This is an amazing lounge! I can’t wait to get to play and explore this lot! You can tell you put A LOT of work into this and how proud you are which just makes that lot that much more special. Absolutely FANTASTIC job! I love the use of the platform tool, I actually love that it looks symmetrical but isn’t, and THANK YOU for that half wall so the sims can’t just walk up the side! You made it "clean" and yet interesting. The levels make the whole thing come alive. You really have the right to be proud of this one, sir! Hats of to you!
While I do agree that EA should have hired actual Japanese simmers to have done this collab, I think it's also a smart idea to work with people who they've had dealings with before for a collaboration like this seeing as this is (afaik) the first time. From the reactions and results now, I think that the reception from the community has been a success. I think going forward, they should collab with people from the actual culture to do it so it's more authentic. But for a first time, I applaud this as a good first step. Plus, I know James will be respectful in their builds (and hopefully the others as well), so I'm hopeful when the pack comes out. Speaking as a person of color myself (SEA), just to clarify before someone flames me for this opinion.
I guess the choice was also made based on popularity among the community. Out of the four, I only watch James' videos, but I know who all of them are. If we keep pushing (for the most part) white creators we can't at the same time blame them for getting opportunities that come with their viewer counts.
I would’ve liked the inclusion of at least one Asian simmer. It makes sense they went for the biggest ones but at least one Asian simmer even if they were smaller like Freezerbunny would’ve been amazing
@@melz6625 Oh, absolutely! I don't disagree at all, I'm just trying to see how they picked the people they ended up reaching out to and this is something that seemed to make sense at least somehow, as these people are very in touch with a large portion of the community and know very well what we want and can cater to that.
@@lisafinch5823 I’m afraid it was a purely marketing based decision. EA is a corporation and therefore has no loyalty except to make money for its shareholders. They chose the biggest sims youtubers because they would ensure the biggest reach and biggest loyalty bringing in their fans to buy the product their favorite youtuber has worked on. Makes complete sense money-wise but that’s not always what’s best for society and the community which is why we need to speak up to ensure pressure for the corporation to show greater diversity not just in the product but also in the process.
What Japanese simmers are out there on social media/the Sims gallery? I’d really like to see what they come up with when this pack is released. On another note, I think it would be great if EA followed Twitch’s lead and offered mentorship-style media support for up and coming simmers, including highlighting them, so that less experienced simmers have more tools to improve their social media presence. The more high profile simmers there are, the better for EA, too.
This is so cool and such a beautiful build! I love all the use of platforms. The raised stairs going into the lounge is super awesome. This should have a been a thing in The Sims for a while now.
Content creators making EA builds great again ✊ you guys have made such stunning lots, I'm glad the sims team have been making use of the community's skills. Hope they keep doing this

Soo excited for this pack! Hope EA let youtubers do the builds in future packs bc this looks so much better. I think the symmetrical-but-not design is done SO well
I'm so glad the Sims team is finally getting content creators involved with the building aspect. It really boosts my confidence in the level of quality I expect this pack will have!
Iv never been so excited for a pack! James your builds are amazing! This is my favourite of all the builds I’v seen, and I really appreciate the fact he explained all about the platforms and half walls trick. I feel like we get James the RUclipsr and we get James the employee which has made explaining things perfect! Xx
This lounge looks sooo good with the different levels, specially where the piano and mic is, makes so much sense. My favourite part is the entrance with the asymmetric staircase and the little garden, very very well done!
I love that they did this and I’m happy for the people who got to build for the pack... but they’ve all said that they’re out of their comfort zone with this architectural style.. They should’ve collaborated with Japanese/Asian Simmers who are more knowledgeable about and comfortable with the architecture
Yeah i agree. I thing all 4 simmers did an amazing job and no shade to them at all (I wouldn't have turned down the opportunity if I were them either) but EA just refuses to learn what inclusion and representation really is.
@@LizLFey there isn't many well known Japanese RUclipsrs who play the sims, though XFreezerbunnyX should have at least got a look in. Admittedly unless they're already a game changer partner there's probably less of a chance of being seen regardless of your nationality. (can sort of understand James and Simproved getting in - Simproved did a lot for Eco life while on Sparked and because it was well loved they decided to get more players to make lots and probably turned to thier existing knowledge of current game changers in the community and James has done many interviews with the sims team so it was a given in that regard.) if this is successful though they probably will look outside the game changes for more community builders. This is their first full pack of doing so after all.
I understand they wanted to go for the biggest simmers for marketing purposes but all their words on diversity would’ve sounded less empty if they had included at least on Asian simmer, even if he had less reach, like for example Freezerbunny who has been doing amazing Japanese style builds for a long time now
To be fair though, many Asian Americans dont actually understand different Asian architectural significance. Because they also have a cultural disconnect. Had they had REAL Japanese people, that would be cool, but that would require a translator and would force them to deal with international laws as well as adding more Game Changers. What they did was the best they could do for the resources they had. They provided them with inspiration pics and the significance of certain items.
@aimedtokill James and Deli (and maybe simlicy - im less familiar with her) are international simmers... Im not saying they should have used exclusively Japanese simmers but Japanese simmers do exist and if EA actually cared they could have found a way to promote someone who had a connection with the setting of the pack. Sure it would have been harder but EA isn't an indie dev. Again no shade to the people who were picked of the videos I've watched they have all done an amazing job. This isn't against them at all but its is another example of EA being EA.
I am so proud of you and what you have achieved with this. It is absolutely beautiful. For the sims team to include the players into this world to make it this amazing is astonishing. Just because of this, it is hands down my favourite pack. You should be so proud of yourself James.
I think if they ever do the wheelchair will probably just teleport or do some kind of stairclimbing animation that wouldn't make sense in real life but would have to do in game.
I love this build. So sophisticated. Love the mix of modern and traditional and the dark colours in the lounge. Good decision EA getting these builders involved. Can wait to see more.
TO answer the questions asked of us... I love that it's asymmetrical but looks symmetrical, amazing! I love how you used the objects to decorate whether it be the way it was intended or not, I love it when it's used differently! This seems like this was a good challenge for you James, I love all of your choices from the first version to the last! EA did a good by getting actual game players to build lots for this world, VERY WELL DONE!!! LOVE IT!!!
I'm so in awe of this build. Your creativity with the platforms is incredible and works so well for the lot type! The most believable lounge I've seen in TS4.

I moved a household to this world for the first time last night, and by sheer happenstance it was this house they moved into. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how nicely it was furnished. I had figured I'd immediately need to start doing a lot of fixer-upper stuff, since most starters look more like a prison cell than a home, but nope, it's very nicely furnished right out of the gate. Thank you!
I am so glad they asked you guys to do this, this lounge is actually gorgeous??? I feel like I spend so much of my sims' lives in their houses and you guys make me want to actually go EXPLORE and LIVE in this new world.
I love that EA finally reached out to some of the best community builders in the game. This lot is beautiful. I am in love with that bathroom, and that is never my favorite room! Outstanding work, James! I cant wait to see what the other builders have done. I've been wondering what y'all were up to, y'all were so quiet!
The final iteration is fantastic, all the details like the decorative pieces on the windows make it shine, and I love the “behind the scenes” way you are sharing your experience. Your enthusiasm and passion for this project are clear in both the builds and your showcasing of their creation! Having to choose between centering on the lot or the unmovable space in front of the lounge wasn’t fair lol, and I totally think you made the right call. Either way, if it bothers someone, they have the ability to move it where it doesn’t cause them visual stress. It’s also been lovely to go through positive comments, especially seeing respectful discussions on opposing ideas/points of view. 😀

I absolutely LOVE your lounge! I will NOT be bulldozing it! I’m so excited that my favorite Sim builders had a part in this pack! Congrats to you all. Can’t wait to play with your builds! Beautiful job!
EA: We are trying to give you the diversity you guys want! EA: Instead of hiring Japanese simmers to build Japanese buildings let's just do this instead.
I feel like most of the simmers did a pretty good job researching Japanese architecture, but I 100% agree with you - I really hope Japanese people were working behind the scenes on designing pack items, writing descriptions, designing the world, etc. I'm not Japanese so I can't judge but I do feel like it was a poor choice to have 4 white simmers making all the builds :(
No fault obviously to the simmers, they took the opportunity probably any of us would’ve but it shows that diversity is more or an empty words for EA for sure. There is also something to say on our society and biases how all big simmers on yt are white. I would’ve loved if they had included one Asian simmer at least. Freezerbunny has been known to do amazing Japanese style builds.
Super impressed with this build. I'm so glad its coming with the game, I think it will be very easy to turn into so many different venues. It looks so versatile. I can see it as a retail lot, restaurant, cafe, spa etc. Players will get so much use out of this. Thanks for making it!

Hope they keep doing this
This lounge looks A-MA-ZING. I’m so happy that GC got to create them, the builds quality are so much better.
James: let me know if you like what I did with the windows!
Everyone who plays in base game builds: oh no! Texture on exterior walls!
lool ✊🏾😔
Played on cracked version then
Your builds for this pack are absolutely my favourite out of all the creators. You can just tell that you have a talent for this.
Hey James! So happy to see you part of the actual game! EA made a smart decision. I love watching your videos, I used to watch when I didn't have the game because you eased my sims 4 cravings and helped take my mind off the difficulties of life, but even now that I have the game and I watch your videos for inspiration and fun! 😂 And the relaxing, friendly vibes. thanks for the awesome content ☺

Ok

Wow. This lounge looks gorgeous! Can't wait for the new pack - I'm really excited about the platform feature.
Soo excited for this pack! Hope EA let youtubers do the builds in future packs bc this looks so much better. I think the symmetrical-but-not design is done SO well
I haven't been so excited for a pack from the sims in such a long time! I'm glad they asked for help with the buildings. I cant wait
Xx
This looks so good. I can't wait to see it in my game. Congratulations on getting to build for the expansion pack! You deserve it!
I LOVE IT!! Cant wait to get all "juiced" up in that venue!! Those platforms are going to be so much fun to play with, cant wait for this!!
James: one of the things I was trying to do was incorporate some symmetry into it.
Me: I think you mean SIMmetry
this comment deserves more likes XD
Why so cringy?
Imagine if they ever get around on adding wheelchairs now. Everyone went wild with those platforms.
Great point. I hope they can implement ramps.... or else a modder will. :\ But they probably won't add wheelchairs at this point. :(
So many of the lots already aren't wheelchair accessible, it's the same problem with cars the game just wasn't built around them...
I think if they ever do the wheelchair will probably just teleport or do some kind of stairclimbing animation that wouldn't make sense in real life but would have to do in game.
This particular lot is an accessibility nightmare 😳
I love this build. So sophisticated. Love the mix of modern and traditional and the dark colours in the lounge. Good decision EA getting these builders involved. Can wait to see more.
you guys are doing amazing with all of these builds!! i think this will be the first ea pack with every lot done very well in a pack :)
LOVE IT!!!
No one:
Literally nobody:
James: again, this is very early on, it has changed so much
No offense I love this video so much 😂❤️
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂🤣😂 haha laugh funnt
I'm so in awe of this build. Your creativity with the platforms is incredible and works so well for the lot type! The most believable lounge I've seen in TS4.
Who else is gonna get this pack for the following reasons:
- James Turner built 3 builds
-Deligracy built 3 builds
-Lilsimsie built 3 builds
-Simlicy built 3 builds
-The pack comes with sweet counters
It's all about the platforms for me!
@@Xxfancythat79xX True 😂
@@Xxfancythat79xX yesss, platforms all day. i've always been annoyed trying to create split leveling and all its issues. sooo glad to be able to do it no problem and explore so many ways to implement it!
And the platforms!! Oh god I nearly cried when I saw we are getting platforms
Finally an EP where lilsimsie can't diss the builds 😂
This looks amazing!! I'm so happy for the four of you, I really really hope that they do this everytime, every new world they choose 4 new simmers to do the buildings
*Death The Kid voice* "SYMMETRY!"
This is all amazing and I'm glad ea finally decided to listen to the community and gave more leeway with builds.
The end result is soo good. I can’t wait for this game. 😁
So glad they are having players of the game design the builds, you and lilsimsie are my favorite builders, and as usual you guys didn't disappoint.
The nice good mood of the beginning of the video when actually there is finally good content that most people like to share!! ahahahah
Thank you!
This pack looks awesome. Excited to see Game play
I am so glad they asked you guys to do this, this lounge is actually gorgeous??? I feel like I spend so much of my sims' lives in their houses and you guys make me want to actually go EXPLORE and LIVE in this new world.
This one is amazing, loving it so far
I love that EA finally reached out to some of the best community builders in the game. This lot is beautiful. I am in love with that bathroom, and that is never my favorite room! Outstanding work, James! I cant wait to see what the other builders have done. I've been wondering what y'all were up to, y'all were so quiet!
This pack looks so cool!!!
I have restarted the video multiple times to appreciate the opening of this video series. The timing, music, and graphics are great :D
THIS IS THE EARLIEST I'VE EVER BEEN HI
BTW my gf is called sally
SAME LOL
James: We could use move objects, we pretty much had free range
Simsie: We weren't supposed to use move objects but I did anyway, but had to delete it
This lot turned out amazing! The non-symmetry symmetry (see what I did there?) is perfect, love what all 4 of you have accomplished!
Other you tubers that helped: look at these 3 lots I built (one video)
James: **speed build for every lot he made** each in a different video.
CLASSIC JAMES !! 😭😭😭🤚🤚🤚
This build is so sophisticated and beautiful! This is kind of a dream, well built pre-built homes is one thing, but built by one of the BEST Builders is another!!
Omg I can see myself doing so much with this content. I can finally create my favourite Anime called Skip Beat.
I love the subtle asymmetrical style. It’s more organic but has a consistent form. Great work James!
Damn, James, this looks AMAZING! I can't wait for this pack, if only for your builds!
This is so amazing! I'm so glad EA let simmers build the lots.
I don't know if this has been said, so pardon me if I just haven't seen it, but I wonder if the platform tool will be in the free update or if it is a pack exclusive? If it is exclusive I guess I have to start saving 😅 This would be the first pack I've actually wanted since Discover University
The platform system will be in the new base game update soon.
It's free with the update. Basically all build tools are always free updates
Thanks for the information, kind strangers!
I am so looking forward to this expansion pack. The build looks just flawless to me. I think you can and should be proud of what you've created, people will enjoy this! Finally a world that is really elaborate and that doesn't have to be reconfigured to meet players' expectations
James: "The whole new world is just looking fantastic."
Me, a Disney trash: I CAN SHOW YOU THE WORLD SHINING SHIMMERING SPLENDID
I rewatched Alladin for the 5th time a couple of days ago, I love it so much🥰
I’m so excited that simmers like you are making the lots! It’s going to make them so much more personal and honestly way better 😅😅
My question is - DID YALL GET PAID for building the lots? Yes, It's cool and all... but I hope they paid yall for all this work.
I genuinely LOVE the fact that it looks symmetrical but actually isn’t. I think you really balanced the asymmetry in this build. My mind is blown by your creatively here 🤯
damn I’ve never been so early 🤣
I absolutely LOVE your lounge! I will NOT be bulldozing it! I’m so excited that my favorite Sim builders had a part in this pack! Congrats to you all. Can’t wait to play with your builds! Beautiful job!
Man really want to buy this pack, but i want to buy the other packs first.. 😭😭.
Love this build so much! The lounge looks so up-market, like something my celebrity Sims would visit all the time!
YAY!! I always replace most of the community lots in my saves but this is already so wonderful 😭
Super impressed with this build. I'm so glad its coming with the game, I think it will be very easy to turn into so many different venues. It looks so versatile. I can see it as a retail lot, restaurant, cafe, spa etc. Players will get so much use out of this. Thanks for making it!
The use of half wall to prevent sims from walking over is genius James. Very well done. Am literally getting this pack to enjoy your and delis lots
This pack comes out just a couple days after my birthday and I couldn't ask for a better present than all these amazing lots. This one is my favourite so far. Of all the RUclipsrs involved in this project I've followed you the longest and you're still my absolute fave. Can't wait to play with this pack!
I can't wait to send my sim here when we finally get the game. I love the moody vibes and the planter in the bathroom is amazing! Got many ideas to work with for when I can finally build in this world.
Omg I am a little overwhelmed at how much freedom the split leveling gives us! So many optionsss!
honestly I think this will be the first pack that I won't bulldoze most of the builds. all of you did such a great job and it looks so amazing! very excited to play
