ve watched of yours - loved it! Loved the pace you filled your cart, your descriptions, your voice. Subscribed!
That brown lucky brand purse is so pretty!!!
Oh my ! So jealous, lots of great finds. A few I was hoping you would pick up. Love your video's! 😁💖💖💖
The big floral frog that Dagney found is called a flower brick. :)
NICE VARIETY OF POTTERY HAUL.
THIS GOODWILL IS FABULOUS!! ☕☕
Your Goodwill has way better stuff then ours does!!
Where did Banana Box Antiques go ???
When you was in the red section the popcorn buckets are sold at the dollar tree. I used to buy them as Christmas gifts with a box of microwave popcorn. Perfect cheap gift.
