I owned one for many years mine was a TDE and was 44 AMP bought it from Kent Lamont in 1977. Traded it away when you could no longer get parts. One of the best most accurate 44's I have ever owned.
The Desert Eagle handles the .44 Magnum... I don't see the Automag coming back unless it can be in the form of something revolutionary in Big Bore Handgun design
First gun was a smith and Wesson .44 auto mag, beautiful piece of history, and for any resident evil fans you might recognise it from re7 biohazard! Edit: didn’t realise I was wrong and read a few comments saying it’s probably not an auto mag!
None of them guns were used in Sudden Impact. There was 4 used in the movie. Guns were made at a company in Whitier California. 2 were 44/357 2 were 44s. I know who has the original and no he will not sell it. It was given as a gift. These guns were not production guns. These were the original 4.
I think it would be good with a scope it's got hitting power but it was to unreliable to be used as anything but target or hunting purpose and the user needs to be able to do the job with one shot they just jammed so much
I believe the year was 1983 and the movie was Sudden Impact
The black guy featured in the clip was also in another Dirty Harry movie. He was the pimp in Magnum Force.
@@frankmiller4550 he was in all the movies but dead pool.

This gun is cool !
Harry used it in Sudden Impact..in 83...not 71...
The bullet holes in the target are coming from the opposite direction in the movie clip.
Special effects squibs…as realistic as sparking lead
best they can get for the silver screen, man!
The best gun to have.
He did not use it in the 71 movie LOL......1983 Sudden Impact
wow thats a real beautifull Gun i like it
One of kind.
Love them
Remember woody in nature born killers had the classic mack bolan loadout beretta/automag. Oliver stone must have been a fan
Used in 83 and his was the 8.5" long barrel
Harry Callahan did NOT! Use the automag in 1971! He used it in "Sudden Impact"... Early 80's! Have you even seen the films?

When you buy DE you buy it in .50.
.44 and .357 aren't good enough.

Isn't this like the Wildy from Charles Bronson death wish 3

Was this the same model gun used by Charles Bronson in a Death Wish movie ?
No, he used a Wildey. We just happen to have one of those as well: ruclips.net/video/eQwfmWBRnbI/видео.html
They need full hot ammo to run right
There was no mention of the .44 Automag.
The actual name of the handgun is "Auto Mag."
How much
The wildy magnum was better less recoil

Kaid's gun
That damn thing was too unwieldy.
Will you take 9 antique coins for it?
"OH, Big man got himself a gun, You know how to use that?"
@Chic 'N' Stu "Waste of bullets, boy!"
This gun don't work for shit. Dirty Harry hated it
"Company didn't do too well, went out of business." - yea, because the gun sucked.
Desert Eagle makes a 44 automatic
